Those people that the viewers got used to are actually entertaining. They are great competitors and are actually funny. They are good for the in house environments as well. Have you seen guys like Frank, Zach, CJ do interviews. Its night and day compared to a guy like Evan. San Diego 2 was the worst season of the Real World I have ever seen. I had to make myself finish the season, it was a struggle. I have probably seen 20 seasons in which I have never felt like that. This season is bad, it has nothing to do with familiarity. Guys like Frank, Zach, and CJ cannot carry a show themselves. Atleast we got this season out of the way and now know who makes for good tv and who doesnt.
Nielsen and Twitter announced Monday a new service called the Nielsen Twitter TV Rating, set to launch in Fall 2013, that will incorporate traditional TV Ratings with social media "ratings" to give companies, advertisers, and networks a complete look at their audience and ability to attract an audience. Looks like the ratings may be going up on the next challenge^^

He was comparable to Landon and he didn't really do anything to make himself unlikable. Highly disagree on JEK running the whole game and being jerks being entertaining. Sure it was a huge mistake to cast this many rookies, but I'm glad we finally didn't get JEK or Paula on a challenge. There needs to be a fair mix of vets and rookies like Cutthroat had and I'm positive the next season will have that perfect mix.

JEK and company have been doing this shows for a very long long time that's why they know how to carry the show, they know what do,act or say to have camera time they have learned from past challenges. Looked over the past challenges the very first ones, they were irrelevant. I think Zach is one of those ppl,he saw that he was irrelevant on his season of the RW and thats why he decided to acted like a jerk in this challenge to make ppl notice him,in my opinion acting like a "gentleman" or a "jerk" didnt help him bc he still sucks, but who knows maybe the next season he will bring someone new.
Looked over the past challenges the very first ones, they were irrelevant.
I know you're not talking about Abram, CT, Darrell, Wes, Brad or Landon.
Zach is just a ****** that threatens to "kill" everybody against him but he'll never even point a gun at someone or choke someone to death in person. CT would though lol. I have to admit that although I liked the way this challenge was set up (how eliminations would go, the challenges, the final, etc..) I just could NOT stand having Frank's uglyass face on my television for another split second! Now I've watched tons of reality TV shows, even the most trashy ones, from the likes of: Flavor of Love I Love New York Real Chance of Love I Love Money Daisy of Love For the love of Ray J A Shot at love with Tila Tequila That's Amore Bad Girls Club Survivor Love Games etc... and I have not found somebody more despicable than Frank. Not Johnny Fairplay, not Tailor Made, not even Midget Mac. If the next challenge doesn't have 1 of these: 1) CT 2) Vets vs Rookies (with a lot more good vets like Darrell, Isaac or Johnny) 3) Duel 3 I'm positive this show will lose even more ratings.

When did Isaac become a "good vet" after one challenge?
When did Isaac become a "good vet" after one challenge?
He was/is such a funny and chill guy on his season and on Duel 2 that I've mistaken him for a Vet sorry lol. So technically he's a rookie. And no I don't think Jasmine or Dustin should be considered true veterans of The Challenge. That's like saying if someone goes on 2 challenges and is the first eliminated on both of them just because he's going on to his third one he will be considered a "vet". I think to be a Veteran you must have been on at least more than 3 challenges and either: 1) Have come in 1st on a Challenge 2) Have won at least 2 elimination rounds
So that means that Robin, Ace, Diem, Casey, Melinda, Danny, Ryan, Davis, Tyrie, and Kelly Anne arent veterans?
So that means that Robin, Ace, Diem, Casey, Melinda, Danny, Ryan, Davis, Tyrie, and Kelly Anne arent veterans?
No, JayTee is simply wrong in all three points. Contractually, anyone who has appeared on two challenges would be offered the "veteran" version of the contract.
I believe he meant to say those are his qualifications for who should be considered a vet. I don't quite agree with him but calling anyone who's been on 2 challenges a real "vet" is silly imo.

