Warner has done a lot of tax-off with movies already filmed.
This would end up as a tax write-off for sure. This needs to be on MTV's schedule next week.
i'd actually love to see the meltdowns online if they just never aired all stars 4
I never actually thought that was a realistic option until now. Dude, WB and David Zazlav suck. He's like a hedge fund manager type. If they think they can save a penny shuttering the franchise, they will not hesitate.
I know it's just terrible news. From what I've read about her life it's been pretty tough between a POS man who was hard to live with and then now this? Poor Ayana she seems to have been thru it. But she is strong she'll get thru this.

Didn't she also lose a student right before AS4? Which I think contributed to some of her emotions this season and probably part of the reason they want to protect her with the edit.
Merger news is brand new this week and could happen any day now.
A merger would take months, if not a year or more, to actually complete. Not just to finalize any deal between the companies, but the process to get government approval takes a while -- it's not just the US either, they have to get approval from Europe, Brazil, and other regions/countries that those companies operate.
Warnermedia and Discovery announced their meger in May 2021 and didn't close it until in April 2022. The Comcast-NBC meger took even longer: announced in December 2009 and wasn't completed until January 2011. Not quite a merger but still shows how the process of combining assets takes a while, the acquision of 21st Century Fox by Discovery took from December 2017 to March 2019 to finalized. And while the CBS-Viacom merger was relatively short from official announcement to closure, August 2019 to December 2019, the whole process was longer as the talks started in January 2018.
Granted, once the initial merger is announced/approved by stakeholders, the two companies can start to discuss business plans, but anything like a tax write-off would have to wait until it's a single company to benefit fully. Also to note, WB Discovery may end up canceling The Challenge or any number of shows, who knows, but the fact it's a reality show might save it since internal convos suggest WBD is interested in the reality aspects of Paramount, including programs that could lean more toward E! in content.
tldr; mergers typically take a while and a WBD merger with Paramount shouldn't impact AS4 (or any Paramount content) from coming out as long as the release was planned in at least the next 6 months.
It won't happen because production isn't as intelligent as me but after the elimination TJ should give Cara her accolades as an All-Star. Then through a voiceover tell people to watch her on All-Stars 4 in January and immediately cut to a teaser with Cara cheering after some kind of win, then to her fight with Flora, a scene with Laurel, then to her crying about how hard the game has gotten since she's been gone.
are their financial reasons if WBD merges with Paramount they wouldn't air All Stars 4?

Throwback to when Paramount dropped like 4 shows and removed them after 1 week of being on the app
LOL

Noooo
That's awful! She is so strong and I know she'll beat the hell out of it. My heartbreaks for her and the kids.
