The Jazz are putting up a fight though. I'll give them that. It's just not translating into wins but I do think they might get at least one win off the Lakers.
That Jazz vs Lakers game was amazing!! Glad that the Lakers won in the end though. Happy that the Celtics won their match, this should spice up the series. But I'd really like to see the Lakers take on the Cavs in the finals :D.

http://www.lakers-fan.com/wp-content/uploads/fishfancopy.jpg It was soooo good to see them all with demoralizing looks as they lost! Celtics are going to beat the Cavs though, or Orlando will.
Break out the brooms, baby! Captain Nash leads the team with his off-eye open!
Cleveland is a joke.
Yeah, I saw Lebron James stellar perfomance.
Yeah, I saw Lebron James stellar perfomance.
Same thing that happened last year to them, is going to happen this year. Hopefully my Lakers can pull through :D
NBA really wants Lakers & Cavaliers to showcase Lebron ...
NBA really wants Lakers & Cavaliers to showcase Lebron ...
And if they don't get that, they'll want Lakers & Celtics. I think it's going to be a repeat of last year though.
I don't know the Magic seem to be really, really good this year. So good I think they may beat whoever they play in the next round in 6.
I don't know the Magic seem to be really, really good this year. So good I think they may beat whoever they play in the next round in 6.
Yea, I'm saying I can see it being the Lakers and Orlando in the finals again.
Wow, though wouldn't that kind of suck. I'm really personally hoping that LA doesn't make the final but I don't Phoenix to make it either.
Until the Suns are out of it, I think they have a good chance to be in the Finals. While we did lose the series to the Lakers during the regular season 3-1, 2 of those games were the second night of a back to back set of games where the Lakers had at least a full day of rest. The third loss was played when both Robin Lopez and Barbosa were out of the lineup due to injury and we still only lost by 9. The Suns can take the Celtics or the Magic and probably the Cavs too
And if they don't get that, they'll want Lakers & Celtics. I think it's going to be a repeat of last year though.
What? They don't want Lakers vs. Celtics! They want the Cavs. Everyone knows how bad Lakers vs. Celtics is for TV ratings... They'd rather have the GIANT Cleveland TV audience.
Actually the true irony of history story will be Suns vs Celtics in a triple overtime for Game 7 that Phoenix wins.
Yeah, because as has been made apparent everyone loves going to Cleveland especially Joakim Noah.
What? They don't want Lakers vs. Celtics! They want the Cavs. Everyone knows how bad Lakers vs. Celtics is for TV ratings... If they can't do Kobe vs Lebron or Kobe vs Garnett, I think they would happily take the Amare & Nash vs Garnett & Rondo matchup, given the history.
They'd rather have the GIANT Cleveland TV audience.
You mean the GIANT LeBron TV audience? He is the only reason the Cavaliers are doing well in terms of ratings.
He owns Cleveland right now ... if he leaves and heads to NYC, then he'll be just another sports guy in NYC. They are only a mediocre team without him.
If they can't do Kobe vs Lebron or Kobe vs Garnett, I think they would happily take the Amare & Nash vs Garnett & Rondo matchup, given the history.
I think r3iKo is right. Lebron/Kobe will bring ratings, but so would the age old Celtics, Lakers. There is no Kobe v. Garnett as it would be Pierce or Rondo dealing with him. That said, Celtics vs. Lakers brings a big market into the picture as Boston fans bring ratings and it is something the rest of the country would buy into being it is, Celtics versus the Lakers. Nash... Um, if you are not from Phoenix, you don't care. Amare who? (Wait, is he the brother of that player from U of A I hated? Hehe.) Ya...Phoenix would be great as I think you guys deserve a title, but the ratings would suck.
Not as much you might think, the NBA will play up the history of the triple overtime match plus the other players. Amare vs Garnett will happen. Phoenix is a bigger market than it used to be PLUS if the Suns make it they are the Cinderella story this year. The Suns vs Spurs actually had the higher ratings than many thought.
Who cares about ratings? It's not like the NBA is going to go out of business if less people watch. Cleveland is THE cinderella story every year (for us loyal hometowners) because the entire rest of the world revels in our failures year after year.
The true Cinderella story would have been the Clippers making a run and winning the NBA title. They have a worse franchise record than the Cavaliers ever did.
The true Cinderella story would have been the Clippers making a run and winning the NBA title. They have a worse franchise record than the Cavaliers ever did.
So the team, with the best record in the NBA is a Cinderella? Haha... Not so fast. Although, we all knew the Celtics were better than their record. Much, much better. So, the Cavs, at home, just got owned. HARD. It was like the Celtics were playing the second team middle school subs from St. Mary's academy of the blind. The Celtics, when healthy, are very dangerous. One player does not make a team...
I will add... I see no reason that Lebron would want to sign a long term deal with Cleveland. He wants to play in a big market with the lucrative deals that come with such a place. He'll be in New York, LA, Boston or Chicago next fall.
The most likely place he'll head to is NYC and everyone is aware that is the most likely destination: Boston and LA can't afford him because of cap room and Chicago is at the brink. NYC has been making moves to get the cap room to sign 2 or 3 all-stars, eyeing Lebron in particular.

For one the Knicks suck a** and he would be a one man team. I wouldnt count out chicago at all. They have a superstar in the making in Derrick Rose and Noah is a good player as well. But in the end i think he will still stay in Cleveland, if not i will cheer for him wherever he goes unless it's a team I hate.
