I think that's the best guess we have, because I don't see rivals.
We all know BMP/MTV prefer drama over competition. They couldn't careless how weak the cast is.

That's probably true. Pretty much anything we've seen in the past could work with this other than Cutthroat (not enough people) and The Inferno (too many people). I still think Rivals works though any partner challenge would suck IMO

Do you know what sucks? Not having a Challenge. Rivals and Exes, 2 partner challenges, saved the show from cancellation. Partner challenges are the safest bet for drama. Not only do you have each team's interaction with the other teams, but you have the interaction between the people in the partnership. It gives you drama on multiple fronts. I would not mind a partner challenge for this season as it would give an interesting dynamic to the house and fragment alliances.
I think they're going to keep the simple theme and new concept going. They're doing alright with that strategy.
I hate Partners too. I don't know one cast member who wants partners over singles. Except for like robin or something
I really want to make a comment about Jillian, but she's not on this challenge so I will refrain.
Focusing on things actually going on with this challenge, I'm hoping for more of an emphasis on the competition this time around because BOTS was a little too drama oriented for my taste (yes, I know it's BMP). I'm also hoping a few competitors can surprise me, because predictability is never a good thing. My favorite thing from challenges is when a cast member goes beyond all speculation and beats the odds (fond memories of Sarah from G1 and Katie Doyle on Inferno 1 come to mind).

Partners with a good theme. Freshmeat was partners as well, remember? Rivals and exes can relate to everyone and is interesting to watch.

I was so excited and confused when I read this...I thought you were commenting on Rachel saying she was going to be there. I love the girls from Austin and got really excited and was wondering how the heck I missed this but figured my mortal fear of zombies could have had me bypass her pic quickly.....but then I reread it and realized you were making a comparison :(

4 of the last 5 challenges were partner elimination--another partner challenge would suck and be a mistake by BMP IMO. You can disagree all you want--doesn't make either of us wrong. If it another partner elimination I won't be watching. I'm tired of good competitors having no shot because of a horrid partner
Also, if it's not a new format, I really really really really hope it's Battle of the Sexes. Those were some of my favorite seasons. I think if they change the rules a bit and throw in eliminations with the score board (I wont go through my whole idea again I posted some pages ago) that it could work really well.

Dear Molds, thank you for all the time and effort for researching, confirming, and posting cast spoilers. You are the best! I know you have been doing this for a long time, so I give you props for that too.
As a reply to this thread, I have to say that I had a feeling Emily was going to be on. She makes it so obvious on twitter, she goes ghost for days and her tweets become different. I knew something was going on when she wasn't tweeting about certain topics.
What happened with Heather Cooke going into the NWSL to compete against the best female soccer players? Did she throw that away to join this competition? If she did, I am majorly disappointed in her.
Even though I'm positive that it's not I would personally love to see this be Inferno 4. Inferno is my personal favorite format of challenges and this cast would make it really good. Anything where the teams are divided evenly and fair would be the best bet for me.
I can see both sides of the argument about the format being pairs. It adds more drama and depth to the stories but in the competition standpoint of things it's just not the way to go. I personally enjoy big teams to partners because I feel the focus has to at least be evenly split between drama and competition.Multiple teams (more than 2) is also a great way to go. I really enjoyed the 3 team dynamic that Cutthroat displayed.
I think it is 2 teams.. The numbers do not add up to to make it a Cutthroat. My guess is teams like an Inferno or something. No pairs really make sense at this point. And the pictures that Molds did look like they were done like that for a reason. At first glance I noticed some were done in color and some were not. Could that be the way they were broken out in teams-- that is my guess. I have not had a chance to really analyze the pictures and why that would make sense in more detail however
Why is it Vets vs Rookies is not an option? I'm hoping it's Ruins 2 and Vets/Rookies so maybe I'm hoping a little too hard but we have no reason to think it's not Vets/Rookies

2. The cast fits Vets vs Rookies with the exception of some girls. Rivals is more of a stretch to imagine than some girls being placed differently.
3. Riley Man (haven't seen him btw) was right about the cast a month ago. Maybe he's just a good speculator, but I see no reason his format guess should be written off.
4. If Devyn has gone home I haven't seen anyone else, that means solo elim so it's not partners. It's either a duel or a team challenge then?

I actually wouldn't mind an inferno 4....the only problem I had with the inferno's is having an elimination every two weeks...but with the episodes now an hour long maybe we'd get two missions an episode.
Also.....wish they'd go back to the 1/2 hour episodes....it was nice having longer seasons :) with both The Challenge and Real World.

My first time seeing the cast (a bit late I know), but wow, am I severely disappointed. Every season when the cast is posted everyone complains about them but I normally find a way to make myself excited for the season or I think people are overreacting...but I have zero opinion about this cast. It's not even a "bad" cast. It just seems very dull to me. Oh well. Of course I'll still watch. Hopefully these people prove me wrong!

2. Vets vs Rookies to me is the same thing as "old school vs new school" which can be "made up" teams..it's like good guys/bad *****. MTV can just make up teams, put Jonna on the rookies/new school team and then the teams are balanced. Don't get why that's a stretch.

Yeah, Jamie was miscast as they ignored the 5 on 5 challenge with him. I could see that being acceptable but I just don't know how you separate Jonna & Emily. Now it could be "Old School" vs "New School" if we have a decent cut-line (haven't checked for that) but Vets-Rooks doesn't work using their pay scales.

What conflict? The cast was not told the format when they were invited. There is noting in the contract to indicate either the location or the format.
This is as good a place as any to comment on "Riley." His job in working with MTV personalities during spring break at South Padre gave him unique access to cast members who either had been invited or knew who was invited to be on this challenge. Some told him what they knew, including some invited cast and the departure date. In posting names here, he actually named some who gave him the inside information. Perhaps he didn't know the problems he could create for his sources, but anyone with half a brain should have figured that out.
Vevmo has a long tradition of finding the cast via public sources or by secondary sourcing. Seeking info directly from cast members is something I find deplorable. No cast member would want to be outed in a forum for having provided such information in confidence to anyone, especially to someone [U][B][I]in a position of trust who is working with them in a business capacity.[/I][/B][/U]
I've been in a similar position in the past when, as a byproduct of my work, I became aware of cast members who were going to participate in a challenge. That is why I restrict myself to only confirm those who are not on a challenge and not under contract. It's a matter of principle.

2. Made up new vets/rookies format means emily, jonna are the questionable ones. I went with Jonna because of the potential zach drama.
3. I thought he had the whole cast except Tyler who dropped out last minute, but I still count him as "right"
