I always wonder what V1man, molds13, Bac and all the other mods think about this yet they keep quiet.....
They stopped caring long time ago lol. Especially V1man.

V1man sent me this over private message:
"The present ratings are not sufficient to sustain the show. It is what it is."
V1man sent me this over private message:

So does that mean its getting canceled?

But didn't he also RW was done after Portland and look how Explosion did?
I'm not sure how EXACTLY this would work, of if it would, but i've seen many shows do this. What if they aired The Challenge on another network? (like much music, or that channel that plays pretty little liars now?) It could even be played on another night a few days later, but they're sure to get more viewers because, as far as I know, some of those shows have huge followings.
I'm not sure if it would work, or even if its legal, but that is an idea. Or try advertising on different channels?
I hope the ratings go up, we thought the same thing about explosion after 2 episodes because it was episode 3 where the ratings jumped so I'm hoping the same thing happens
It won't be canceled. But don't expect something on the lines of Free Agents unless the rating skyrocket by the finale.
RW Ex-Plosion, everyone said it would do bad but the ratings were going up by Week 2 as they were higher than Week 1. Free Agents is decreasing by Week 2. I see it going up but not by much.
I hear planning for the next challenge is happening and they are gonna need all the planning they can get to save this show.
Its shame how The Challenge struggles but Survivor is still doing okay. Like I just don't understand. I know there different shows but still...
I agree 100%. Most people I talk to like this format because it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I'm surprised some of you don't like the draw and the killing of alliances. That's one of the most appealing aspects of this season to me. No more BS where people and their buddies just conspire to throw everybody else in and sit back on elimination day. For years alliances have made a large part of these shows incredibly predictable. I don't want predictable. I want it to be possible on any given night for someone to go in. I want people like Johnny to have to actually go into an elimination and fight for their lives like rookies or people that aren't in their boys club have to do all the time. I only wish we had all of JEK on this season and a few more bigger names.
Exactly. I LOVE this format. Because now nobody is safe and people can just rely on their friends to hand them the money. There's uncertanty and it keeps you on edge and I like that.
It seems like the challenges I care for the most get the worst ratings (Seasons, Free Agents) smh..
I know right! Out of the last 6 challenges, Cutthroat, Seasons, and Free Agents were/are my favorite formats and they all did bad in ratings.

I liked all three of those seasons too! funny you mentioned them.
But yeah it seems that all good formats don't do so well. Such a shame.

So true... Which sucks.

Another challenge is being plan right now (Early! Format discussions), no calls have gone out yet like I have been telling you guys for a while.
But if the challenge doesn't delivers numbers probably is getting cancel after season 26 and something else that give them ratings and produce money for Viacom would replaced it.
I just hope ratings pick up for this season and the next one if not bye Challenges.

I know its early format discussion, I know calls aren't being made right now, thats pretty obvious to all of us...
I don't see The Challenge getting canceled after Season 26. I see Free Agents reaching the million mark eventually but nothing huge. However, I see Season 26 doing good because Seasons was bad and they came back with Rivals II they can do it if they stop taking risk and stick with what they know and works.
They will come back with 26. Better cast, a new or old theme, politics (thank god). I have faith.

We will see! all I am saying if the challenge doesn't deliver it's not indispensable for MTV and it will get cancel. That's why BMP should take all the time of the world to plan Real World 30 and Challenge 26.
If shows like Jersey Shore and Teen Mom 3 that pullout better ratings over the 1.5- 2.0 mark) got cancel the challenges would too if BMP doesn't come up with away to increase maintain ratings while not upsetting cast members.

Well I think they have figured out RW... hopefully and I thought they had figured out The Challenge by now but I guess not.
Really its just the presentation of Free Agents thats the problem. Promotion and editing are TERRIBLE!

Would be a shame ... end of an era.
There will be, but whether that'll be the last is debatable.
Basically, ideas are already starting to be talked about for next season.
So there will be a Season 26 but based on how that does will determine a Season 27 so on and so forth. The show is still on a season to season bases but worst than ever.
So there definitely is going to be another Challenge season after this one?
Not definite but highly likely. I've been hearing a Exes 2 or Rivals 3 or something with a theme like those if this season doesn't pick up in ratings.

I think I'd rather the show end than see another Rivals, especially this soon. They had to make some serious stretches for the Rivals II teams, I can't imagine what we'd see for a Rivals III. They'll probably pair two people together for simply breathing the same air.

It wouldn't be a Rivals 3 and Exes 2 is happening first than another Rivals
It wouldn't be a Rivals 3 and Exes 2 is happening first than another Rivals
I agree. I believe the Rivals 3 suggestion was incase they can't get enough pairings for an Exes.
It wouldn't be a Rivals 3 and Exes 2 is happening first than another Rivals
How do you know an Exes 2 is happening then a Rivals 3.
Or is this your educated guess...?
How do you know an Exes 2 is happening then a Rivals 3.

An educated guess, Rivals it will be still to soon in my opinion.
Plus the highest rated season since the Ruins is Exes...So it would be smart to go with it especially since it was 3 seasons ago.
Right now they have enough "Exes" for it.
