NY will have cleared loads of cap space off of their roster when free agency begins. Unless he signs a deal with Cleveland, all signs are pointing toward NY.
NY will have cleared loads of cap space off of their roster when free agency begins. I've actually heard a few people will end up in Chicago. One being John Calipairi. Dwayne Wade and Chris have been rumored to be joining them as well. I know they may not get all those guys but I can definately see them landing one.
According to Buzz Bissinger (author & journalist who wrote the book Friday Night Lights which spawned both the film & TV show) who is working on a book with Lebron, there are two things important to Lebron: loyalty and being the first real billion dollar athlete. He also he was not a betting man but he bets Lebron will head to NY. Cleveland does not carry enough lights and NY is the center of advertising in the US.
Won't he make more money on his sponsors by going to the bigger market?
Advertising central for the US is on Madison Ave in Manhattan NY. To be a billion dollar athlete in endorsements, Lebron would have to go to NYC to make it happen. The issue that Lebron is considering is the strength of loyalty he has for Cleveland vs the billion dollar part AND bring the championship to the Knicks in the process.
I actually hope he does go to NY so we can get over the unrealistic expectations that come from having him on the Cavs, because, as Bacchus said, 1 man does not make a team. It's really apparent how bad we are when he sits (last 6ish games of the regular season) or doesn't feel like showing up (couple of games this series).
Consider the cap room you'll have as well because Shaq can void his contract if Lebron leaves

Thats bs. It doesnt matter where he plays, he is going to be the most talked about player in the Nba. He is right now, and the last time i checked he plays in Cleveland. Plus Cleveland will be able to offer him more money for a longer period of time than any other team. Its not like he is hurting in endorsement dollars right now either.
I'm not disagreeing on the whole. But NY is considered the center of advertising and Lebron knows that. If you don't want him to leave, start campaigning

Ny is the center of advertising but i dont think that makes as big of a difference as it did 10-15 years ago. Wherever he goes, he will be shown on t.v alot. I will im very biast when it comes to Lebron, i want him to stay with the Cavs. If he does leave i hope its not to go to NY
I personally would rather see him go to LA..... though not with the Lakers instead with the Clippers. It would create an even better rivalry for Kope and Lebron if they played in the same city. Could you just imagine how crazy that would be.

It would be crazy since they use the same court and it switches who is the home team every match up

Clippers we definitely be contender as well. With Barron, Blake, Chris, and then LeBron... That would be sort of epic. I will third that, and wish it was even considerable.
It would make any Clippers and Lakers game mean much more as they might could compete on a more even level. We'll probably see him in Chicago or back in Cleveland though. It'd be interesting in a way to see him as part of the Bulls as well.
Excited for the Cavs-Celtics game tonight! Let's hope that Cavs win this one to take things to game 7.
Everyone is going to be watching Lebron closely this game .... to see if he has given up and is ready to leave Cleveland. ... Some may claim they are watching the game for other reasons.

Everyone has a bad game every now and then, so why cant Lebron. Kobe has bad games, Mj had bad games. I expect Lebron to have a big game tonight because he will be mad because of all the talk, he plays best when mad. I hope it is enough to beat the C's but im not counting on it.
Because LeBron is GOD, duh. :D
Leave it to Molds to answer the questions of life :D LeBron is one of those players that is expected to perform at a higher level especially during the playoffs. If he has a bad game then it's literally game over. At least that's how I think Cavs fans feel.

Doesn't look like the Cavs have a whole lot of thunder in them tonight either. Quite a physical game though.
At least he had the decency to congratulate all the winning players this year.
Go Celts! That was a pretty sad last minute of basketball though, wasn't it? The Cavs just rolled over and couldn't get off the floor fast enough.
Congrats to the C's, good luck with the Magic you will need it. I think the Magic win in 5. I just hope anyone but the damn Lakers win the title.
Go Celts! That was a pretty sad last minute of basketball though, wasn't it? The Suns announced today in our local paper that they refuse to be intimidated and that the size difference just means they'll score in different ways. I expect a fast paced game from the Suns since Bynum, Odom, Artest and Gasol do not have the speed to match up nor the bench to keep with us.
Yeah i cant believe people here think the C's are a better team.
Me either... Maybe from now on, the team that advances in a playoff series should be the team Lionsfan deems most worthy rather than who actually wins. ;)
Uggh... the free agency period can't get here soon enough.
