Another partner Challenge!!? Wow hallelujah this is fantastic!!!! (can you smell the sarcasm)
An educated guess, Rivals it will be still to soon in my opinion. Plus the highest rated season since the Ruins is Exes...So it would be smart to go with it especially since it was 3 seasons ago. Right now they have enough "Exes" for it.
I thought Rivals I got higher ratings than Exes.
I say gauntlet or battle of exes
I thought Rivals I got higher ratings than Exes.
Rivals reached higher numbers, but Exes was more consistent and had a higher average. Rivals had numbers ranging from 1.4 - 2.4 million, Exes stayed at a constant 1.9 million with one early episode reaching 2.2 million.
Do networks have ways of monitoring ratings beyond the initial airing? Like obviously MTV knows how many people watch it on mtv.com but do they know how many people watch it on demand or on DVR? If so, these numbers might not be as scary as they seem since it might just mean more people watch it online.

They care about the numbers it receives on its debut on television.
I also think the whole thing where they wouldn't let them on social networks for weeks, almost months & even then they still couldn't talk about the show until they started filming was stupid because that's promo in itself. They tried to kill this season IMO, possibly trying to kill the show off itself.

what i dont understand is why do they have promos for a SEASON 3 OF CATFISH every other commercial? its the same stories over and over on that show and tbh i think theyre getting fake just so people can be on TV. Less catifsh promotion, more challenge promotion. Theyre not putting enough promotion into it.
I remember reading somewhere that the vast majority of the stories on Catfish are fabricated.
I remember reading somewhere that the vast majority of the stories on Catfish are fabricated.
They definitely seem that way.
I just remember thinking a few years back that Paula really knew how to pick her rivals. First evelyn and then Paula? Girls got good rival-picking skills (not to mention she won her two wins with them!)
I just remember thinking a few years back that Paula really knew how to pick her rivals. First evelyn and then Paula? Girls got good rival-picking skills (not to mention she won her two wins with them!)
Yeah, it was really smart of Paula to pick herself. :P
Yeah, it was really smart of Paula to pick herself. :P
Whoops I meant Emily. Seems I can't edit it , so hehe yeah
I just remember thinking a few years back that Paula really knew how to pick her rivals. First evelyn and then Paula? What made Paula and Emily rivals exactly?
What made Paula and Emily rivals exactly?
Emily was mad at Paula for sending her into the Dome on Exes. That lasted like 2 episodes and was never mentioned again.
Emily was mad at Paula for sending her into the Dome on Exes. That lasted like 2 episodes and was never mentioned again.
It wasn't really mentioned, but Emily also knocked Paula out of Cutthroat. Paula was crying to Emily to throw it. rofl

She was great in Rivals 2 because she had Evelyn and Emily to form the foundation. In Cutthroat and BOTE, two challenges that were around the same time period as both Rivals, she turned in subpar performances, which just goes to show you that she is permanently reliant on others and cannot be strong on her own. Could you imagine if she were partnered with Mandi, Jazmine, Ryan? Yikes.
I really dont believe the ratings will go up due to the fact that playoff games(NHL,NBA) are being played during that time slot.

She's a great endurance runner which makes her a great asset to have on the team.Whereas, say CT's strength is in the eliminations, and he's not so much of an endurance guy
I'm sure if they counted the online views, the ratings would be higher. I, for one, don't get the channel, so I end up watching after work on Friday. I do hope ratings go up, but MTV should try to do promote it better. If they don't promote it all that much, they can't expect good ratings.
Is it just me or is this season just plain boring? Nothing memorable yet from a challenge perspective and the drama is just dull and meaningless.
Is it just me or is this season just plain boring? I can't really pin point why because it has all the makings for a great show. IDK, but I was so excited for Rivals 2 it wasn't even funny. Every week I was just dying to watch. This one just seems so blah.
Is it just me or is this season just plain boring? I'm kind of excited for next week's mission though. I'd love to compete in something like that, it looks fun and hilarious.

The Draw is getting better but I still think everyone should flip cards at the exact same time. They should go up claim there card and then TJ says flip and they flip their card over. More intense that way to me.
It's not just you. this season is already unbelievably boring to me. I can't really pin point why because it has all the makings for a great show. Free Agents is just so rushed each episode and the editing is bad. I hate the no politicking and the conversations that came from that. Its just lame. The missions are okay but I didn't really care for last nights. It would have been better has a partner challenge that way everyone had to do something instead of someone just up against the wall looking crazy. Also, I hate how on the first mission not everyone did the same thing because I feel like the puzzle people did nothing.
Is it just me or is this season just plain boring? Well being a lover of The Challenges, I've actually been enjoying this season. It has a different vibe and even though it isn't just drama overload there is something refreshing about it to me. I like the draw and have been thoroughly entertained.
I still think everyone that didn't win the challenge should be in the draw
