Wade and Lebron keep saying its a chemistry problem. IMO, the problem is that they can not defend Rondo, Allen, or any Boston Big.
The funny thing is, was that not the whole reason that they said they were going to be so awesome? Because their chemistry was sooooooo good?

Well like Lebron said, " Rome wasn't built in one day." Maybe someone should have informed Prince Sellout that it took 800+ years to build Rome...
Do you think Miami should [strike]of got[/strike] have gotten Shaq?
He would have been a nice upgrade for their defense, but on offense I think he would struggle because the heat don't really run sets or plays. The Heat offense can be summed up pretty easily: Lebron takes the ball up the court, runs around for a good 18 seconds or so then shoots some stupid shot or occasionally passes to a shooter on the perimeter. Not a lot of opportunities for big men down low.

Boston is clearly the team to beat as of right now IMO. LA Lakers are still the best in the West even though they went through a rough stretch but they're playing better now. I hope we get a rematch of last year's Finals and I hope Boston stomps the Laker's guts in. The Heat are playing better now and are on a roll but I just don't think they can get to the Finals or even the Eastern Conf. finals in just one year like I did before (After watching them play several times). If Boston keeps playing like they are right now (Yeah, I know it's only December, but still).... I don't see anyone stopping them.
That's not a response. Just a mash up between Michael's "maybe it's my fault" commercial, and LeBrons dumb one. It just so happens to make LeBron look like a *****.
The Heat beat the Knicks tonight for their 11th straight victory. I'm not sure if its the Heat are getting good or if its because they haven't played very many good teams during this win streak. It is probably a combination of both.

The Celtic's streak is still alive (12) and even with Rondo out, they are looking as good as ever.
The Heat have raw talent and it seems they have learned to play as a team. I still don't know if they can beat the upper echelon of the NBA like the Spurs or Celtics in a seven game series. Looking at the victims during their streak, I don't feel overly impressed - but a win is a win is a win.
Was that a good trade for the Wizards?
I think it absolutely was a good deal for the Wizards. Rashard Lewis will open up lanes for John Wall to drive to the bucket. I can not believe the Magic gave up Rashard Lewis for Gilbert Arenas.

Lewis is probably having his worst career year and hasn't proved to be nearly worth the money he's getting paid...not that Gilbert is much better right now.
I think that this deal screws the Magic. They lost their backup center and starting PF and their size is pretty awful now. JRich isn't a bad pickup but I'm a VC fan (probably the only one right now) and feel bad for him b/c I thought this was his best shot at winning one. All in all I think that this pretty much clears the way for the Celtics in the East (aside from maybe the Bulls, we'll see) since the only team that could play with them in the middle gutted their chances of doing so.

I agree. I think the Magic made an impulse decision because they were on a little bit of a slide. They couldn't win with Hedo before, why do they think this time around will be any different?

I think Hedo just fit their system which is why they were so high on him. Any guy in the right offensive scheme will thrive...just look at scrubby guys like Gibson and Mo Williams who made their money off of spotting up for LeBron. I'm from Jersey, but I'm not a Net fan even though I go regularly b/c I love the game, but Devin Harris is another one. Everyone thought he was God's gift those first few months but Lawrence Frank was basically like "Go do whatever you want out there" so of course he was gonna look good and since he was never the center of the offense in Dallas everyone was blown away.
I never realized there was an NBA thread here. I'm happy I found it.

Same here
And the Celtic's streak moves to 13 games...
I was quite impressed by the Pacers today. They have a solid young core with Collison, Granger, and Hibbert. They should have a pretty good draft choice next year, plus they have money to spend this summer. I think they could be pretty legit in 2-3 years.
Mavs > Heat.
I was looking forward to this game as well as the Heat match up on Christmas day with the Lakers to see if the new Chemistry was for real against "real" teams. If they lose both, it is going to be hard to take them seriously as title contenders especially being they have dropped all 4 games thus far to the Celtics and Mavs.
Poor Bucks...they could be good if they stayed healthy....finally Bogut is getting close to 100 percent and now Jennings goes down.
But, as long as the Jazz and my boy D-Will keep rollin I am good.
Damn, Rondo is amazing. You get to see how different this Celtic team is when he is on the floor being the ball General.
Not to mention, Ray Allen was major clutch tonight.
Celtics - 105
Spurs- 103
(And the biggest news is they beat the Spurs without KG.)
From the posts ive read in the Baseball and Football threads I would assume your a Boston fan Bacchus. I no longer have love for you :p lol. Much respect to the Spurs though hell of a season they are having. Goes to show you even though what people call them ''Old'' and write them off they can still play.

Me, a Boston fan? Nah.
I am just a connoisseur of sports and all the best teams happen to be from Boston, thus why I am always commenting on them. :wink2:
Boston rules the sports world, why can't people just accept it already. And Glen Davis has been huge starting in KG's place. When everyone is healthy, the Celtics are just too deep.

Very disappointed in my Spurs. They got embarrassed defensively by the Knicks last night and they come into Boston and play the same ****** defense they played against New York.
I love my team and our record is great, but I just don't know if they can keep it up in the playoffs. I'm worried that the Spurs will run into a great defensive team in the playoffs and will rely on their 3 pointers to beat them. It was evident tonight that the 3's weren't going in, yet the Spurs still used it to try to catch up. Spurs have a long way to go before I call them ''contenders".
Props to Boston. They are clearly focused and still play great defense. I wish my Spurs still had that.
The Laker fans are booing their own team. I love it.

The Celtics looked tough today. I don't think there is any doubt they are the team to beat in the east, if not the entire NBA. Rajon Rondo is so much fun to watch.
Maybe if they stop making it all about the Lakers and Celtics then I might watch more.
Do you know what the NBA would be without the Lakers and Celtics? Hockey. ;)
