She was definitely supposed to be a bigger name than what she was as far as entertainment; Gauntlet 2 was supposed to possibly be her 6th Challenge (I remember hearing rumors that she was supposed to do the Gauntlet, Inferno and BOTSexes 2). I would've liked to see more interaction with her & Katie.
The only time she even tried was on Seasons IIRCI'm glad she wasn't on The Inferno--that was a great cast without her. I wouldn't give up Holly, Veronica, Christena, Kendal or Katie for anyone. It was accidentally the best female cast on one side ever. Hell--Coral, Julie, Trishelle, Leah & Mallory might make that the best female cast ever. They probably would have bumped Roni from The Gauntlet for her so I'm glad that didn't happen either.
Oh she was not the best competitor lol but as far as drama she could bring it. I honestly think had she not missed her flight, Tina wouldn't have debuted until BOTSexes 2 but we'll never know. The Inferno cast definitely worked well without her but looking back on it, I wouldn't have minded her taking Kina's place on the next season.
Okay, if she would have replaced Tina on The Gauntlet that would have been fine
But yeah...Jisela really could've been a big name back in the golden era. But I think she wasn't as much into reality TV as other people. I remember reading an interview with her after her RR season and it seemed like she hated reality tv so I just thought that after Battle of the Sexes 1 we wouldn't see her again. I was surprised she popped up for Gauntlet 2 honestly.

Pretty sure they were just begging people for G2...so many declined. Guessing she was paid well

she was supposed to be on Gauntlet 1, Inferno 1, and Sexes 2, but dropped out due to Coral. She disliked Coral from the whole Malik/"ho train" comments, and avoided her at all costs, and wanted to avoid her at all costs.

Well Coral was better for the show anyway...
Coral hated Jisela on Seasons...on their reunion show she made that very clear. Hate was clearly mutually
I believe Jisela signed up for the Gauntlet 2 but had to use time off/vacation days from her work... and so she could only be there for a certain amount of time. So she just asked to go in and threw the elimination so she could dip and walk off with that appearance check.
I'm not surprised Christena is so successful. A beautiful girl with a brain, a good head on her shoulders & an awesome competitor aside. Most of the trash we're subjected to today won't ever come close to her achievements.
Agreed. I miss people like her on the shows. Entertaining and not trashy and over dramamtic just for air time. <3 I guess we for sure will never be seeing her again compete lol

I was sad we lost Piggy on Inferno...I really wanted to to see her again on a Challenge. But I loved the girls team on Inferno so much. We may never have gotten Christena had Piggy been able to stay which would have been sad. I really wanted an epic Piggy return though at some point lol

Which I kind of wish they would do again. We got a lot of random's on that season. Susie was back randomly, most of the Xtreme cast was there, Jamie, Jo (she made a good first episode), Jermey, Randy, etc. It'd be nice to see a season like that now, where they dip into Portland, Ex-Plosion, Skeletons, GBOGH, Bad Blood and dip even farther back to some old school golden age people. I think they'd be surprised how good of TV it would make. It could create some new intersting people to watch, while still calling back to the old shows. Even though at the time I hated that a lot of my favs weren't on it I remember it felt fresh and fun to see cast members that are always fillers in other seasons rise to the top. Same with Seasons 2...we got Trishelle, Alton, the Austin Bunch (Lacey <3) and a bunch of people from Real World seasons we prob never would have seen if it wasn't for the odd format that forced some regulars off.
Jiselas instagram...DAMN. She hasn't aged a bit. It seems like she is no longer with her husband / boyfriend who she had a child with. She looks amazing though.

yeah gauntlet 2 they were literally calling anybody, random as ****. ALOT of the people they casted dropped. coral said that production wasn't paying them what they promised so a lot of cast members walked off.

Agree with all of this but the producers don't want this show to be great.
Fingers crossed that THIS link goes through (my last one a few days ago didn't for some reason). Anyway, I just saw an article on Us Weekly about what former RW/RW/Challenge people are currently doing and there were a couple of surprises. Here's the link (hopefully!):

Clearly, after looking at the cast list for next season I legit wanted to cry. I feel like my favorite show I've been watching since Sexes 1 is officailly dead with that cast list

Same here. I truly hate what the show has devolved into.
I agree about this cast list. I've been watching The Challenge since the beginning and it hasn't felt like the same show for years but I've tried to evolve and roll with the punches. With the upcoming season, however, I'll read the spoilers first and then decide whether it's worth watching. I guess all good things must come to an end and for me, it looks like it's just about that time for The Challenge.

I keep feeling very alone with this opinion on this site, this was refreshing to see so many others of you feeling the same way. Hoping this next season will do poorly only to open up the eyes of the production company to maybe go back to its roots.
I'm loving the updates of former cast members on here <3

its MTV. Their stupidity and incompetence is unfixable at this point.
This network sees John and Cara, not even the most interesting duo, in fact they ruin every season with their repetitive storylines, as the stars of the show. That tells you all you need to know about MTV and their mindset
I didn't watch his Real World season but from reading message boards over the years, I know he's a favorite of a lot of viewers. Sad news but wishing him all the best.
Her & Aneesa are also still super close to this day.
Okay, if she would have replaced Tina on The Gauntlet that would have been fine
I still remember Aneesa talking about Jisela leaving as though she was losing her girlfriend on Sexes (at least I think it was Sexes)
It was Gauntlet 2.
Well I only had two options and I guessed wrong lmao
