I loving this series, I don't think any other series this year is gonna live up to it. Rondo's a dirty player though, and there were a couple of times when I wanted to reach through the tv and strangle Hinrich. I know this would be a completely different series with Garnett around, but for now I'm just enjoying the ride.
Derrek Rose he may not be Ray Allen but he's rookie of the year and playing like a seasoned pro.
@Hotboih yeah I remember when I was growing the Atlanta Hawks were one of the best teams, I still remember watching Dominique Wilkins in the slam dunk contests and going head to head with Jordan. It's nice to see them coming back.

Rondo is a pretty dirty player. I'm still mad he got away with that hard foul he put on Brad Miller. If it wasn't for that, the Bulls most likely wouldve won that game.
Last night's game was super exciting and D. Rose did perform well except when he missed those two free throws at the end of the game. It reminds me of those free throws he missed last year in the NCAA championship game.
Alright..I have avoided this thread like the black death....
But calling Rondo out. He is playing to win an NBA ring. Leave him alone. He is a player. A monster. A machine. He will do what it takes to prove himself amongst superstars. Can you imagine being Rondo amongst his cast? Frak. Rondo is good. And yet he is the 4th, maybe 5th best player on this team? He will fight for our pride.
All this Celtic hate.
Maybe you guys need a "banner session" at The Garden...
It is interesting how people need a reminder who the current NBA Champions are, or who the all time champions are with 17 rings..

Yeah I was wondering where were you were hiding out at. I believe in doing what it takes to win but there's no way the officials shouldnt have called a flagrant foul on Rondo for what he did to Brad Miller. On a better note, he has really improved a lot. I remember when he used to be a wild little player.

Show 'em who's boss B! I really don't think Rondo has been that dirty either, just playing hard. It's the freaking playoffs man! I don't want someone jogging down the court and hugging the other team! Maybe it is just the hockey player in me, I dunno, but I tend to think most bball fouls just come from players acting most of the time...On to game 7 then.
Oh and molds, I will NEVER root for the Lakers while I am out here, even if I am being attacked at a bowling alley! Haha. It was so fun during the summer last year when I was working and got to rub it in everyones face when we beat the Lakers. Luckily I had one of the stock room guys on my side to help protect me ;) I also hate the stupid Laker flags on all the cars.

:good: Exactly. There was alot of Rondo hate last night, he was getting booed everytime he touched the ball. Tomorrow's game is going to be intresting. Hopefully the Celts will take it without having to go through three overtimes like they did last night (actually, as long as they take it I'll be happy).
Bruins too!

Go B's! They are leading right now going into the 3rd 3-1! Unfortunately I get stuck watching the Ducks (blech) v Red Wings instead :(

There are some bad men, bent on destruction.

Woohoo! They just cut to the Boston game now that the Ducks have lost :) Sadly they cut right after their 4th goal...
I need to see these bad men tear through some people on their way to the Cup!

Wings in 6.
Agreed. I may be biased against them but I don't see the Ducks winning this series.
Oh I don't either. I was referring to the Wings-Bruins series, if it happens.

OH, haha! Well in that case..NO WAY JOSE! B's are gonna school the wings! Muahahahahah!

Doubted...but we'll see...I have a day at the spa riding on the Wings making it to the finals.
The NHL has to infiltrate all the other pro sports threads because it doesn't get enough love ;)
It is totally the Bruins year! I can feel it! (though it may not be their game right now, B's aren't doing so hot but I have faith they can pull off some magic)
Aww man, I wished I watched Hockey. I feel sooo out of the loop. All I ever hear about on ESPN is Ovechkin and Crosby.
They are crazy good, especially for their age. It really isn't a series between the Capitals and Pens, but a showcase of Ovechkin v. Crosby. Which is fine with me if it brings more viewers to the NHL.

That's the nature of the beast, people get booed, that's when you know you're good when the opposing team is booing you- he should relish that. I actually cheer for Boston against everyone EXCEPT the Bulls (I'm a Chicagoan, we ride or die or with our teams no matter how much terrible they are) mainly because I'm a huge Garnett fan and was super excited when he got to be somewhere where he had an opportunity to win big. I'm not saying Rondo isn't good, he's great, he fights hard and he has the jewelry to prove it, that goes without saying. But he IS a dirty player he always has been - that clothesline shot was just one of several examples.
But I'm glad to see the Celtics back doing well, you know, since before that they were sucking for like 20 years, only took a Chicagoan to turn things around. . .

Are you wearing flannel right now listening to Mudhoney while reading Hilary Clinton's book, It takes a village? If not, you'd better look in the mirror, lol.
The Bulls have been all sorts of suck for over a decade.
Not to mention they sucked in the 60's, the 70's and the 80's.
We could fill the United Center will Hall of Famer Celtic alum! :wink2:

WTF are you hiding under my sofa Bacchus? :sofa: My Mudhoney record is scratched though, will you settle for some Sonic Youth?
Very mean to throw my hypocrisy back in my face by the way. But actually I feel somewhat of a kinship with Bostonians in that I think they like Chicagoans stick with our teams through rain and shine, good times or bad, dynasties and curses. And when we win, we rub it in everyone's faces. . .repeatedly.

Haha, ok - I'm sorry.
And I was always a fan of Sonic Youth! :D
election day here, Hall of Famer Dave Bing running for Mayor. During the last election he was outside our voting precinct and my husband was annoyed with the crowd, I whispered, 'Dave Bing, Dave Bing, Dave Bing' he must've heard me commenting turned around and shook our hands, I was like, 'nice to meet you, sorry I didn't vote for you' :p
