They could do Old School Veterans [Rachel, Mark, Coral, etc.] vs. New School Veterans [Kenny, Evan, Paula, etc] ...
Clown Snacks said he wasn't including Island face-offs. I think that if those weren't involved then Exiles shouldn't be either.
The Reason I didnt include Island Face-off is because that was not the way to get eliminated from the Island, the votes were. The Exiles were included because if you go into an Exile and lose, you are directly sent home, thus being eliminated. So being that the list involved eliminations only, I excluded Island Face-offs. Plus, the Island was a joke...
maybe it's too early to say goodbye for challenges, but this situation about ratings is really sad.... So I just make this video and want to say big THANK YOU. YouTube - mtv Challenges times
Casey's 5 exile wins make her look as though she has an impressive record. Aneesa on the other hand, really is the elimination round queen.
Indeed those numbers don't tell the whole story. So I've been watching all the Challenges I missed over the years starting with Gauntlet 3; wow, what a difference 2 years makes! One thing I noticed right away was how the emphasis was not on the "story du jour", but mostly everyone got equal airtime. It actually felt interesting opposed to hero group vs villian group every week as we get now.

How about battle of the ages.....25 or older vs younger than 25.
Also, they could do ugly vs. beautiful. or smart vs. dumb, etc.
Brains vs. Brawn would be a great idea! *(not saying that i think that is what this challenge is, just saying it would be a great idea for a new format in the future)**
How about battle of the ages.....25 or older vs younger than 25.
I like that idea... Old School Vs. New School!
I like that idea... Old School Vs. New School!
Not necessarily, I think half of the FMII batch were 25 (at least Vinny and Carley off the top of my head) and someone like CJ is already 25 too...
that is true, Alot of the cast is over 25 accept for some of the new Real Worlders. I know Kelly Anne isn't 25... There are still a handful of people who are under 25. Remember when EV started she was like 18. Pete is 21. Besides CJ, I think a lot of the Cancun cast are under 25.
Wow, the smart vs. dumb idea is gaining traction... Smart team: Ev Susie Johanna Johnny Evan ....(so far looks a lot like the ruins) dumb team?
Wow, the smart vs. dumb idea is gaining traction... Smart team: Ev Susie Johanna Johnny Evan ....(so far looks a lot like the ruins) dumb team?
Everyone else? Honestly, it depends what kind of "smart" you're referring to. Some of these people might not be too street smart, but are very well educated.
Wow, the smart vs. dumb idea is gaining traction... Smart team: Ev Susie Johanna Johnny Evan ....(so far looks a lot like the ruins) dumb team?
Heh that's certainly a team I would love to see lose, especially if the "dumb" team included CT, Wes, Kenny & Brad.
Hmm I feel like Brains vs Brawns an awsome idea but I feel that would be better for a Survivor theme because it seems it is easier to make a cast. I mean on these challenges there aren't many Brains type of people. When we are thinking Brains though are we saying people who are great at mind games and strategy or are we talking about smarts like with puzzles and stuff? Plus it would be hard because some people are a little bit of both. For one of the VR challenges here they made the teams, if I remember, Legends vs Underdogs. They should do that but with something else. It was be hard but maybe you could do it with age, or maybe where that player had their challenge debut. I honestly don't know lol.
Wow, the smart vs. dumb idea is gaining traction... Smart team: Ev Susie Johanna Johnny Evan ....(so far looks a lot like the ruins) dumb team?
I'm not so sure about that one...
I'm not so sure about that one...
I agree, why would you put Ev on the Brains team over Braun? Also, not a lot of people on these shows are known for their intelligence (speaking of, is "Brains" like creating good strategies or doing well at puzzles?). I mean, they're smart, but no one really stands out to me as a really good "puzzle solver". And those people that are, are also usually really strong too. I like the idea, but casting might be a little tough.
Let's get real, no one was casted on the show because they graduated High School at 16 and went early admissions to Yale or Harvard. (Hey I might be wrong, but I am assuming most people aren't casted for their brains). I can't see any of the cast reading anatomy books and sloving rubiks cubes for fun. I think "brains" in this game are people who are the strategic, leader types. They know how to play the game. Like Veronica once said "The game played me, now I'm playing the game" (on the Gauntlet I, I believe) and she had her little cohorts to follow her till The Inferno II. On BOTS II Katie, knew a lot of people didn't like her, so she said she would band with all the newbies together and kick out the vets, another strategic play. Being "smart" in the game doesn't necessarily make you a smart person, but a good player, socially. It's a very thin line between brains and brawns... Like Evan, He is smart and plays the game well, but he is also stacked, same goes for Wes. Although I do like the idea, I think there is a think line which some players cross. And then you have some weak players, who don't seem to be smart or strong and just follow everyone else... Maybe the "IN" crowd and the Misfits?
Brains vs Brawn, Smart vs Dumb, "In" vs Misfits, they probably all have the same problem that most Challenges have had: certain people are too strong as individual competitors and band together with others like them to dominate. There are plenty of people on the Challenges who never have to sweat going into an elimination round because they know they have numbers on their side. It might be interesting to see some kind of challenge where one person going into an elimination is chosen by the winning player/team, and the other is chosen randomly. You'd get a bit of politics but also the top players would still have to sweat a little because they have a small chance to get pushed in as well.
I think it'd be interesting if they did a challenge that was a random assembly of teams. Get two different colored tokens and put them in a drawing for males and and a drawing for females. Those who draw one color are on one team and those who draw the other color are on the other team. As far as the Duel, to eliminate certain social groups from dominating the game with politics, put everybody's name into a random drawing (with the challenge winner for that day being exempt) and have the Duel match-ups determined that way. I think it'd be something different & not so predictable as far as who the people are who will be going in all the time.

