Sorry, but Marquess of Queensberry Rules do not apply to bench clearing brawls in baseball.
Well that hardly seems fair. I really cant wait for opening day.
I still say that this wild car expansion is an awful idea and that this "winning the division" crap is a dumb argument.

They lost to a community college team. Ouch!
There is no way to spin this and it is quite embarrassing. They lost to a community college team. Ouch!
They let them use one of their pitchers. It just means that guy is a stud.
They let them use one of their pitchers. It just means that guy is a stud.
Haha. That must mean the Orioles roster is filled with studs as Wada has never pitched in an MLB game, is 31 and today was left off the Orioles 25 man roster. :D
Game is tied! All is not lost Sox!
Nice duel between Verlander and Lester. Jackson looked much better with his new swing. I hope that's a sign of good things to come because we need a lot out of him in the leadoff spot.
No shame in losing a close duel against arguably the best team in the AL!
Damn, Beckett got shellacked today! The Tigs are firing on all cylinders.
Lol too funny... shellack was the word I was going to come on here and use. Ah well no reason to panic until we hit 0-6 again. At some point we'll have to play against bad teams and maybe win :D

I think Bard is going to be pulled from the starting rotation and back into the pen. While I see him as a good future top of the rotation type guy, right now we need someone to come into the game and get three outs - 4 or 5 times a week. There is no one else unless we make a trade. Bard can hit 101 plus on the gun and is really our only near term option. The first time since 1966.

It is good the Sox got the monkey off their back tonight. They are ahead of last year's pace and have rallied in 3 of the 4 games they have played in the 9th inning. That shows heart and the pitching came through vs. Toronto. Now I'm going to pick a bone with the schedulers... The Sox start the season vs. the improved AL Central Champ - away. Get a minor respite in Toronto and then go to face the AL Wild Card Team, the AL Champ and then the AL East Champ. Basically all the best teams in the AL minus the Angels out of the gate. I think there is a conspiracy via MLB HQ to raise the suicide rate in Boston metro and surrounding areas...

The Red Sox are only one game out of first in the AL East. Of course, they are also in last place. ;)
The Red Sox are only one game out of first in the AL East. Of course, they are also in last place. ;)
Yeah and first place is a tie between the Orioles and the Blue Jays. That'll change once the Yankees pitching settles down and CC starts being consistent.
I have a feeling that Beckett and some of the others involved in the "Chicken and Beer" controversy have pegged Youklis as the mole and Bobby V is singling him out. I don't think this can end well...
The Rangers are off to a nice 8-2 start, would be 10-0 if it wasn't for Joe Natham. Going to be a tough week they play the Sox and Tigers. I'm interested to see how Darvish pitches against the Tigers, he has been very erractic so far but a good performance against the Tigers could give him some more confidence. Of course he could be out of the game in the first inning against that lineup. The tigers are the team that scares me the most in the A.L.
Oh ESPN, you've outdone yourself in the title department this time: Ozzie considers Castro a future MVP
Phillies need to start hitting soon or else they will be in trouble.

Lol... sad when the best thing Sox fans have going for them right now is self-deprecating humor.

I don't mean to change the subject, but do you live in the Boston area? Reason I ask is I was talking about the chicken & beer story w/ my BIL the other day and he mentioned the Popeye's down the street from Fenway, then I saw this pic....
This would be that Popeyes. :)
Perfecto in the works!
Crazy last out. Amazing.
Bacchus, sorry about yesterday.
