So since Cara Maria said Carley's name was on her jersey I wonder if Carley was the one they wanted but couldnt drop everything last minute. She has been campaiging for awhile to be on a challenge...and still is. Mandi also said on twitter that she was aked but had too much going on, but hopes to be on the next one.
She said she had a bad time on the Ruins
I don't think very many of the women had a good time on The Ruins. Kimberly has said she didn't like it. We all know Tonya didn't have a good time. Veronica and Katie both have vocalized disliking ther experience on that particular challenge. Casey didn't have a good time (that may have been more because of the constant ridicule she got). I'm sure Shauvon and Evelyn didn't have a good time. It was pretty obvious Johanna didn't have a good time there. I think Sarah and Susie enjoyed themselves and I'm not exaclty sure of what Kelly Anne and Brianna's thoughts are on that particular challenge.
Veronica said they had ****y food, horrible cheap alchohol and didn't go out nowhere from the house on the Ruins.
I'm just surprised most of the RW Hollywood people didn't come back. I know Kim said she had a horrible time on the Ruins, but how horrible could it have REALLY been? (Unless something Tonya-like happened to her as well and we don't know...) I don't think Brianna really had much of a chance, I actually think she could've done pretty well had her team not been stupid enough to send her in instead of Casey, maybe her team could've won more challenges since Casey was the reason they lost every week. Nick was just boringggggg on both of his challenges, so I can understand them not asking him back. Dave quit The Island, so I don't think they'll wanna ask back a quitter (although I never saw much of the season, so I'm not too sure why he did) I wonder if Brittni has been asked though, I don't see why they wouldn't ask her back. As for the rest of the cast, I guess BMP just didn't find them interesting enough?
I know Kim said she had a horrible time on the Ruins, but how horrible could it have REALLY been? (Unless something Tonya-like happened to her as well and we don't know...)
I'd say knowing that something happened is horrible enough not to return.
In Dave's defense The Island was a horrible intro challenge for any rookie and I would prob. have quit too. Had actually been on a challenge I think he would have been just like Dunbar and Sarah.
As we can all see, the challenges now seem a bit more fun. The cast are able to go out more than they used to (Duel 2, Ruins) and have a little bit more "freedom". I thought it was due to the cast complaining but according to Veronica, she said on twitter that it's due to the success of "Jersey Shore". With the Jersey Shore cast being able to go out all the time and have fun, production apparently changed their minds about being insanely strict and let the cast on the challenges have SOME more freedom to hopefully boost ratings. I've always hoped for Sarah to debut as well.
She said she had a bad time on the Ruins
What a lame excuse. The cast is different every season. Just because there are people there that you may or may not have starting drama with, doesn't mean they will be at every challenge you go to.
In Dave's defense The Island was a horrible intro challenge for any rookie and I would prob. have quit too. Had actually been on a challenge I think he would have been just like Dunbar and Sarah.
Dunbar, Dan, Cohutta, Ashli, and KellyAnne stuck it out.
Dunbar, Dan, Cohutta, Ashli, and KellyAnne stuck it out.
Dunbar had a key basically the whole time. KellyAnne was bonding with Evelyn. Dan was drunk the whole the time and may not have even realized he was there. Cohutta was just happy being around KellyAnne IMO but he's a good example. Ashli's a great example.

Just because there are people there that you may or may not have starting drama with, doesn't mean they will be at every challenge you go to.
I don't think that's a lame excuse at all. She had a terrible time. Why return to something you didn't enjoy? You never know what you're going to get when you go into these challenges. If you haven't had a good challenge experience and have a great life at home, why give that up for the off-chance you may win some money on a challenge? It's not worth it for everyone. I don't think there was a chance that Hollywood could put together a team for this challenge. Perhaps in a future challenge, we will see Brittini and/or Brianna. I really liked Brittini on The Duel II.
What a lame excuse. The cast is different every season. Just because there are people there that you may or may not have starting drama with, doesn't mean they will be at every challenge you go to.
It wasn't about the people on the cast. Many cast members have said that the way the cast was treated by production from The Ruins to Cutthroat were pretty terrible.
It wasn't about the people on the cast. Many cast members have said that the way the cast was treated by production from The Ruins to Cutthroat were pretty terrible.
Unfortunately, I didn't really hear too many stories about why so many people loathed being on The Ruins. I have noticed that a lot of challengers from that season have not returned since. I did hear a lot about Cutthroat tho. They wouldn't let anyone check emails or call home, not even for 5 minutes, I heard that they took away a kick ball so they couldn't have fun or anything. It seemed like Cutthroat was a pretty miserable experience for many cast members.

