Lets go HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets go BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hawks gotta' step it up! But I'm all for Lebron getting a ring. :victory:
freaking pistons, I've paid little attention to them since Iverson was signed.
Trade of the year, for Denver. Ugh!
Guess they had a good run 6 years to the eastern conference. I don't watch hockey so it'll be back to watching baseball
Oh come ONNNNNNN...
Can't you guys go one game without overtime??
Maybe I should stop watching since every game I've watched has gone into OT.
EDIT: Is anyone having problems with their HD feed? Mine is super choppy...
Great game and we pulled it off by the skin of our teeth. I think this is an interesting series to watch, but even if we are to move to round 2 it does not bode well. Missing Garnett is liking missing Larry Bird (ok, I won't go that far but still.)
We are a wounded animal. A BIG ANIMAL! But wounded none the less...
Yes sir!! :victory: This is their year.
I guess it might be their year, although it is sad that we are not going to see a true Cavs vs. Defending NBA Champ series.

You never know. They just have to step their game up. I still cant believe the Bulls have been giving them a run for their money.

But without a healthy Kevin Garnett, this is not the NBA Championship team. What did you expect? They lost the best player on the floor...
Think Cavs without Lebron (well...not that bad as without Lebron the Cavs are a lottery team.)
Garnett is probably one of the top 5 players in the league (not scorers, players.) He is the franchise.
Allen and Pierce are amazing and are holding this team up on their shoulders, but without Garnett, the Celtics are at 75% strength on any given day. That is enough weakness with the level of talent in the NBA, to lose and make games with what use to be weaker teams - close.
This is not the Celtic team that won 20+ straight in the first half.
Anyone else happy the Spurs are gone? I've been running around throwing cushions like a lunatic.
I am always happy when they are gone. Ever since that bad draft where we (i.e. Celtics) did not get Duncan - I have hated them. Then again, I don't pay much attention to that lesser conference. :D

Cavs without Lebron? I don't even want to imagine that scenario. You have a good point though, the Celtics are in great need of Garnett right about now and it's very obvious to see. It's just sad to see that they're having a hard time with the Bulls. :sadwalk:
Anyone else happy the Spurs are gone? I've been running around throwing cushions like a lunatic.
I cannot stand the Spurs. They are a very boring team with a bunch of babies who are always wining about something.
Cavs without Lebron? I don't even want to imagine that scenario.
Oh it wouldn't be pretty. Can you imagine Sideshow Bob being the go-to guy on the offense?
I am ecstatic the Spurs are gone. Tim Duncan is such a whiner.
I'm glad the Spurs dynasty is over too, never liked them and half the players on their team are floppers, I can't stand floppers, it's like watching the Italian national soccer team playing basketball.
I'm loving the Chicago/Boston match up, I didn't think my Bulls had a chance in hell. Glad that people were properly introduced to Derrek Rose. It feels like a kind of a throwback and it's the best series going right now. I know the Celtics are clearly not the same team w/o Garrnett but I don't care, I'm just going to enjoy it while it lasts.
I stopped paying close attention way early in the season when we got Iverson, trade of the season,,,for Denver
Worst trade EVER. I have no idea what they were thinking.
It really surprised me that Boston and Chicago were tied....in fact with exception the Cleveland/Detroit series the entire east is close. The West seems to be having a a better time though.

I guess they thought Iverson would give them that spark that would put them over that hump to make it to the Championship. Chauncy Billups is clearly showing everyone how crazy of a trade that was (Iverson is too).

No way. Just looking at the Stones starting 5, there is no way AI could've fit into the lineup without them paying the price. It was a god-awful trade to begin with and as soon as I heard about it, I knew they were going to be in bad shape. Obviously Billups is thriving and they're kicking themselves in the *** now...
I'm seriously still as mad as I was when this first happened. And what's gonna happen next year, ugh, guess they'll have some money freed up though, what to do with it
The rumors circulating is that Detroit was on the verge of self destructing anyways I think it comes with the "Bad Boys" moniker, it seems like they just called this a lost season and are focused on rebuilding. I do think Iverson was a terrible choice though - what an absolute waste of talent.
What are our thoughts about the Josh Smith showboat missed dunk at the end of the Atlanta game. I can see getting excited it's been an intense series, you want to put an exclamation point on a great game effort. I don't think there's anything wrong with entertaining the crowd, that's I think the fun part of watching sports- the poster/highlight reel making plays. Apparently people are saying that it was poor sportsmanship but I think the worst part was that he missed it - missing it made him look like more of an a** than attempting it imo. What do you guys think?

I was at a bar watching that game, and the ENTIRE bar let out a collective "ooooooooooh". It definitely made him look like a *******.

That was not a good display of sportsmanship overall; however, for the fans it's a different story. IMO the Hawks have a right to be excited and put on a show if they want. They have come a long way in the past few seasons. I remember going to a game and the stadium was half-filled because they sucked so bad. So I think it's cool that they want to do something they havent been doing in the past seasons, which is excite their crowd.
Why can't everyone finish in 4 games like the Pistons? I'm just saying.
My friends said the Celts game was tied with something like 40 seconds left. I said, "Don't turn it on, if I watch it'll go to OT." We went to In n Out instead, then the bowling alley.
Cut to 45 minutes later...triple OT. I want to drink myself to death. 95% of the people there are Celts fans for unknown reasons. Rondo almost goaltends. Everyone goes, "Oh shit, he's lucky he didn't get goaltend." (actual quote) At this point I want to smack someone.
Everyone says to foul, I tell them they're stupid. Bad last shot. Bulls win. I clap and almost get accosted. I remind myself never to go to a bowling alley during an NBA playoff game.
Note to self: if you're on the West coast, even if it kills you, cheer for the Lakers or else you stand a chance of getting your *** kicked...they don't mess around here.
