I liked during Battle of the Sexes 2, when the Guys and Girls houses were in the middle of nowhere but they were like 200 yards apart and the girls stole one of the massage chairs and then the guys stole all the girls toilets seats. that was definitely fun to watch ;)
From what I remember, they get saturdays off.
They do get one day a week off from being filmed but they are still stuck on the premises. They don't get to go anywhere except be around the house.
In BOTSexes 2 and I think the first Gauntlet, they actually went out to restaurants in the town they were staying close to and hung out. Trishelle's mountain biking accident happened in Telluride during the first Gauntlet and no camera caught it. All we know is that Norman was talking on his cellphone about it and the Miz helped take care of her in the hospital. Her face was all scratched up though.
Of course, Timmy's line suddenly came to mind: "This is the only time I'm going to nail Trishelle."

It was all the challenges BEFORE I think The Duel.
Battle of the Sexes 1, they went out to clubs and bars. Water skiing and other activities on the weekends. Hung out at the Chili's lounge, and the resorts.
Inferno 1 - Miz and Kendal went to the mall and watched a movie. They got to go out to clubs (fight between Trishelle and...everybody). Hung out at the resort outside of the house. Cast could go on MySpace and use the internet.
Inferno 2 - Out to clubs/bars
Gauntlet 2 - Clubs/bars
Fresh meat - I remember them getting out of the house and going to clubs/bars.
It's so dumb that they can't leave the house. It's way too restrictive and makes the castmembers have less fun.
Like Veronica hated being stuck in "The Ruins" house. On all the challenges she's been on, she could leave and go out to town and bars/clubs. Had access to a cell phone and internet.

Honestly, I think part of the reason is because they are recognizable in somewhere like Whistler. It's not like no one in Canada watches these things. And recently, BMP (sometimes) has done all they can to try and keep the cast a secret. With Twitter and Facebook and all the other social networking sites floating around nowadays, one night could ruin their cover. You'll get the "ZOMG I JUST SAW KENNY AND SOME TALL GIRL AND LANDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And if I recall correctly, they did actually go out in Thailand.
Not that it really matters since we know who they are the day after leaving anyway...but still.
[strike]the main problem is the current crop up guys match up to the guys like mark (RR1), abram (south pacific), miz (btny), shane (campus crawl), theo (MVT), syrus (boston), timmy (RR2), adam (quest), eric (new york), dan (northern trail), dan (miami)... nowadays, all the guys are either unlikable or boring, sometimes both... and the girls played their own game, even if they were weak in competitions, instead of just riding the guys' coattails[/strike]

They should do more challenges in places like Thailand then, so the cast can go out and not be spotted. I'm sure there might be some American tourists around that would see, but probably not too many like if they were in the US or Canada.

It probably won't be long until they would have to re-use some spots.
It probably won't be long until they would have to re-use some spots.
Well, considering they've already filmed 4 challenges in Mexico, I don't think that should be a problem...
It probably won't be long until they would have to re-use some spots.
Not like there's a shortage of locations they haven't been to yet...
They should definitely come back to Australia! Maybe in the outback, or Darwin, Cairns, Tasmania in the summer time...
They should also definitely do Bali, Indonesia at some point, Vietnam, Bermuda or the Bahamas, Argentina/Peru, somewhere in southern Europe like Italy, Spain or Greece... I can think of quite a few places they should go that they haven't been yet. Likely more locations than there are seasons left.
Yeah I'm not too fond of the cast being isolated. Some of my favorite events from previous challenges would be Landon and Derricks wrestling match out in the streets of Manzanillo, or Mark Long freaking out on that bus during G2.
At some point I realized that for the last couple seasons, my favorite episode of the challenges is usually the **** they Should have Shown episode. I really feel as though when you watch that episode you get a different feel for the challenge and how the cast was getting along. The Ruins in particular seems a lot less drama filled, and the cast seems more likable as a result. I think a big part of them resurrecting the challenges appeal would be to show more of the cast having fun during the challenges, since as it stands now it's mostly just politics, drama, backstabbing, and grueling events.
The perfect example of this in my opinion is the Duel 2's **** they should've shown. If they would've shown ALL of that in the acutal season I bet you it would've been much more enjoyable to watch.
Instead they just show all the drama and backstabing which isn't really a bad thing but it seems like no matter how much people strategize, backstab, yell and scream the SAME damn people keep making it to the end which in my opinion makes all of that pointless. I mean why even watch all that when at the end of the day the John, Kenny and Evan will be at the end and win it all?
Also I was thinking. What are some of the biggest mistakes made in the challenges by either an individual or team.
Also on Extreme Challenge where the mistake was that Ayanna hit Christian and was replaced by Susie which ultimately cost them the final win. Road Rules even said that they would much had preferred Ayanna over Susie.
The Rw Dc And Cancun Are Ready to Get on a challenge! Lmao
Havent heard anything about Ericka,Mike,Josh Or joey showing intrest in doing one.
Its funny how The Real World Cancun and DC people think they can take on the Challenge but as soon as they get on the challenge they will be in for a rude awakening.
My favorite elimination round was Back Off from The Duel II.
Who would most likely win in the following match ups?
Kenny Vs. Johnny
Ev Vs. Rachael R.
Darell Vs. Brad
Diem Vs. Paula
Laurel Vs. Jodi
CT vs. Frank (Vegas)

