"To whom... "
It's common knowledge within the RW/RR family. I've had lengthy conversations with BMP about the contract clauses regarding responsibility for injuries and the nature of due diligence required to invoke what I call the "Sorry you're a quadriplegic, but it's not our problem" clause .

Good point, but fortunately I've only represented injured cast members and not dead ones.
I'm watching The Inferno III and I noticed that Susie hit Ace, allegedly on the face and like 3 times. Is that actually what hapenned? Anyone know why she wasn't sent home?
Susie claimed that she acted in self defense because Ace "scared her". *rolls eyes* Because Ace is so intimidating and scary. Had she been sent home that would have (somewhat) redeemed that terrible challenge for me but alas, that was not the case.
Plus I think if Ace had pushed for her to leave we might have seen something take place, but I doubt Ace would ever think about sending her home. He's a gentleman like that and doesn't seem like the type of guy who would send a girl home for hitting him.

Ace a gentlemen? I've heard otherwise....
"Gentleman" is not a word I've heard associated with Ace by any women I know in the RW/RR family. I've never had a bad experience with him personally, and was happy to recommend him for Surreal Life a few years ago.
Sarah did? according to who?
According to Sarah herself. She used to write about the episodes and her challenge experience on her website (I don't remember the name or address).
As for Ace, maybe he is a nice guy except when he is trying to have or is having a relationship/sexual experience with them. I don't know him personally, but it seems there are two sides of him that people who have encountered him report - really sweet or a little sleazy. I wonder if Mallory really doesn't accept his phone calls? He has joked a few times about her not having the time of the day for him since she's become a successful model. I know they don't date anymore, but I would think they could be friends.
Anyway, I don't think he would have wanted to send Susie home, either. He apologized and even washed her clothes from that pool incident with Abram.
Who exactly has said all this about Ace? I'm just curious.
I know he does the Girls Gone Wild parties (LOL) and I remember reading that Shauvon drunkenly tried to hook up with him at the RW Awards but other than that I haven't heard anything.

To what "this" do you refer? We have the quote feature here for a reason, Jayden.
Well, I've read or heard a couple of things from the cast members on the shows and from interviews, in terms of Ace being a really nice, sweet, likeable guy. In terms of him not being a gentlemen, it's just from a couple of women or their friends who have said they've had encounters with him at one of his bar or in the city he lives in. You know, take it with a grain of salt type of thing. But with others hearing the same things about him, most likely with different sources, you start to wonder. I would guess it's just a little obnoxious drunken behavior from him at times during those encounters, but I wasn't there and wouldn't know.
Based on what I have seen on him from the shows, he seems like a sweet, sensitive guy who likes to have fun and wants everyone to like him. So that's what I pretty much think of him or go by, not having met him.
To what "this" do you refer? We have the quote feature here for a reason, Jayden.
There wasn't a specific statement to quote. A number of people have made comments on the last page of this thread about females saying Ace is not a gentlemen, I was asking who said these things. :)

Thanks, I just don't understand how BMP applies the rule that people can't get physical with each other on these shows. Clearly they're not being consistent at all in the way they apply this rule. When Ayanna got kicked for hitting that guy in Road Rules, the guy wanted her to stay and they still kicked her. When Steven hit Shane, Shane wanted him to stay and they still kicked Steve. I don't know it's just so confussing. I honestly don't understand why not even the posibility of sending Susie home was mentioned at all.

There is a backstory for each of those incidents you mention, but the only one I know all the details of is the one involving Susie. In that case, production was largely to blame for what happened. You do not intrude into the private space of a married woman when she is asleep. Period. Never. Further, BMP would have lost more cast members than Susie if she had left the show.

I can understand that, however, I would have to see the specific language of the no violence clause. Something tells me that Susie did violate that clause when she hit Ace, which is why it surprises me that sending her home was not even mentioned. As for her being married I recalled when she talked about Beth, and some others on an after show and these castmembers were all kick to respond by saying that she had hooked up with a guy while on a challenge so I guess if she doesn't respect her husband so much she shouldn't be protected under the "married woman umbrella". Idk, I wish I could see the language of that contract to see if it an exception is made when someone feels that their privacy has been intruded.
As for other cast members leaving if Susie had been sent home, wouldn't they have lost their appearence fee if they had done so? I would imagine that BMP has some sort of provision for this on the contract each cast member has to sign.

Danny, I understand your questioning about Susie being sent home. I do not however have any idea why you speak of her marriage? Yes V made a comment as to her being married, but that is it. We have no idea what her marriage is like and therefore no grounds to speak on it.

Sorry I was simply quoting Beth, Ibis, Kina and others on that matter. The context in which I quote their remarks regarding Susie's marriage was explained in my message and it was solely in response to what appeared to be a justification of the situation based on the fact that she is married.

There probably is more that I do not know about this situation, but from your response I have 2 problems with what went down and I really don't care if I get ridiculed for it:
1. The way you describe this situation as if it Susie was allowed to hit Ace because she invaded her private space. The fact that Susie may have been provoked doesn't give her any more right to hit Ace than anyone else. There should be no " well you should have known not to do this" or "you just don't do this". Regardless, Susie took the confrontation to the next level and went physical. And this is not specific to Susie's case, but just in general using Susie as an example. There are hundreds of things that you just don't do, ever, like for example use the "N word". Davis used it on Denver, but had Tyrie (or Stephen I don't remember which one) hit him, they would have been kicked off the show. Bottom line, hitting someone should be considered equal regardless of situation.
2. When you say that BMP would have had to deal with people leaving it Susie's protest, it makes me think that any situation can be remedied if people are behind it. Could Tina have stayed on the Duel if everyone threatened to quit with her? Although I know there was more background to the story, why was the decision even reconsidered for Puck on BOTS 1? The fact that cast member essentially can dictate whether one leaves is incredible to me.
Again, this is strictly a reaction to your justification of why Susie stayed and not an attack on your thoughts personally. V1, if you have any more info or something to help make this clearer, that would be great.

My turn.. The word is intent. Had Tyrie hit Davis, it would have been with intent to harm him. Davis was taunting Tyrie to hit him so that he could get him out of the house.
Susie did not intend to harm Ace. She was fast asleep when "the boy's" pulled their prank. Her gut reaction was to lash out. She did not strike anyone with malice but in self defense. All the girls who were sleeping in the room at the time were equally shocked.

I remember the fight between Davis and Tyrie from Denver.
For the life of me I cannot remember what challenge this incident with Susie and Ace took place? Could someone please refresh my memory? I am rewatching all of the old challenges, well mostly the final missions and reunions. I would like to watch this again, to see what everyone is talking about, thanks.

I understand the intent makes a huge difference, but at the same time it didn't seem as if what the guys were doing was anything dangerous. They didn't have anything that could be perceived as a weapon as I remember and they didn't seem to be doing anything that could be deemed threatening in the least. Maybe I need to watch it again, but I don't really buy that Susie felt threatened.

This is why I think that we would have to see the specific language contained in the no violence clause. To affirm that the clause excludes those instances in which the cast members mean no physical harm when using physical force is being a little speculative IMHO. Even if that was the case, in this upcoming challenge,
one cast member allegedly hits another and this other cast members lashed out in self defense and was allegedly kicked out too.
PS I was extremely careful in the way I worded the reference to the incident in the upcoming challenge just so it is not edited out for being considered a spoiler. I just feel that it further illustrates that point I am trying to make.

I don't buy that she was threatened either. I watched that a few weeks ago and the guys were simply pulling a prank. To me, she was simply mortified that they wouldn't let her sleep and lost it. I don't justify them though but I don't really see the threat that they pose by doing what they were doing.
