I don't understand why Syrus was brought in to replace Tony, but Genesis wasn't brought in to replace Janelle.

Not saying that I agree with it, but I believe it's because Janelle left before she went into an elimination and therefore the numbers were where they were supposed to be at that point in the game. Tony left before the daily, which meant that the numbers were uneven and Syrus needed to be brought in to correct that. I've heard it on several podcasts/YouTube videos, and I agree, that Genesis should have been brought in to compete againt Tina in the elimination to fight for a spot in the game. Even if she didn't win, it would hav been nice to see her for a second.

Ace saying to Cara, "God you're a bad b*t*h" is all I needed to make this day great. This was also another sort of puzzle that she did well in.

I was definitely happy for Adam and Averey.

Kefla had my [dying when he noted the 3 brothers being on the bottom in dominoes when in Africa!

Is anyone here from Brazil? There's rumors that Episode 4 got released there!

Wow! What a great episode! I didn't get bored and touch my phone once. An OG centered episode dominated? No shock. I still don't get the Ayanna hate. Kam looked like an entitled brat this episode. Mad at Cara for throwing a vote that didn't matter? I loved the Rachel and Ayanna friendship. Jasmine looks like a bobble head in her confessionals. Why did Rachel steal Tina's star?! And did Tina not care?! I needed this explained better. Oh and KING KEFLA! And props to Syrus for embracing his loss for once and not acting like he's "coming back better than ever".

Great episode.

  • I love Veronica....but she either needs to get back in shape or production needs to drop her.
  • Ayanna is just a more messy version of Kam.  Ayanna at least has a fun personality to watch.  Kam has been annoying on every season she has been on.
  • I have only liked Cara in Free Agents/Bloodlines.  This season I am almost rooting for her.
  • The OG women built and carried this show for years..... but they simply cannot compete at the same level as the modern All Stars.
  • Season 5 may still be a good product...... but I may have to skip it.
  • OG men like Adam, Kefla and Steve are bringing the entertainment and seem to be able to back it up in dailies.
  • This episode was typical Kam entitlement. She thought everything was about her and her plan and it just wasn't. It was funny when she had a confessional saying "these people I don't even know had my back and Cara didn't" as if they did it for her as opposed to it being convenient for their games. No one gives a **** about your plan. The entitlement was typical from her, but the delusion wasn't because she's smart most of the time.

Jasmine has been CARRYING these episodes. I am SO PROUD OF HER.

They should've made it so that Rachel could have two stars after winning the elimination. That would make it way more fair than just getting it stolen and then having zero stars. This is still ten times better than the skull format, though.

Ayanna is a pest, but she is sooo entertaining. This was the perfect amount of Ayanna for me. Maybe I could've used one or two more episodes.

I'LL MISS TONYYYYY. Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

It's funny that Syrus was Tony's replacement because that is a massive downgrade. A "replacement" should be up to par. At least he was gone right away so we could get back to the game.

Kefla is so funny AND likable. He's proving that he deserves a callback without having to do extra performative shit (ex: Amanda or Bed Wetter Kailah) because that's how an OG does it!

I've been on the fence with Rachel on this season. Now that she's working with Cara, I may have to root for her! It helps that she's a lesbian. And she's besties with Tina too, it's becoming very hard not to root for her. I forgot why I even disliked her in the first place... maybe she had a shady confessional about Julie on The Inferno 2 and then I just decided that I don't like her. I have no idea why I didn't like her.

Queen Flora keeping up with Leroy??? LEGEND!

Why did Tony leave? It's been so long I forget.

I don't understand why Syrus was brought in to replace Tony, but Genesis wasn't brought in to replace Janelle.

It's absolutely because Janelle was already in elim but Tony wasn't. It's easy to let someone in elim walk and the numbers be fine (see also Melinda, Arissa) but not the other way around (see Beth after Tina/Jemmye leave back-to-back).

I love Kam, she's pretty much my fav new school challenger by a decent margin, but her getting upset at Cara when the vote still worked out for Kam's plan is a little wild. I'd understad if Cara voted first, which could have triggered more people to not vote Rachel, but she waited to the end when her vote didn't matter.

Cara essentially burning her vote so she wouldn't have her star targeted. Kam has voted in friends (Marie on Vendettas) to save herself. It's not that different a game move lbr.

Still do love seeing Kam in power.

Kam's confessional about Rachel playing a "scared game" was so dumb knowing that she whines every time someone does something that's not in her best interest. Do you want people to avoid playing "scared games" or do you want people to play every step of your game? Pick one????? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!!!

Kefla is a joy. Adam and Averey are cute. Flora and Tina are hilarious. Ayanna got a pretty good edit honestly. It was sweet of Laurel to comfort Nicole so much, but she needs better life instincts because you know that's not going to lead to good things for her down the road.

