Sorry. I should have been more specific in saying - with a choice between the remaining chefs on All Stars, Mike and Richard, the best chef won. :D
wwwwhat I agree with you the after show seem all over the place and was Mike drunk as well? sure looked like he was. I would of love to see Jenn in there.

It was the worst aftershow yet.
As for Mike, he always seems drunk, heh.
I have a question- Padma said when Richard and Mike were picking their team mates, "15 chefs, 15 plates" or something like that. But there were 16 players eliminated before the final. So who was missing?

Here's what I'm getting from the picture from left to right:
Dale T, Fabio (with Angelo and Tre behind him), Tiffany (with Antonia behind her), Casey, Stephen, Jen, Carla, Tiffani, Jamie, Marcel, Elia, and Spike. By process of elimination that would mean that the other Dale from Season 3 is the one not present.
I just realized that that aftershow last week was not the actual reunion show (which is tonight.)
I think I'm going to give Top Chef Masters another shot. Supposedly it is going to follow the regular Top Chef format this year.

I'm watching specifically for Curtis Stone ;)
I missed something, why is Hughnibrow back on Masters?
Another chef dropped out because of an emergency so they brought him back being, "it was such a tough decision" to let him go in the first place.
That dude definitely needs a brow-vevntion!

I forgot to mention that my friend was one of the Biggest Loser nutritionists on this past Top Chef Masters episode. Here she is being the best clapper ever welcoming the chefs into Whole Foods. :D

Yeah! She wasn't sure if they were going to cut everything with them or not. They did a lot more in Whole Food because they were running around with the chefs to help pick out foods, like they showed the trainers doing, but they kept a good amount in the kitchen. Which means we still get to tease her!
I think my favorite part of the episode tonight was that was one chef was berated for not flavoring his dishes as individual entities (as they are judged as such) whilst another was knocked for having two dishes that didn't pair well together.
Oh, the contradiction that is Top Chef Masters.
Not sure if anyone's noticed (I just did myself), but Spike from season 4 is going to be on the Super Chef season of The Next Iron Chef that premieres on Sunday at 9pm on the Food Network. He's going up against some ****** chefs.

I'll be watching!
Just reminding everyone that Top Chef Season 9 starts tonight!
And I was really disappointed that Spike was the first chef to go on The Next Iron Chef. I wanted him to do well, but I guess going up against the best probably would have cost him the victory anyway.

****, you know as soon as I clicked on this link I was like "Oh yeah, The Next Iron Chef just started! I'll have to catch that OnDemand."
WAY TO GO FAB YOU SCREWED IT UP

LOL. I saw that one coming as soon as I saw the first ad. Spike is not a refined cuisine kind of chef from what I can tell and that show is all about that.
I will be watching Top Chef instead of that other show I think. Not sure with the news this last week I am ready to jump back into BMP's camp so I'll wait until it is a rerun that doesn't count toward ratings if at all.
Oh no. Sorry. If I were in any right state of mind I would have put spoiler tags around that. I also stupidly figured that since it's Wednesday and the show came on Sunday, you'd have seen it by now. That's what happens when one gets 2 hours of sleep.

No worries. I was thinking of watching The Sixth Sense this afternoon, anyway - as I have not seen it.
There is nothing about the movie you want to tell me before hand, is there?

I see dead people.
I liked the idea of how they are competing in but it got a little mind-numbing halfway through. Obviously there will at some point this season be a "design a Healthy Choice meal" challenge.
This was a great change up as far as I am concerned, although I will agree with FishHooks in that once the scope was understood, it was a bit daunting being there were so many damn chefs competing and still competing.
That said, I like the idea of earning your way on the show. The brutal "pack your knives and go" moments were earned by abject failure and this season has raised the bar. No more Cheetos and if you can't butcher the meat you cook, you are not a chef (although maybe you are a good cook, but this show is not Top Cook.) If you don't get the main course on the plate, gone. No jacket for you!
I have high hopes and think this is going to be fun.