I remember on a podcast (one of Derrick's, maybe) hearing that they did indeed take away a ball that the cast was playing with, which is completely ridiculous and I am glad to see the cast having more fun. And the fact that the cast got so excited to be on the bus where there was music and having it be the only time that they could dance and enjoy themselves? Yeah, sounds like a pretty ****ty experience.
It wasn't about the people on the cast. Many cast members have said that the way the cast was treated by production from The Ruins to Cutthroat were pretty terrible.
I can believe that. The Ruins had a very negative vibe to it IMO so it doesn't surprise me that the cast is saying those things.....I don't get why production has treated them so awful. Do they not understand that that makes people not want to do these things?
Veronica also said if she was to return she'd want a shot at the 300k. She probably feels like she'd be easily targeted and voted off so she doesn't care to return.
They stapled a soccer ball (or taped it or something weird like that) to the wall and said "If you clean your rooms, you can have this"
That is so ridiculous. What are they, five?
I actually dislike it when it shows them going to the bar/club every episode. I liked it better and more entertaining when they had to sit in the house and find their own ways to entertain themselves.
Interview with Katie Doyle Katie wrote in detail about the awful conditions on "Cutthroat". It's very interesting and insightful. Thankfully the conditions now have gotten better, but not to where it was back then (battle of the sexes/gauntlet 1).
A few excerpts Katie wrote about Cutthroat: "....Production has gotten so strict that we have literally no privacy or options anymore. We used to be able to bring a book or a magazine, cameras, iPods, and be able to use a team cell phone. We had access to a computer..." "We had no air conditioning and our house was so hot we couldn't sleep." "We all b--ched a lot this season and were miserable. That's why you see lots of people voting themselves in." "...We could take fun pictures, but now I have no documentation I have ever even been to Prague or Thailand besides the episodes." "..Now, we get fed 3 times a day by a caterer with no option to make a sandwich in the middle of the day. And if you didn't like the food, you were screwed. No sodas, and if we did get them, they were warm." "...We drink lukewarm water and they would give us a limited number of water bottles and told us to refill it with tap water. We used to get our laundry done, and the house cleaned. Nope, not now. It's more of a prison really." This is so sad! lol.
Its Eastern Europe, I don't know what she was expecting.
Anyone else read this ?
Good interview. I really like Melinda and would love to have seen her fighting with Trishelle, Trishelle & Zach hooking up and Danny fighting with people. Poor editing so far--maybe that hurts the show more than anything

Poor editing so far--maybe that hurts the show more than anything
It's definetly a problem with the show. I remember on a couple of seasons the cast have talked about all this crazy **** happening and none of it ever airs and when you look at the Trailers and **** they should've shown episodes. I can definetly believe it.

Poor editing so far--maybe that hurts the show more than anything
Trishelle and Zach went into the Challenge with plans for a showmance but when Zach got interested in Joanna, they stopped it. It wouldn't have really advanced the storyline at all. I am disappointed they didn't show the fights Danny and Melinda were involved in though.

No food, no beverages, no alcohol, no AC, no sightseeing, nothing. That sucks. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to be on that challenge. Unless it was The Island though, I don't see a problem with them living in a more Survivor-like setting, I actually thought that was kinda cool, seeing them fend for themselves.
Listening to Derrick's new pod...he said the road rules team that was put together after Sydney left would have been him, Darrell, Rachel, and Katie. That team would have destroyed everyone.