Is Ace the sweetest guy to have been on the challenge?

Veronica with the line "we're not here on vacation" was kind on the nose considering the AS5 rumors.

I get that Kam's the main character and driving the politics in the house but she's DOMINATING the screentime right now. Wish it was a bit more balanced.

Honestly, I get both Kam and Cara's side. Kam was looking for her #1 girl to be ride or die but Cara was trying to protect her star. It just boils down to having different interests and presumably not communicating to each other where their heads were at prior to nominations.

On another note, I do think Rachel should have stolen Cara's star. I know they made a deal to protect each other, but honestly trying so hard to hold onto stars so early in the game is a wasted effort anyways. But if she wants to play that way, she'd have better odds of keeping her star if the other options were both Veronica AND Tina.

Right now, I see the house dynamics as Kamroy's side vs The mean girls side. The smarter players are sitting in the middle, not showing their hands, and giving one or two players just enough subtle support to not be collateral damage. It's kinda of crazy how some of these OGs let Kam come into the house and start running things. She's not even really politicking. She is just stating what she wants and people are giving it to her.

Okay but why is Rachel telling Tina she made herself look dumb next week and Tina stressed tf out  x_x

Kefla is a joy. Adam and Averey are cute. Flora and Tina are hilarious. Ayanna got a pretty good edit honestly. It was sweet of Laurel to comfort Nicole so much, but she needs better life instincts because you know that's not going to lead to good things for her down the road.

Veronica with the line "we're not here on vacation" was kind on the nose considering the *** rumors.

    wait what rumors?

It was stupid Rachel had to steal a star.

    - Ayanna made her mark this season.

    - Tina can recap every episode I ******* love her lmao.

    - Nicole has been performing better than expected in these really mental dailies.

-I would expect Kam to go toe to toe more with Ayanna but I think the energy is there but she's definitely calmer now.

    - Jasmine has been fun y'all do too much on her.

    - Kefla was the MVP for me right after Ayanna . I really hope this isn't the last time we see him.

-Kefla has the strength but all that energy he was wasting could've tripped him up with someone stronger. Glad he got to go in the sand for the first time.

    - Rachel's strategy was smart.

-Syrus funny asl for that exit confessional lmao.

    - Would it be possible to steal your star and give it back to yourself? Rachel could've did that but I assume no.

Wow! What a great episode! I didn't get bored and touch my phone once. An OG centered episode dominated? No shock. I still don't get the Ayanna hate. Kam annoys me all of the time with how she thinks people should just do what she wants them to do. I do understand her being bothered by Cara since they've worked together for awhile, but the vote ultimately didn't matter so let it go.

I'm pretty sure Rachel stole Tina's star because of the deal with Cara. That also explains that Cara didn't really throw her vote; she had agreed to not vote Rachel in, and Rachel agreed not to take Cara's star. So, that deal worked out for Cara in one way, but now she's seemingly upset Kam so it backfired in another way.

So weird that we didn't see any scenes with Ayanna/Veronica or any interaction.  Kind of a lost potential.

Speaking of Veronica, girl is so lucky that she didn't get voted in.  Imagine if they put her against Ayanna or Rachel.  That would be a disaster

Rooting for all the old school people.

another note, I do think Rachel should have stolen Cara's star. I know they made a deal to protect each other, but honestly trying so hard to hold onto stars so early in the game is a wasted effort anyways. But if she wants to play that way, she'd have better odds of keeping her star if the other options were both Veronica AND Tina.

Yeah I don't see it as Rachel (and Cara for that matter) played scared as much as they're playing too defensive. "Target": isn't even the right word to use for the people with stars because people aren't necessarily throwing them into elimination; anyone who wins any elimination can steal a star, so unless you win every daily your star is always vulnerable. It's more about being in the right position toward the end of the game.

Right now, I see the house dynamics as Kamroy's side vs The mean girls side. The smarter players are sitting in the middle, not showing their hands, and giving one or two players just enough subtle support to not be collateral damage. All of this.

Kefla must have divorce or baby mama drama because every parallel he was making was to some messy romantic situation lmao. So happy he is on this season. I forget how he does, and I hope he's in for awhile.

Kam can honestly rot in hell . I usually try not to publicly bash her , but Kam literally always has a problem with the other strong black women. It doesn't make any sense.

The more I think about, Kam wanting Cara to vote Rachel in so she can BEAT Ayanna and thus get to steal a star means Kam was basically asking Cara to give up her star. How is that Kam having Cara's back? She can GTFO!

Jasmine has been fun y'all do too much on her.

    YES!!!!!