MTV/BMP have their contract rules and have never sought "fan's" opinions. Of course, none of this belongs in the ratings thread anyway.
I wonder if the ratings will be down even further for the Finale ? My guess is.....YES.
CHALLENGE: BATTLE SEASONS MTV 10:00 PM 1.01 0.6 Reunion isn't listed
The ratings started on a low note and ended on one.

As soon as he mentioned Evan his post went right out the window.
Exactly. It's just the fact that they relied on those vets for so long that the viewers got used to them. And then they see this challenge with noone they're familar with people got turned off....This is exactly why they should stop casting the same damn people on every challenge.
Well said. It got old the minute ot started happening.
Through ten episodes, Seasons is averaging 1.11 million with a 0.70 rating. Remember past seasons have all been ten episodes. To recap past average ratings: Ruins: 1.61 million, 1.0 Fresh Meat 2: 1.19 million, 0.71 Cutthroat: 1.36 million, 0.77 Rivals: 1.82 million, 1.08
At the end of the season through twelve episodes---average ratings: 1.09 million, 0.68 Worse than Fresh Meat 2.
Exactly. As soon as he mentioned Evan his post went right out the window.
I rather watch Evan on a challenge then Frank, Zach, or CJ. Sorry. Someone said they thought that they could carry a challenge and the only reason ratings were low was because of familiarity. I disagree.I didnt not find this to be a good season. CJ is not comparable to Landon. Landon has played big roles in all of his shows starting as a rookie on Inferno 2. CJ had one great elimination in 2 shows and thats it. Evan is a great competitor, is good for the in house environment and he is entertaining unlike guys like Frank and Zach who are a cancer to the in house environment and to the show.

My comparison of Landon to CJ was simply based on how they're mostly serious competitors. Nothing more, nothing less.

I feel like there's a sizeable portion of the Challenge viewership who are older, have been watching these forever (thus we feel almost obligated or compelled to keep watching them), are not Nielsen households and don't give two flipping ****s about Twitter. Obviously under this new scheme, we are still going to be invisible viewers. So it's not really a "complete" look at who is watching this show.

I feel like this is why RW, besides playing it safe by casting people who aren't necessarily interesting, hasn't been doing well ratings-wise lately. BMP and MTV need to find a way to kind of revamp the show to bring in a new generation of viewers otherwise I don't see The Challenges or RW surviving.
JEK is Frank and Zach by another name. My comparison of Landon to CJ was simply based on how they're mostly serious competitors. Nothing more, nothing less.
And I disagree. Landon is like CJ in that they are both good guys and good competitors but that's where the comparisons end. If you actually watched all of Landon's seasons you wouldn't think he only brings a competitive nature to the show and nothing more. I have never even mentioned JEK, only person I mentioned was Evan. I guess it's gotten to the point that you can't even see him as an individual anymore and what he brings to the show. You just automatically associate him with JEK. JEK only was together for 2 shows. Majority of Evan's challenges there was no JEK. Frank and Zach are not JEK in another name, they are not alike. Frank and Zach bring terrible drama, are not funny, and are a cancer to the in house environment.

Not shocked at the final ratings. This is the first time I didn't watch a challenge finale, and it will be the last if Frank or Zach are on a final again. I can't bare to watch or hear them anymore. I literally feel so uncomfortable and disgusted whenever they speak or behave the way they do on the show. I'm PRAYING they aren't cast anymore! If those two are the future of the show, and are suppose to anchor it, than I will be fine with MTV canceling The Challenge, it pains me to say it but I seriously can't take Frank or Zach.

When did we saw the last time that a person was so hated. On a show, you need those type of people to make it special. They scream, they abuse teammates, they think they are the best, etc. But they can back up their talk. However they need competition. Next to them, everybody looks like an angel. Perfect way for a new era, where JEK will going to be the good guys!

Then again it is just their first challenge where the spotlight was mostly on them maybe later on they'll become like JEK being the villains you love to hate.