Kenny - wrestling training
Rachael R. - she is tougher than EV IMO
Darell - Boxing training helps here
Paula- Diem always buckles under pressure
Laurel- Jodi hasnt been in many elimination rounds and the one i remember inferno 2..she got flustered against VERONICA
CT- no contest
I have a question - I saw Noor posted in the Kenny thread and had seen a couple other actual cast members post - do a lot of cast members post here?
I don't know if I would say "a lot" but I can think of about 25 off the top of my head that are members here.
Thanks Molds - thanks for the cast spoilers too - was my reason for lurking before signing up!
No problem. Glad you finally took the plunge!
Who would most likely win in the following match ups? I chose to think of all of the past elimination rounds.
Kenny Vs. Johnny: I think Kenny, not if a puzzle though. I think Johnny would do better in a puzzle.
Ev Vs. Rachael R.: Rachel. I know Ev is a better competitor but Rachel is way taller than Ev it seems and I think she could take her.
Darell Vs. Brad: I would say about 50/50, yeah Darrell is a boxer and did beat the crap out of Brad on the Ruins, but I think it just all depends on the elimination here.
Diem Vs. Paula: Paula. Mainly because I think Paula is better under pressure and is stronger than we actually see.
Laurel Vs. Jodi: Laurel. Laurel is basically a beast. Jodi was really never that good, I personally think if she had even gone into a Duel she would have lost, but she got lucky on that one. She was horrible on Inferno 2, and lost to Veronica on a mummy wrapping competition. Hands down Laurel.
CT vs. Frank (Vegas): No doubt in my mind that CT would win.
:)

Kenny vs. Johnny- i think Johnny is overrated. Kenny would win 9/10 times.
Ev vs. Rachel- Rachel has the size advantage, so I'd say her. Plus, if Ev is upset, she'd just quit the challenge anyway.
Darrell vs. Brad- It would be a fair match, but I think Darrell would win because Brad did lose to Abe in a physical challenge on Inferno 2 and I think Darrell is stronger than Abe.
Diem vs. Paula- No question Paula.
Laurel vs. Jodi- Laurel. Don't have specific reasons why.
Ct vs Frank- Frank is smart and would come up with a good strategy, but CT is a monster and would win.
Kenny Vs. Johnny- I'd have to go with Kenny. Although, he is wasy overrated, so is Johnny.
Ev Vs. Rachael R.- Personally, I'd say Ev. Rachel is strong, but I think Ev could take her. It'd be tight though..
Darell Vs. Brad-I think it would just depend on the challenge. They've both proven to be two of the strongest guys on these challenges.
Diem Vs. Paula- Paula. I just think she's stronger.
Laurel Vs. Jodi- hmm... likely Laurel...
CT vs. Frank (Vegas)- Probably CT, although Frank would have a good shot.
Casey's 5 exile wins make her look as though she has an impressive record. Aneesa on the other hand, really is the elimination round queen.
This is true. It's nice to have easy numbers to look at, but especially when it comes to Exiles with partners, it's really hard to quantify and the numbers sure don't tell the whole story.
Sure sucks to be Danny, though.
Mark Long is by far the coolest dude of any of these reality shows, the guy replies on twitter unlike many celebs (no matter whether a-list or z list), plus just gave him the link to the site and he said he would check it out!
Mark is very cool to talk to actually. He would LOVE to host the next Challenge too.
Yes, but if he was given the chance to host or compete (say, in Duel III) which do you think he would take?
For now, I think he would be willing to do either. With the option to host there, I would guess he might make himself an alternate. I don't really know but I can certainly ask him on Twitter .... or you can @MarkLongMTV is him on Twitter.
So I asked Mark that very question about competing or hosting and his response was: "Host for sure!"
