My thoughts of game 5: That flop by Ron Artest was bull, he should get fined for that. Kobe tells Phil to let him guard Pierce, yet Jackson sticks with Artest, who continued to get torched by PP. Why would Phil not let Kobe guard him? Start of the 4th quarter, the Celtics BENCH were able to keep a 6 point lead consistently for a good 3 1/2 to 4 minutes over the Lakers STARTERS. The Lakers need to get more than 16 combined from Fisher and Artest. If LA only has 2 people in double figures in game 6, then this series is o-v-e-r.
Read this earlier and I think the king LBJ is full of himself. I mean come on to announce where he is going he needs an hour long special?
He is "King James" after all. Honestly, I agree with you. The hour long special is ridiculous but I'm still going to watch it. Will he stay with Cleveland or will he choose another team? I'm looking at either Heat, Bulls, or Knicks. I don't want him to stay at Cleveland just because it would mean that everyone speculated for no reason. However, I would rather have him stay there than go to either Chicago or Miami. If he goes to Chicago, sure he will have Carlos Boozer and Derrick Rose but if he wins a championship there, he will still be 5 behind Michael. What's the point? Win in Chicago, Michael's still owns you, win in Cleveland, you're a hero. I don't want him to go to Miami for obvious reason. Stacked teams are never fun. Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and Lebron James is too much. Three superstars? Really? Besides I don't think Heat has enough money for that. Knicks is where I'm hoping Lebron will go. Accompanied by Amare Stoudemire and possibly T-Mac if he stays, that'll be good. Just my thoughts. Sorry for making this a little long. lol.

Miami has enough money to have all 3. Your a laker fan so thats why you dont want him in miami because they would be a huge threat. I agree with you about chicago whatever he does there wouldnt be enough. I hope he stays with the cavs but it looks like he is headed to the heat.

I am a Lakers fan but the reason I don't want him on Miami isn't because they would be the biggest roadblock to a championship for the Lakers. I could care less to tell the truth. Two in a row is enough for me, I'm not an obsessed fan or anything. In fact, I'm tied between Atlanta and LA because I'm from Georgia. Anyway, back on subject, it's because Miami would be way too stacked. Here's what I mean. The 3 top players in the NBA right now, in my opinion of course, others can disagree, are Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and Dwayne Wade in no particular order. Having 2 of the top 3 players, in my opinion again, isn't fair. Bosh is a great player, but he's not the best, so I can live with Bosh and Wade being together. Kobe has Gasol, who is also a great player, but not the best. Lebron can have Stoudemire if he goes to the Knicks, who is also a great player, but again not the best. I think that would be a fair matchup between the three teams. But that's just me, and I agree, it looks like James is leaning towards heat, unfortunately =/
20 bucks says he doesn't announce who he's playing for in the first 10 minutes like he said he was originally going to.
I really hope he goes to Miami and then they still don't win a championship. Too bad the NBA isn't 3 on 3.
I find it amusing that next year's version of the recently-revived NBA Jam franchise won't feature Chris Bosh because the Heat now has 2 better players.

You win molds. lol. I waited 28 minutes for him to say it. He is playing for the Heat. Now let's see if they win that championship.
I honestly don't think they're going to win. At least not in the first year...
They'll be competitive. They won't be better than Orlando in the Southeast...
And it will be Celtics/Lakers again next year. ;)

I just think everyone is going to hype this as being the best trio ever to hit the NBA (which is not true) and they are going to fall. Hard.

I will take Wade/Lebron/Bosh over Rondo/Garnett/Pierce/Allen. It will be tough for them to fill out the rest of their roster but i think they will find a way to get Mike Miller to be the 3 point specialist and get a few veterans who want to win a title. I hate that Lebron left the Cavs but he had to do what is best for him. Too bad Cleveland wasnt willing to trade JJ Hickson to get Amare last season or this probably wouldnt happen. The Cavs owner better hope Hickson becomes a superstar.

