never heard of him. is he responsible?
Sensible business man that has never held office, he has the endorsement of the man I would've liked to see as mayor and voted for the last 3 times *sigh* I'm voting after work and still undecided.

Both Bing and Cockrel would be pretty decent I think. P.S. Good on you for voting!

Also, is it just me or am i the only one who hates the NBA now? I mean its nothing but newbies.
His name sounded so familiar. Also, is it just me or am i the only one who hates the NBA now? I mean its nothing but newbies.
Maybe. I for one find it extremely interesting that people my age are doing some ridiculous things and enjoy watching them play.

My husband works for the city and is content with his boss currently (appointed by Cockerel) he doesn't want another change so if I vote for Bing he'll be annoyed haha. I liked the NBA about 5-10 years ago, I'm still bitter this year, but I think even before this year it's not what I am used to and what I like.
I miss the greats like Larry Byrd, Michael Jordan, etc.

I think it's just a whole different game.
I miss the greats like Larry Byrd, Michael Jordan, etc.
You mean Larry BIRD? You're watching the future Michael Jordans and Larry Birds. You just don't realize it yet.
You think so?
You think so?
I'm assuming you were replying to me? If anyone has a chance to match and/or pass MJ's accomplishments, it's Lebron.
Not a King James fan, but I think he'd be the one.
Not a King James fan, but I think he'd be the one.
Yeah, it kind of pains me to say it, but he's damn good. I wonder where he's going to go when his contract runs out.
You mean Larry BIRD? You're watching the future Michael Jordans and Larry Birds. You just don't realize it yet.
Exactly. Years from now people will be saying the same thing about Kobe, Lebron, D. Wade..etc.
Yeah, it kind of pains me to say it, but he's damn good. I wonder where he's going to go when his contract runs out.
He needs to stay in Cleveland where things have already become successful.
Yeah, it kind of pains me to say it, but he's damn good. I know I have a perfect place for him to go....::coughbobcatscough::
He needs to stay in Cleveland where things have already become successful.
If he's going to stay in Cleveland, he needs more of a supporting cast... Everyone's saying the Lakers are so good because not only do they have Kobe, they have Gasol, Fisher, an up and coming player in Ariza, etc. Lebron has Sideshow Bob and Wally World. Not quite the same caliber of players...

If the Cavs can manage to get some dominate post players they'll be a lot better.
We now have a Hall of Famer as mayor. Crossing my fingers for good things. I was slightly surprised for half a minute, then I remembered, 'oh yeah these just might be the same folks that voted Martha Reeves to city council'
Let's go Celts! I want a win from all 3 Boston teams tonight :)
Let's go Celts! I want a win from all 3 Boston teams tonight :)
Well from the looks of it, The Celtics have this won already but you never know.
Whoa, tonight's games were pretty intense.
The Celtics should win out eventually in the series but have to give it to the Magic for taking game 1
From the LA Times, Derek Fisher likely to be suspended for game 3: League source: Derek Fisher likely to be suspended - Los Angeles Times How much of a difference do you think this will make?
I don't know but that picture, do people really wanna fight with Ron Artest, that guy is just nuts
I don't know but that picture, do people really wanna fight with Ron Artest, that guy is just nuts
Whatever do you mean Mary? Fans LOVE Ron Artest...especially Detroit fans! :hypocrite:
Haha, dude needs some meds, stronger ones if he's already on them.
I just had to resurrect this thread to say that this just may be the greatest Eastern/Western Conference finals of my adult life thus far. Every single game has been amazing. I would love to see a Denver/Cleveland Final (though I wouldnt hate it if Orlando eeked it out) but there's a part of me that wants to see Kobe and LeBron try to one up each other even though I can't stand the Lakers.
I want to see Denver pull it out. I'm still bitter Detroit traded Billups so I would love to see him do well. The Pistons have refused to admit that they made one of the worst trades EVER...nothing like an NBA championship to figure it out. On the other hand, I couldn't help but cringe when Dahntay Jones got 5 fouls in 13 minutes. What starter has more fouls than points? Who does that?