As if the ratings aren't bad enough as it is now, a random drawing could potentially leave us with a final challenge with guys like Ryan and Danny or girls like Brooke and Casey. Call me crazy, but I do not think that would draw in more viewers.
Danny would not make it to the end no matter what the rules or concept of the challenge were. I am convinced that guy would be beaten by an inanimate object such as a Cabbage Patch Doll in an elimination round.

If along the way, I got to see Wes, Kenny, Evan or another strong competitor eliminated from out of left field, I'd be satisfied. And most people probably aren't going to stop watching the season halfway through because they've invested at that point. Completely random drawings for elimination rounds don't entirely make sense without some other changes though; they'd have to dole out significant money for each regular challenge round or there wouldn't be incentive to win.
Danny would not make it to the end no matter what the rules or concept of the challenge were. I just finished re-watching Gauntlet III and I felt really bad watching him get eliminated in the final Gauntlet; he should have destroyed Adam. Makes me wonder if Adam could have beaten CT the same way.

Way. CT is much bigger, stronger, and faster than Danny. He would have annihilated Adam in Ball Brawl.
I don't think Danny is destined to make it to the end of a challenge. But I am sure he will be back. Poor thing, he has been on 5 challenges and out of the 5 only made it really far on The Gauntlet 3. He has never even won an elimination round.

[strike]im pissed i looked on my dvr tonight and not only is the Fresh meat 2 finale tonight but the reunion is on to MTV doesnt promote this show anymore like at all it sucks and i dont care what people say FM2 has been pretty good[/strike] I'm pissed. I looked on my DVR tonight and not only is the Fresh Meat 2 Finale tonight, but the reunion is on too. MTV doesn't promote this snow anymore at all! It sucks and I don't care what people say, FM2 has been pretty good.
CT would've seriously injured Adam had they played Ball Brawl. Remember what he did to Derek earlier in the season in that mud pit? Derek is faster than Adam and had a much bigger, open space to work with to get away from CT and he still got to him and slammed him around like a little toy. Just imagine little Adam trying to run away from him within a playing field that was just 10 yards wide.
I really hope that the advertisements for Real World New Orleans suddenly ups the ratings to what they should be and much more. It seems like they've been doing a whole lot more than they have in the past few seasons. they've been making it look a lot more appealing to MTV's typical viewers.
Am I the only one who thinks TJ is an ********? He's sooooo monotone. I don't want to listen to anything he says ever. And the **** he said to Ev when she was eliminated was stupid. He's never played the game, he should go screw. He's the most boring host ever.