They don't call it The Mistake by the Lake for nothing.
I'd say "Well, there's always football/hockey/baseball season" but Cleveland doesn't really have that going for them either...
Miami has to fill out their roster with a bunch of scrubs, rookies and older players. The trio is going to have to play 40 minutes AND stay out of foul trouble AND have supporting players that can play defense, not turn the ball over, and score the occasional point. Easier said than done.

Hey, you can take who you want. I just know what works from the proven history of the game and the record the Celtics have put on display when their guys were healthy over the last three years.
Honestly, the Lakers were the Champions this year, but by the most minuscule of margins. Rondo is only getting better and the big three have a few years left in them.
Sure, you can say that this guy and that guy and that guy when they play together are going to be good, but I KNOW FOR A FACT that the Celtics are going to be good if they are healthy. There is no disputing it at all.
Any argument to the contrary would be ridiculous.
So, have fun with your paper tiger. I'll sleep well this summer with past performance in the books...

Plus, LeBron/Wade/Bosh won't be playing Greece...this is the NBA we're talking about here.
This will make the Miami heat very interesting next year. Who will help them take some of their bigger cost such as Beasley. Also the person who posted mike miller signing, why would he do that when he has the potential to make great money 5-6 mil a year money in somewhere like LA.

My guess would be Toronto or Cleveland...they probably did a sign and trade.

The Heat arent my team, I like the Cavs and that doesnt change just because Lebron left. The heat will be good next year and will be favored to win the east. I think it would be very funny if the Cavs somehow make the playoffs and knock the Heat off in the first round. I know that is wishful thinking but i would love to see it.

And what I am saying is I wouldn't favor them to win the South east.
Let's be honest, Lionsfan, with ourselves.
You can't put together a fantasy baseball or football team that can break .500 (I won't mention your 3-11 football record here...er...whoops) which gives some insight into your ability to judge individual talent, yet you want us to respect your opinion about who is going to win the Eastern Conference in the NBA next year?
We are going to have to do fantasy basketball as from your picks alone, I should be able to theorize which players are going to be total washouts and then take my money to Vegas and win big.
No, really. We need to do this as you are amazing. I say that in the most respectful way possible.
So you are saying Miami will win the East? Can you give me a larger breakdown? Who is going to finish LAST? Oh, please tell me! I need to know! This could be life changing!

Ok smart *** i really dont care if you respect my opinion or not. I cant say right now that the heat will win the east but i would take them over boston any day of the week. Orlando is going to be good as will Chicago.

Any team that has a healthy D. Wade, L. James, and C. Bosh will dominate. These three guys are really good friends and have played together on the same team before ( USA Olympic team) so I'm not worried about chemistry problems or them not getting along ect. ect. The Lakers better start worrying because IMO they are not going to three - peat with a team like this in the league. But I want LA to play Miami in the NBA Finals so Miami can beat the living **** out of Kobe and the Lakers. I don't even think the refs can stop that beatdown from happening to LA this time if it all goes down like I'm thinking , of course.
I'm not worried about chemistry problems or them not getting along
Because we all know a few weeks on an Olympic team tells the story about an 82 game, long haul season, i.e. the NBA pre-season is probably more grueling than the photo friendly Olympic schedule where the best teams are generally filled with NBA bench players (with maybe one star) and most teams are filled with players that would have trouble making the roster on a Division II collegiate team.
I am going to predict (and don't worry, I'll bring this up later with a link) that it takes less than 15 games before one star leaks to the press that they didn't get "the pass" when they were open in that game winning situation or maybe felt like "some other player" is getting all the media while they work their *** off to win (even though the media hype was wrong and they are 3rd in the Southeast.)
Don't get me wrong, I love Lebron in Miami. It sets up a great fall from grace.
Oh, this Miami team is going to implode and it is going to be spectacular to watch!

Wade, James, and Bosh are all good friends regardless of how tough the Olympics are or are not. I just don't see chemistry or anything else being a problem for this team. They set this all up to win a Championship and that's probably what they are going to do . I mean, most teams could barely handle Lebron and his half *** Cavs teams in the playoffs and no team could touch them in the season, so just imagine how many problems they are going to have with him along with Wade and Bosh.
