The reason I feel it's one of the three is because...
1. New York: Season one was in New York so why not go back for Season thirty-one.
2. Miami: Chicago is known as the windy city so why not go to Miami where the drama will be "hot".
3. Atlanta: It's been the most requested city that hasn't been filmed yet.
I really hope they capitalize on the location. Atlanta would be perfect. All 3 choices are great but I believe Atlanta is the greatest choice overall with all of the popularity around the city now. I'm also hoping that if it were ever to go back to new York, keep it without a twist. Yes this season has a great thing going with the skeletons, but tbh this cast would have been just as good without a twist because of their diverse personalities and stories. If it's in Atlanta, at least 2 or 3 of the roommates HAVE to be black. It's just a must.

I hope whenever they do the last season, they'll bill it as such from Day One and return to NYC. But that'll be the fourth time in NYC including Brooklyn.

I know or the cast will have the worst time there. All the good nightlife areas are the urban ones.
Hi I'm a new memeber, but a long time silent lurker.
I agree about Atlanta though. I've lived here since I was born and as much as I would love having them film a season here, I'm not sure how much the cast would love the nightlife here. In my experience, the places here are very hit or miss.

I've never been to Atlanta but the one girl I know from there parties hard and posts a lot of photos on facebook of her getting bottle service at Atlanta clubs so it looks fun

Yesssss I agree!
It works for shows that are a bit staged like RHOA, LHHA, but with the RW and how locals behave. I don't think its the place. I live here and I wouldn't recommend it.

I disagree. When Bad Girls Club was filming there they went to Club Opera, Mansion Elan, and I think Magic City. The cast will just need more than one token black guy for the clubs in Atlanta.
I think I great choice would be Bangkok. Crazy wild city, safe, cheap and and maybe these current twists would fit better with an international location.

I was in Atlanta last night and hit up a few ratchet locations. lol

They could frequent all the spots on Peters St. / Castleberry Hill if they don't wanna get too ratchet lol
I was asked early today about past ratings. For those who have some vague memory of 2004, here is why I ***** about the present ratings:
"The Real World: San Diego" was the top-rated series on basic cable among viewers 12 to 34 in 2004, seen by about 3.7 million viewers per episode." (Austin-American Statesman)
The next time someone says "Our ratings are better than anything else on MTV," remind them of Catfish' present ratings and of that RW used to be when it really was about 7 strangers...
Not to mention that just from the livestreams I watch every Tuesday, it's apparent to me that they promote the HELL out of Catfish. Meanwhile, I've yet to hear about any commercials or reruns for The Challenge.
I think next season should be the original format but with REAL people. The reason why these past few seasons failed was becuase the people weren't real. They were there to be on tv or be on The Challenge.
Next season they should cast 7 or 8 people that speak to the issues going in the world right now.
A strong black male with beliefs and who has went through things or still is. Black men are being killed daily and many are missing opportunities to change their lives. This could help one of them.
A gay male. We get very few and the ones we get are soooo lame. We need someone outspoken and looking for love because its hard being gay and finding love. I and many others would know. Someone who is not wanting to hide anymore and experience life.
Transgender. Is still talked about and still misunderstood. We got Kaitlyn but she was really whatever. And weird. Someone confident who knows who they are. Learn about her dating lifestyle and how men (if she is straight) deal with this, bring her family in to get their opinion, etc.
An African American women but maybe like a plus size one with insecurities. Show a different side to black women than this ratchet, twerk, long brazilian weave we see.
An asian male. We have never seen this which is sad because I've learned there are some really unique and cool asian males. If they got the right one he would be a fan favorite for sure!
That's five cast members right there. Add a white guy in but someone on the lines of lines of Dustin or someone with a past.
Maybe some crazy middle eastern women. You don't get that everyday on tv. Even a white women will do.
Then add a 4th guy or girl. Maybe both. It could be anyone. Someone hispanic like a female. Or even another white guy. Just REAL people is the point.
Put them in a cool location. I think with a cast like this Dallas would be great. Real World: Dallas. And see what happens. I think the drama would be crazy and people would watch IMO. And put them in a house. Not a loft!
The ratings are so bad because it's impossible to watch the episodes. They air twice, once for their premiere and once before the next episode. I missed the Bruno skeleton episode and they aren't adding it to their site until March 20. In what world is it an intelligent decision to add episodes a month after they air?
Do they really think that the Real World will get anyway near 3 million? I mean even the stockholders should be a little realistic. This can't be done in one season. Looking at the past and compare your current product when the show had their gloriest days seems to me like an old football player who's out of shape but was the best in a period of time to still be looking at himself as the best right now when other players have emerged and surpassed him. Kind of an ignorant thinking. They should forget their past and copy what other networks did that are better now.

The only thing that counts in the ratings are the original broadcast and same day + next 24 hrs of DVR viewing. Viewing at any other time isn't counted.
One can, and probably should argue that airing the show multiple times during the week would build anticipation for the next new episode but that would have no affect on ratings. MTV may have to pay too high a fee to BMP for each additional time they air the show. That is the only thing I can think of contractually that would keep them from airing it during the week.
Anyone think it's about time for The Real World to go back out of the country? The last season to be filmed somewhere outside the US was Cancun and that was 6 years ago... Maybe funding isn't as well anymore, maybe that's why they're repeating cities?
Still not sure why they haven't done ATL yet since they have done BGC in Atlanta in 2013. They did BGC Chicago last year and right after they did Skeletons in Chicago.
St. Louis is a cute place, maybe Toronto? A Canadian season with a few Canadian cast members would be dope lol.

No, no realistic person expects anything new 3 million immediately, but they do expect a roadmap of how to improve ratings for existing shows or how to replace them with shows where the research says there will be better ratings. This is really a battle among three giants: Universal/NBC, Viacom, and Disney/ABC. CBS just happily keeps winning the major network competition and they are delighted with that.
If stockholders were realistic, they would only conservatively invest in USG bonds and AAA rated corporate bonds. They are risk takers by nature, however, and when they get burned they tend to blame bad management at the companies in which they may have unwisely invested.
As for copying other networks, you are seeing some of that. USA has done well with its scripted programming and Bravo is exploring ways to capture some of that market with programs like "Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce" and fake reality programs like "Millionaire Matchmaker," "Southern Charm" and "Below Decks" which are "scripted" in all but dialogue -- and, yes, even some dialogue.

Not even surprised. Survivior is doing really well and turning out quality seasons consistently nowadays. Amazing Race and Big Brother too(Although that last one has turned to crap IMO.)

greed. Missouri gets no love.
St. Loius would be cool.

It doesn't deserve it... Though St Louis and Kansas City are worthwhile cities. I prefer KC.
Episode 11 ratings, they keep doing above average on on the 18-34 demographic:

V1man, I believe Pink Rose accidently skipped a word. She was saying that she WASN'T attacking you. That's how I read it anyways.
And you are correct. PMs are great way to gain understanding.
