What do you all think of the Magic getting Vince Carter? If they can some how resign Hedo witch they most likely wont since he turned down an offer already. There starting lineup would be amazing. PG. Jameer Nelson SG. Vince Carter SF. Hedo Turkoglu PF. Rashard Lewis C. Dwight Howard
Turkoglu is leaving, that's why they traded for Carter. Zach Randolph from the Clippers got traded to the Grizzlies for Quentin Richardson.
I know Hedo is leaving, but i was saying if they resigned him there starting lineup would be nice. Making room for Blake Griffin to get more minutes with that trade.
I think LeBron and Shaq could be a good match, even if Shaq only has a couple of years left in him, he still is one of the top defenders in the league, and makes up for the interior weaknesses that were exposed by the Magic during the playoffs. It gives LeBron (who for the record I think will ultimately prove to be BETTER than Jordan once all is said and done) a chance to mature and develop under a key vetern player - I think it will entice LeBron to stick around as opposed to going to Europe like he's been threatening to do. It will give them a chance to capitolize big in a short period of time, assuming they can rest Shaq for the bulk of the season (he's only about a 60 game player from my understanding), he can be a major weapon come playoff time. Hopefully both can check their egos at the door. I think the Bulls managed to not make any terrible blunders with their draft picks but it looks like dead weight Deng is going to have to prove his worth. Gordon was the second best player on the team and we're definitely going to miss his offense but his defense absolutely sucks, my mother could score the guy. Obviously the team is being built around the Rook of the Year so let's hope he steps up to the plate. I'm curious about what's going to happen with the Twolves though, I'm a Jonny Flynn groupie, I think he's incredibly underrated and I predict he's going to shock everyone. But the Flynn/Rubio picks were not a good call imo, both are true point guards and Rubio has made it clear in the past he's not interested in playing the 2, Flynn is too small imo opinion to make the transition as a 2 in the league. If they can manage to make it work without losing Rubio, Twolves management are either geniuses, or complete idiots, I'm thinking the latter but we'll see. If the Knicks were smart they'd make a play for Rubio.
I agree Lebron and Shaq could be a good match especially if he is in as good of shape as he was last year. Lebron could end up being the best player of all time imo. I agree the Bulls are going to miss Gordon's Offense and his defense was horrible. I like Jonny Flynn i think he is going to be really good. I think they should trade Rubio to the Knicks because there going to have to wait atleast 1-2 years for him to play in the NBA anyway. Flynn and Rubio wont be able to play in the same Backcourt because there both true point guards.
LeBron's physique is scary. I'm hearing that even though he's measured as 6'8 250, he's actually 6'9 265
LeBron's physique is scary. I'm hearing that even though he's measured as 6'8 250, he's actually 6'9 265
That's actually funny (and agreed, scary), considering most athletes ADD inches and lbs to their stats and here's LeBron trying to be smaller (and in the NBA, no less).
Sorry I've gotta say it, I have absolutely zero problem drinking the LeBron kool-aid. I don't think he's one bit overrated. And this is coming from a Chicago fan, where Jordan is god practically- I think when all is said and done LeBron's going to prove to be the better player. Athletically he is very nearly the perfect player. His physique is ridiculous, his speed is ridiculous, his physique combined with his speed is unbelieveable - the versatility he has is reminescent of Magic but imo he has the potential to be even better than Magic, if he isn't already. Dishes the ball well, has a high basketball IQ, and he's only 24 which means he's got 10 plus years to get even better. Compare just about any player that's been in the league- including Kobe- at the age of 24 and imo it's no contest, Jordan I'm going to say was as good at 24, but I believe on the whole the league is stronger today than it was back then - that's a controversial statement, highly debateable, but it's what I think. On top of all his abilities, he's a far more coachable player than Kobe, with better relationships with his teammates. Yes he's had some spoiled sports moments but just about every true competitor who leaves their heart of the floor has moments like that. LeBron when he gets to Kobe's age (assuming he takes care of himself and doesn't get plagued by injuries) is going to be beyond lethal, if he gets surrounded by the right players (like Jordan) it's going to be dynasty city (did I just pull a Vitale shoot me now).
Ron Artest is signing with the Lakers.
Trevor Ariza signed with the Rockets. Hedo Turkoglu is signing with the Raptors. Rasheed Wallace might go to the Celtics they offered him a contract. Phil Jackson is coming back.
I don't like the NBA since most of the players aren't that attractive. Why couldn't the NBA draft attractive players with talent?
Because they're all playing hockey :D
OMG, well I'm going to start following hockey!
I hate to chime in late, but with a healthy Garnett - does it really matter who everyone else has?
With a healthy Garnett they are the best in the east, but the Lakers are the best team and now they just added Artest to make them better.

You can add names to your roster, but you can't buy heart. The Celtics will go 70-12 next year and win the 18th. You heard it here first. Edit: Of course, I am a little biased.

They didn't have Andrew Bynum when they played them in the 08 finals either. 70-12 i dont think so, 60 wins sounds more likely with a healthy KG and a trip to the finals only to lose to the Lakers.
Just wait guys the San Antonio Spurs will bounce back!the trio of Duncan,Ginobli and Parker will kill it.Lets go SPURS!!!:D
Just wait guys the San Antonio Spurs will bounce back!the trio of Duncan,Ginobli and Parker will kill it.Lets go SPURS!!!:D
Don't forget they added Richard Jefferson too. There going to be good this year like normal.
The best dunk you'll never see Nati Harnik / Associated Press LeBron James apparently doesn’t want anyone to see him getting posterized. LeBron James is victimized at his skills camp by Xavier's Jordan Crawford By Mark Medina July 9, 2009 The variation of the age-old question relates to LeBron James: If a college basketball player dunks on him, but the video evidence is confiscated, did it really happen? After Xavier's Jordan Crawford dunked on James at his skills camp Monday in Akron, Ohio, freelance photographer Ryan Miller told CBS Sports that a Nike representative took his footage upon James' request. "He just said, 'We have to take your tape,' " Miller told CBS Sports. "They took it from other guys too." James' censorship mandate brings new meaning to his nickname "King James." "There's nothing I can think of besides LeBron just not wanting it online," Miller told CBS Sports. "It's a good story to tell people, I guess," adding that he was a bit angry. "I lost my tape."
LeBron must be embarassed lol.
LeBron should be ashamed of himself. Not because he got dunked on, but because he's doesnt want anyone to see the tape. If anything, he should be giving the young guy credit.

I knew there was a reason I never liked Reggie Miller (apart from his severe underbite): So this was flown over Malibu and Santa Monica this past weekend. Apparently Reggie has a thing for his neighbor Ali Kay, who just so happens to be engaged to Diane von Furstenburg's son Alex. If you're engaged to someone, it's on you to not participate in extracurricular activities without said fiance. :p
