They might have just forgotten to put it in the list. I'm sure it did better than 700,000 viewers.
IDK but I doubt they just forgot it. The base MTV audience seems to be in the 650K range total meaning even when their worst shows and reruns are on in primetime, that is about what they average. Usually the only way to find that out is to look for articles on them that say, "Even though Caged is only averaging 650K viewers a week, it is a ****** good show".
The Directv (which I still spell Direct TV) Cleanse and the Espy's probably hurt the show, but I'm telling you and the MTV people reading, IMHO if they do not flood morning/daytime with reruns, they are not going to recapture much of the audience. People sitting at home in the AC in the heat will watch it and accept it and then might come around to the new episodes. People who don't really see it, are never coming.
Since BMP may be developing a dating reality show for MTV based on some odds and ends I have seen, there is always the possibility that a bridge is already being built to end Real World and continue deepening a talent pool for the Challenges in a mutually profitable manner. Who knows.
Losing 20% of their potential viewership definitely hurt (not even getting into the editing failures and the competitive programming) and now the Viacom vs. DirecTV battle is becoming a blood sport:

It is kind of funny, but brutal nonetheless...
Viacom also retweeted Johnny Bananas saying that DirecTv was dropping the channels.
It's like that old saying: Who's the bigger fool? The fool or the fool that follows the fool?
MTV could at least TRY to show reruns. I started watching the show Caged but then I missed one episode, they never reshowed it, and I stopped watching the show because I didn't know what was going on. They stopped advertising it too. That's what they're basically doing with RW right now.

I was so disappointed about how they handled caged. It was actually a pretty good show IMO. When they moved it to 11 with no reruns, it pretty much doomed it forever. I think MTV is trying a little harder to revive this season of RW than they did with San Diego, but they have a history IMO of only promoting the show one week based on its previous week's performance which can be a death spiral.

But then MTV seems to be very generous with reruns of Jersey Shore (and it's spinoffs), Awkward, Teen Wolf, and anything with Rob Dyrdek.

I think all those except maybe awkward are higher rated shows (no idea what its ratings are). I haven't seen a lot of awkward reruns but I haven't watched nearly as much MTV lately. I have become inexplicably addicted to a PBS hi-def station that shows lots of British focused documentary-type shows. Perhaps if they did RW dubbed in British accents more people would watch LOL
FishHooks I share your sentiment. I can not stand Awkward, its stupid *** drama and lame as ****. Like who cares who Ashley Rickards is sleeping with. I mean she is beautiful though.
And yeah Jersey Shore is getting higher ratings. Had JS been in TRW shoes and vice versa (in other words started in 2009 versus 1992) then we would've seen mad TRW episodes and this conversation would've never happed.
I wonder, is it possible for the show to be pulled before it finishes its season run. I know that happens on network TV sometimes but I haven't heard it happen with something like Real World.

In my opinion, we're not at that point.
For a non-network show to be pulled is exceptionally rare. You will need to look at all other cable/satellite show at the same day/hour to see RW's ranking within its time slot.
MTV's total day average went from almost 500,000 viewers on July 10 to 273,000 on July 13, a 43% dip. VH1 has dropped almost 30% of its audience and Comedy Central is off 21% for the same period.
....or directv will. I don't expect Viacom to blink until closer to fall. Summer ratings are always crap.

People have an attention span of about 3 days (as Jon Stewart hit on last night.)
Disney is the big winner here. Nickelodeon is the most watched channel on TV. Disney might be that before it is over. How interesting and ironic that Viacom and DirecTV hand Disney the title.
The Real World met its maker in this dispute. Ratings were bad enough and then this happened. It was the straw...
DirecTV might be having a few defections, but in the end their core are under contract and not going anywhere. Viacom is killing series, channels and profit centers.
My current submission into the "Viacom flinch pool" is July 21st at 5 PM. A weekend dump story. Everyone is a "winner." Back to the grind of raising rates every year...

One might interpret that as saying RW will be cancelled for certain now. I have seen no such pronouncement or even indication though such a result likely has less to do with this dispute and more to do with the show having run its course and then some without so much as any hint of the 20 year makeover similar to the ones that even bathrooms and kitchens must have to add value to the house.

My bet is that advertising agency pressure in on VIACOM, not DirecTV. Bacchus and I are of like minds here, but I'm not ready to pick a date for the face-saving announcement from both parties.

For all I know it was renewed for two seasons...so this and another one.
"To Pee or Not to Pee" is playing once before next week's episode, "Clean Break", airs on Wednesday.
It is airing Monday at 12:09am.
Meanwhile, MTV is playing 3-hour long reruns of The Hills, Laguna Beach Season 3, Awkward, and Ridiculousness. I'm not sure MTV could say "we don't care about this show" more than they already have. If we see a Challenge trailer before this season's reunion, it's pretty much been confirmed. I think bad times lie ahead for fans of the Real World.
Are they filming the reunion this week or an aftershow? I notice several of them seem to be in NYC.
Maybe an aftershow, but not the reunion.

Noooo :(
Don't say that!
But I agree, I tweeted MTV and asked why they are playing the Hills on retro tv and not older season of RW.
This makes me sad. They really DON'T care about RW anymore. At least not this season.
I def think though they should start going back to like 1 season a year. I feel like 2 seasons a year is too much and people get tired of the same stuff. If it's like 1 a year, then they'll be more excited when the next season comes out. At least, I think...I would be :p

No wonder it gets no ratings, because its impossible to watch it!
Avoid having a season air in the summer..would be helpful...the last cast I was really into was RW Brooklyn. I haven't really wanted to watch the show that much since then w/the exception of Vegas 2. I only watch St Thomas because there isn't much else on during that time that I want to watch. But, last nights ep was one LONG hour...it was pretty boring. The people seem nice, but something definitely seems off about the show...and it's probably the editing like some of you have said already.
