This statement is entirely factually inaccurate. Nothing could be further from the truth. At least two of those you named are already committed to the summer challenge and one other on the list is considering it. It's beyond me how you could make such a statement so openly.
Which 2?

O No!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh you silly people. We'll have to jump through a few flaming hoops before V1 will give us any names. ;)
Oh you silly people. I really do have good reasons for keeping quite.
Subject change here... I was just watching Guantlet 2 today, and TJ seems to make all these final calls on the guantlets- does he really have any power? Or do producers step in and make a call, then TJ presents it to the cast in front of the cameras? Warning...I did write this after having a few drinks with my husband...if it doesn't make sense, blame the hubs.
Ah I understand. -zips mouth-
I just finished the Inferno episode where Seattle David is completely useless at everything and CT takes his place in the Inferno against Shane because they are old friends from back home. CT didn't have nearly as much 'roid rage as he seems to have these days and was almost likable in standing up for his friend. Also, I completely forgot about the Leah/Darrell hook up. I really hated Leah for some reason, but re-watching the Inferno made me realize she isn't that bad. Even worse, it made me like Mallory a lot too. Coral just seems horribly annoying on this one...and I usually like her. Darrell shoulda come back for one of the Duels, if only because he had won every challenge he's been on. Ok, time to get some sleep and stop thinking about these horrible horrible people.

As for David, he may have had more potential than almost anyone, but when you put as many chemicals in your body as he did, there is going to be some affect. What you saw of David during Inferno could have made him a poster child for the old "just say no" campaign.

He should just leave that to Jon.

