Does no one remember the scenes from earlier in The Ruins where it was Veronica who was taking care of Tonya? I mean it doesn't make up for her being mean to Tonya before that, but certainly it indicates a change of heart. I find it hard to believe that Veronica, after taking care of Tonya that whole time, would attack her out of the blue without Tonya saying something first.
Hard to believe, but true...
Hard to believe, but true...
Based on what I've seen of Veronica's tv persona it's pretty believable to me. I really felt for Tonya during that whole challenge. The guys were such ******* to her. It seemed like they saw that she had a serious problem and used it for their own amusement, which is pretty disgusting.

I agree, I feel like they're way worse than Veronica, especially considering they have next to no history with her on these shows...

And then they lay the blame for Tonya's melt down COMPLETELY on Veronica and acted as though they were all really sad and never would have let it happen and would have been there for Tonya, when really they were pushing her closer to the edge the ENTIRE time. Believe me, I'm no Wes fan, but for once he actually spoke the truth when they were discussing what happened after.
V1man, was Veronica truly not provoked at all into saying what she did, and just said it out of the blue? (Please understand that this is NOT a solicitation for what was said)

I highly doubt he will be answering that question.
Veronica was so nice to Tonya the entire time on "The Ruins". Tonya needs to let go! Veronica only lashed out back because Tonya kept provoking her and yelling at her for things that happened 5 years ago.
I'm just so darn disgusted that nobody was mature in this situation. Veronica didn't walk away like she should've, the boys just watched it all unfold and didn't do a thing until Tonya and Veronica were on the floor. The effects of bullying last forever, so its not surprising that Tonya was still holding on to all of that anger.

I think Evan honestly thought Veronica deserved to get her *** kicked and that's why he let them go at it.

What's so bad about the question? Again, I didn't ask for what was said; just if she was provoked into saying it or not.
I think Evan honestly thought Veronica deserved to get her *** kicked and that's why he let them go at it.
Right, because Evan is totally blameless, and he's NEVER done ANYTHING shady in his Challenge career. He's so full of himself and tries to act all remorseful when he does something to screw over his "friends," but if he had to do it over he wouldn't change it.

Asked and answered previously...
but, molds13 didn't suggest there was anything bad in your question, but simply suggested, based on knowing me, that she thought I would not talk further about it.
As usual, she is correct.
Someday I may talk about it. Today is not that day. And I definitely will not talk about it unless both Tonya and Veronica agree.

I have no knowledge or opinion as to the Veronica thing (likely because I cannot even remember who she is or what she did with any clarity) but about the only thing I do recall from that Challenge is how poorly Tonya was treated. I get that it is a competition and people like to pysch each other out, but since it was clear Tonya wasn't going to be a threat, there was absolutely no rational justification for the way she was treated--it was pure hateful bullying IMO.

You must be newer to the challenges. Veronica is a legend (pre-Gauntlet 2 era). Not the biggest fan of hers, but she's still a legend.

I wouldn't say SHE is a challenge legend, but that click (Veronica, Rachel, Tina) is legendary. But she's not a legend like Coral or Beth.

Not really, but it is also a show I watch more for updates on some of the RW/RR crowd than for entertainment. I largely find the show forgettable ten minutes after I watch it and don't really bother to keep track of all these people or their season to season stuff the way some do. Nothing personal against those who really get into it, but just not for me. I don't think I have ever watched an entire season from beginning to end. That said, the few things that have stuck with me was how they treated Tonya that one season (I stopped watching that season after that), the Challenge where they had to melt a block of ice with their bodies to get a key, and something where they were racing downhill with giant lampshades on their heads. Beyond that, I would have to struggle to recall much about any of it I have seen other than general stuff.

You're not the only one, the last challenge i've seen from beginning to end was Gauntlet 3. After that, up until Cutthroat, an entire challenge was just unbearable.

Even The Duel 2?
I would definitely consider Veronica a legend in terms of RW/RR. Yes Beth and Coral are probably the two biggest female legends but Veronica definitely is in the top 5, if not the top 3. I guess the way you can look at it is like a movie. Who were the "stars" and who were "supporting". Beth, Veronica, Coral, Katie, Emily, Julie, Rachel, Tonya, Tina, and Trishelle seem like the "stars" of the 1st generation. Supporting for that generation would be people like Montana, Ruthie, Susie, Cara, Amaya, & Holly S.
Veronica's a legend, more than Coral. She had a season AND challenge before Coral. She won 3 challenges (the most out of all the females) and did 6 challenges back to back.
For those who don't know her well, please watch the older challenges. She's the epitome of them.

I wouldnt say Ruthie was a supporting member at all. I also wouldnt really put Julie as the 'star' either (Inferno she featured heavily but didnt really make an impact in the others for me).
Nowadays though its like Ruthie and Susie swapped positions with Susie taking a lead star role in Inferno III and Ruins while Ruthie took a backseat for Duel II.
Veronica and Coral are a tie in terms of legends, but Coral i'm sure(and i don't understand how) has more of a fan base. Veronica came before Coral, but Coral was such a ****** on the challenges, plus she was Mike the Miz(a popular castmember) best friend and ally.

I think Coral has more of a fan base because she is more vocal.
I've just realized that most of lesbians are Challenge drama queens... In the same way I realized that I'm still very big fan of this show and I can't even think about last season but... Whatever they are gonna to do... They will never be that good like in the old school times. I think Gauntlet 2 was the last real Challenge.
Veronica is most certainly a challenge legend. I don't know how anyone can say otherwise. She was one of the biggest stars of the show during its prime (Battle of the Seasons - Gauntlet 2).
You Know one thing I noticed on the early challenges Veronica was on? She really wasn't even shown all that much. Alot of people seemed to hype her up but yet she really wasn't even shown all that much when I came down to it. The only challenges where she was show heavily was the Inferno 1 and 2. She was almost a non-factor in all the other challenges she was on.
Just something I noticed.

She was heavily focused on Challenge 2000 (Veronica vs. Amaya) and near the end of Battle of the Sexes 1 and The Gauntlet. Mid-Season of Battle of the Sexes 1 was basically about Emily vs. Veronica. The Gauntlet (near the end) had Veronica having the 3-some and her team wanting her out but she kept winning the eyesaver.

I don't know, Veronica vs. Emily was probably one of the most major plotlines of BOTSexes 1. The Katie/Veronica rivalry also started on Gauntlet 1. "You're one of the *****es who voted me off!" "Really? Really? Really? Really?" and of course the threesome and her quest to get the lifesaver.

I didn't see Challenge 2000 so I can't comment on that(Although I hear she got closelined by Amaya). And other than the whole Emily thing I don't remember her getting all that much attention on BOTS. She did have that threesome on the Gautlet and the whole Katie thing but other than that she was hardly relevant to that season.
