I'm usually never too excited about the pre-season games, but I think I might follow this a little.
After last season (in which the Celtics looked like Gods until Christmas) I've decided not to get too emotionally invested until the new year.
So many teams make the playoffs in the NBA that I have no question the Celts will be in them. Thus the regular season is all about positioning, but otherwise meaningless (versus say baseball where half as many teams get in.)
(That being said, I plan to watch some games. Just saying.)
The regular season is the only time I will probably get to see my home team actually play haha Celtics will be back this year. They are too good not to be. Obviously the Lakers will be back as well. But I am hoping they get taken out before the finals this year.

I would like for any team to win but the Celtics,Lakers, or the Spurs. Hehe.
Just took an hour off work to go [strike]meet a client[/strike] to the mall to get a shirt for tonight...it is my first Pistons game after all.
There are 3 sports stores in my mall. The first had nothing smaller than a men's medium. The second had no Pistons gear at all. The third wasn't even open.
I can always buy something at twice the inflated price at the Palace, but would that really be worth it? I don't think so.
Well it was a bad night in the nba for me. The Cavs and the Rockets both lost. I don't see the Rockets being very good at all this year. The Cavs will be good, it sucks they lost to the d*** Celtics though.

The Cavs were 38-2 at home last year and they got the bad fortune to draw the Celtics for the first game of the year at home. I feel bad for the fans, but I guess life is not fair.
After the 1st quarter, it was barely a game as the Celtics just ate them up from all corners of the floor.
It just goes to show that without Garnett, the Celtics are a good playoff team - but with Garnett they are almost unbeatable.

Haha...oh geez Lionsfan, it looks like you and I are going to have another long season! er...well, at least you. :wink2:

Yeah im going to have to agree with alot of what you said. With Kevin Garnett healthy the Celtics are probably the best team in the NBA. Im not sure how Shaq is going to fit in with the Cavs over the season. I think it will come down to the Celtics and Cavs in the east, unless Lebron gets injured or the Celtics have a couple injuries.
Um...this kid's pretty good. Watch out for him in 10 years or so (if he doesn't get burnt out by then).
Um Bacchus? Did MY Hawks beat YOUR Celtics a week or so back? I'm just wondering
I do recall my Hawks beating the most arrogant team in the world.
Did I mention the Celtics are red hot right now? I pulled up their page on Boston.com and my browser immediately crashed.
That is how hot they are....even a firefox can not handle that type of momentum and heat!
(er...ok...so geek humor is not that funny...but I had to try. We are still the team to beat - the Lakers...)
Hawks are rite your Celtics ***. watch out.
It is going to be a good rivalry this year Sean. Very good.
You guys are playing better than you staff allows. We are just playing.
Time will tell, but I suspect there will be fireworks.
Oooooohhhhh Baaaaachuuuuusssss? Where arrrrrrrreeee yoooouuuuuu? You Celtics have lost 2 in a row. Whats going on?
They want to let the other teams in their conference catch up?
It just isn't sporting to have a 9 game lead in the Atlantic (even after the losses.) So they might very well lose a couple more, to be kind...
I mean, they still have the best record in the east and are only one back in the loss overall in the NBA, so I'm not really sweating it.
p.s. Thanks for your concern! :D
The Cavs are on fire. They are 24-8 and The Celtics are 23-7 so the Celtics lead in the east isnt that big. The Cavs lead the Central by 10 and a half games. I loved seeing the Cavs destroy the lakers on Christmas day.

You like the Cavs? I thought you were a Michigan fan?

Yeah im a fan of the Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions. Im from Ohio and have been to a bunch of Cavs games so they have been my favorite Nba team since i was little. Im not really a diehard Nba or Nfl fan, the only team i really care deeply about is the wolverines.

A lead, is a lead, is a lead...
I loved seeing the Cavs destroy the lakers on Christmas day.
And I loved watching the Celtics open the season by beating the Cavs on their home court. ;)

Hopefully the Cavs will get some payback later this season when they play in Boston