I don't know why I previously wasn't a fan of either, probably just all the crazy things that happened on the Paris season. You know what, I must be so naive because I never thought that about David. I just thought he was too old for the kid games and just went there for a vacation (he was lounging and taking naps during the challenge). Interestingggggggggg info, makes complete sense.
Also, I completely forgot about the Leah/Darrell hook up. I really hated Leah for some reason, but re-watching the Inferno made me realize she isn't that bad.
Really I think all but Jeremy, Mallory, Leah, and Ace (excepting taking the vote to the inferno personally, which wasn't so bad) had annoying, horrible, and nasty sides show of them in this challenge. Interesting because they were the new kids just off their season (the Paris cast). Actually, I think Mallory was involved with the alliance Julie got together (which was off screen) in order to get rid of Coral, who actually ended up being the best female competitor on the team at that point. Ironically, Julie tried to get rid of Coral and called her out on things she herself was doing - Julie started a lot of drama and tried to manipulate the team votes as well. But I will just say that I think Mallory probably allowed herself to be pulled into Julie's manipulations, since Mallory was such a nice girl and new to challenges. Some people more than others were annoying, of course, but think about: - The whole RR team throwing missions to get rid of Katie, CT and the rest of the RW guys left trying to throw the mission to get rid of Leah (to save David, even though he slept during a mission and just didn't really put forth a good try in another mission) - Julie (enough said) - Trishelle getting jealous of Mike kissing Christena in front of her so she threatens to beat up him, Coral, and Mallory - Veronica and some of the comments she made, plus she seemed like the ringleader of the "get rid of Katie" movement - Mike verbally degrading Kendal for changing her mind about going into The Inferno - it was really disgusting, though it was also ironic because he rooted for Leah to win, though he tried to get rid of her by throwing the mission so that they could throw her in, and also he'd just gotten on Coral during the Katie-Julie inferno matchup for cheering for Katie. Sure it was a teammate thing, but Mike was dating/hooking up with Kendal and he tried to get rid of Leah, so Kendal winning would have been a win-win situation for him. - Abram freaked out on someone during an inferno matchup and acted like he was mocking Katie when he helped to throw the mission - The RR team getting mad at Kendal and making her feel guilty for winning the lifeshield when they wanted it to go to Timmy so they could throw Katie into The Inferno - CT just being rude to Leah during The Inferno. He threw a mission to get her in there because he wanted to get rid of her, but then he taunts her and tells her she needs to pick up the pace and all. Um, you don't want her to win, and she knows it, so why are you picking on her for not working as fast as Kendal? - CT and David also apparently tried to instigate the Julie-Coral drama when Julie challenged Coral to a wrestling match There was just a lot going on in that challenge. Bad sides were shown of these people, yet this is my second favorite challenge ever. The Inferno is also my favorite format of the different series challenges. There was so much drama, yet I also saw some nice things (Darrell and Leah's hookup, which turned into genuine care between them, Coral being supportive of Leah when she was going through an anxiety attack, Katie winning her infernos and coming through in the final mission, etc) and funny moments as well. The drama was a big part of the entertainment, though, of course. The Katie vs. Veronica thing is probably my favorite classic challenge beef.
I completely agree with you about David. What the did he do better than Leah? Nothing, ever. In fact, he was the worst competitor on the team. He was just lucky enough to have CT on his side. And I just finished the entire season after two weeks of watching and I have some extra comments to add. I think the friendship between Julie and Syrus was really nice. They seemed to look out for each other. Even when Julie was annoying as ****, Syrus had nice things to say about her. He just seemed like a really good dude during this one and he kept up with the younger guys well! I remember when this challenge first aired there were a ton of rumors about a CT/Coral hook-up. Watching this again, I totally see it. CT defended Coral so many times, especially when Julie was going into the Inferno. He made a big deal to say Coral was a better competitor. Usually he just groups all women in as sucky competitors, so I found this to be a tell-tale sign. She also always had something great to say about him. How funny is the fact that they were close on this one due to what happens btwn them in later challenges. Katie also became my hero on this challenge. When she and Julie were on the treadmills and Julie wanted Dave to turn them up, Katie got ******. "You think Coral's a ****h, you haven't even seen anything." Or whatever she said, omg hilarious. Then when she used Timmy's "deodorant". One of the funniest things to me was how Darrell could never pronounce Inferno correctly. He just kept adding a "u" in there. Obviously the other people notice because when it was a male Inferno day Timmy teased him and said something like "We have a problem because I want to go into the Inferno and Darrell wants to go into the Infueeeeerno." I miss Timmy :( I also really started to love Dave Mirra as a host toward the end. The first few missions he was kind of boring, but once the teams started obviously throwing missions, he showed some personality (telling CT "great job" when he obviously just ***ked up on purpose, saying "I think shady things are going down", and just generally seeming like he had some sympathy for Katie). I prefer him to TJ's rages on quitters. And honestly, the most awesome thing...the Kendall and Leah Inferno. Everyone flipped the **** out and start fighting. Mike was ****** at Kendall. CT was ****** at Leah ("STEP THE ***K UP LEAH" "SHUT THE ***K UP CT" omg lol especially after Leah spent the beginning of the episode talking about their great friendship). Veronica got mad at Mike for screaming at Kendall. Katie got mad at Veronica for existing. David(? i think) started streaking???? It was literally the most awesome thing I've ever seen and I can't believe I forgot it happened. And I completely take back saying that David wasn't obviously strung out. OMG. Especially during the flag mission where he just dropped them all and missed a few. His eyes were so red and you could tell he just wasn't "there". And then when he lost to Katie in the Inferno...something was not right again. Ok, that is the end of my essay on the Inferno. I never realized just how awesome it was. I don't even know what season to try to watch next because I don't think anything can live up.

It's the season everyone realized how much of a pitbull Derrick is, and Landon and MJ were both rookies and they were the powerhouses of their team. Plus, (with the exception of the Duel 2) its the last time sooooo many people competed: Mark Long, Adam Larson, David Burns, Jisela, Julie Stoffer, Montana, Ruthie, Syrus, Randy Barry, Jamie Murray & Jeremy Blossum. I know Mark and Ruthie are on the Duel 2, but that entire list is strong players except for Jisela and Montana. Plus it was the last real season where for at least a few minutes of EVERY single episode they showed the cast members partying either at the house or at the clubs, which I think is important because in these challenges friendships tend to equal alliances.

I have loved Derrick since Road Rules but that season made me really proud of him.

He was just lucky enough to have CT on his side...
Here's my essay responding to yours. I love Syrus. Though I was WAY, WAY more annoyed with Julie than Coral during this challenge (I thought Julie started most of the conflicts they got into because she was trying to make sure she wasn't overpowered or a weakling), I liked that Syrus was friends with both Julie and Coral. He was someone who could be kind of non-partisan and still be there for his friends. Syrus also seemed like the only true friend Beth had during Gauntlet 2. Most of the team appeared annoyed with her, but Syrus was nice to her. He seems to be a guy that gets along with most people. If I were a castmember, I'd definitely want to have a Syrus around on a challenge. He is chill most of the time and will befriend even the people who are unpopular if he likes them. Also he's from one of my favorite RW seasons, though I think I grew to like him more during challenges. I'm not sure if Coral hooked up with CT on The Inferno (or ever). I did read the rumors, and I think it could have been possible. But she was hooking up with Abram this challenge, I believe. They had already hooked up after The Gauntlet, I think, and if you pay attention to some of The Inferno episodes, they have a flirtation going on. In the first episode he slung her over his shoulder during arrivals when she jokingly asked for him to fall off the boat. He also was holding her feet on another episode while they were lounging around. She licked his sandwich when she made it, which is yucky to me, but she said she would only do that to him, and it would make sense if they were "swapping spit" that she would only do that to him (though I still think it's gross and not a great moment for her, but who knows what those two like?). And there was an extra clip on MTV back then when Coral was grilling some food and Abram was saying who put a woman in charge of grilling, and she got on him about that, all in playful fun. I don't know, though, perhaps they weren't exclusive then and maybe she could have had something with CT as well. Coral really had outperformed Julie and Leah at that point, so it made since for CT to say that. I think he was a little nicer back then than he was on later challenges. It seems he's gotten progressively worse in a way. That seems to have happened to several people... I felt so bad for Katie during the challenge. I became more of a fan of her's during this challenge. I didn't watch her on her RR season, and didn't get to know her enough during The Gauntlet. The Katie vs. Julie inferno was really good to me because I felt Julie got all cocky and though she'd win, but Katie yelled at her about her comments, and of course it's great she beat her because RR's plan failed. I also liked Dave Mirra's little comments about something shady happening. I agree he wasn't the best at first, but I read somewhere he'd gotten into an accident a little bit before that challenge and was recuperating from that. He continued his little comments in Inferno 2 and from what I can remember, it was my favorite hosting job. I love how he notices shady stuff and starts laughing at it. He also joked around with the cast some. I really wish he would have done I3 - just wasn't the same without him. I also liked Jonny Moseley as well. Jonny Moseley, Dave Mirra, and Mark and Eric > TJ Lavin, IMO. The Kendal vs. Leah inferno - I agree with you, it really was something. One of my favorite challenge episodes ever. It was bonkers! I think they were out there doing that inferno for five hours (!), so I guess people were tired and drunk and ready to get crazy. To add to what you said, when Veronica got mad at Mike, he made some remark to her about worrying about her makeup, and Veronica said "no one wears more makeup than your girl Katie," and that's when Katie flipped out on her. Yes, it was David who streaked. Then you had Coral who was trying to keep Leah calm and collected so that she could do well, and you had Leah getting mad at Darrell for not doing anything when CT was talking rudely to her, then Darrell tells her she's a grown woman and he can't let himself get riled up at CT because he will want to fight him (since he's a boxer). Kendal was making jokes about Mike reminding her of a brick because she wanted to lay him. And in the unseen clips during the reunion, Abram got super mad and called someone a b**** for some reason, but we didn't see who or figure out why. David really was something else on that challenge. He just saw it as a free vacation. He really wasn't a bad competitor - he had potential, as V1 said, but he was just lazing around and not really trying. I didn't think about him being on any substances - don't know anything about him to be able to determine that. I do know Kendal said that the guys stayed up really late watching the Red Sox game one night and they were tired. I think that was before the selling mission, in which David grabs silly items against the team's wishes for them to sell, then proceeds to take a chair and fall asleep. I was mad at him for that as well. I think he was a better competitor than Leah (when he really tried he did well), but by falling asleep in one mission and not really caring during that one mission where they had to rappell down that rock wall (or whatever it was) and get flags, he did worse than her in some missions and really didn't deserve to have a mission thrown to save him over her, IMO. If CT hadn't been so tight with him, I don't think they would have done that. I could see if David had a phobia of something and it caused him to do badly or not try, or if he really did give it a good try and just failed. You can't really help those situations. But to not try because you want to sleep and just don't care. It made him a bad teammate. I thought that was worse than Katie not doing well. Darrell is funny with his mispronunciations of certain words sometimes. And he kept wearing a wig and funky teeth, which kept up for another challenge, too, I think. I believe it was revealed he was making fun of Adam from RW Paris (though he doesn't have bad teeth!). I loved that challenge. After that one, I feel the challenges, though still entertaining, when on a downward slope for me for each installment until after The Duel - I preferred the next couple of challenges after that better, but still not like the challenges from the first one - The Inferno. I don't know what all you've watched, but I would recommend Battle of the Seasons and Battle of the Sexes next. Watching Battle of the Season first would be interesting, considering Emily claimed she was pushed into an alliance to get rid of Veronica and Yes, yet she lobbies to get rid of Veronica the very next challenge. Battle of the Seasons is my number one challenge. Belou vs. Holly and Chadwick is entertaining as well. Also the toga party, people getting upset at Stephen, Holly getting mad at Theo during Sidekick Showdown, Timmy peeing on that ice car, Norm vs. Beth (remember he called her "Osama Beth Laden?" I kept wondering what she did that would elicit that nickname from him), and just the dynamic between the partners.
Here's my essay responding to yours.
Re Beth: there is a difference between friendships and alliances. BMP had no interest in showing that Beth was (and is) friends with several of the G2 cast. Outside to the challenge, Beth had (and continues to have) a good relationship with Katie, Robin, Adam L, Adam K, Brad, Aneesa, Julie, Mark, Alton, Cameran, Ibis, Jillian, Jodi, Kina, Randi and Susie. Re Norman: The guy came to the challenge full of jealousy because Beth had just recently sold a screenplay for six figures and he couldn't get anyone in LA to pay attention to him. It is the pathetic individual who compares Beth to Osamma bin Laden after so many families and the nation suffered so much on 9/11. In past centuries, a real duel would have resulted from such an insult. The guy is a moron. You are right about Syrus. He is a good guy who gets along with everyone. He and Beth have been friends for many years, back to the Boston season. FYI, he just shot a national commercial with Evelyn that will be appearing soon. I had not seen him for well over a year, but he was at Beth's wedding and appeared to be back in shape ready to do at least one more challenge. He'd like another shot at Derrick. When one writes comments like the two lengthy ones above, moderators may feel the need to actually grade essays. Short and to the point is preferable -- especially to Lord Bacchus who is easily distracted by Zeus.
Yeah, I know Beth has been said to be friends with some of the other people on that challenge, but Syrus just seemed more genuine and not afraid to show it during a challenge or at least didn't make fun of her or shun her for the purpose of storyline on a challenge. He just seemed more of a true friend to me. I think Norm is OK from what I've seen of him, but I agree that was very soon to use that reference, and I would take offense to being compared to a terrorist as well. Wasn't necessary to do and so far away and removed from anything she'd did, since from what was shown it seems their issue was about getting a movie produced or something like that. Sorry our posts were long, but we just re-watched that challenge and had a lot to say.
FYI, he just shot a national commercial with Evelyn that will be appearing soon.
I love Evelyn! I wonder what the commercial was for. Speaking of Evelyn, did someone say she was going to do a post-reunion Island interview for this site? Has she done that yet?

I liked Diem in Fresh Meat, even if she got upset when Tina picked her to go into the Exile. I really liked her with Derrick, and I thought she was really pretty. In the Duel, she was a little bit much but I still liked her. Although her and CT just seemed really... strange? She was still pretty cause I liked how at the end she was comfortable with herself. But in G3, I didn't like her at all. She barely played a role in the team. All she seemed to be was CTs girlfriend rather then a strong asset to the team. And she wasn't very attractive in that show. Maybe cause her bad personality stood out more then her looks. But if she isn't like how she was in G3, I might like her again. And I don't think it is that bad when she talks about her cancer a lot because, I mean, come on. It's pretty big to beat cancer. But I don't like it if she were to use that to get further in the game.
