I think the older Challenges were better because they had a better cast, or the cast members then were not so freaking annoying as they are now. While I have no problem with the concept of Freshmeat, the ones they have chosen are really a mixed bag of mostly freaking lunatic nuts, and the Real Worlders who still come around are just way too hard-core about the money. Sure you can be in it for a money, but there is no need for as much lip as goes on these days. If it has always been that way, then they need better editing; but I don't think it has always been this way.

[SPOILER]I just feel terrible now, because Paula isn't an awful competitor but she just screws herself every time! I also think it's kind of funny because they aren't exactly rivals, but Evelyn has gotten in the way of Paula winning more than once. I'm just glad she isn't with Casey. [/SPOILER]

The first challenge I watched was Battle of the Seasons and the recent challenges don't even compare to the old ones. The casting, drama, editing and missions on the old school challenges are much better than what the newer ones bring.

Pairs I could care less for. I'm hoping they can pull it off better in the future. The 3 team idea was really good and individual is good as well, but I just prefer teams for some reason.

I enjoy teams as well. I would like a concept where half the challenge is in pairs of 2 (even though I dislike pair challenges), and the second half is individual. I also think the 3 team idea was great, but teams of 2 are always great, when done right.

Heh I'm watching one of the last episodes of Duel 1 (3rd to last I think) and now just saw one of the dumbest ways of picking heats and stuff: "Ok CT since you won the last Duel, you get to pick what male gets a bye in the first round" Gee, I wonder who he picked

So according to Mark Long's twitter, "The Aftershow" is returning, but with a new host. He hasn't explicitly said who it is, but the common consensus seems to be that it is Chet.

I can see him hosting an aftershow, although I feel as though Mark is more charismatic and unbiased. Perhaps Mark is too busy for the job.

Though he did say he supports the new aftershow and wants everyone to watch.

Chet hates Cara Maria 'cause he thinks she's fake and over the top with her "gimmick."

They brought back the aftershow a little too late. Chet =/= Blair is what I guess they were looking for.

If it's Chet than that kinda annoys me. He's super biased and always has an opinion about something. I don't see how him hosting will work. But then again I didn't think Kenny would be a good host either.... could it be that they were looking for someone to host thats apart of the "new generation"?

Chet would be good for somethings--just not this. A host the cast doesn't respect presents one set of problems. Chet being a donkey presents another set. It should go to someone older who is out of the competition aged range as they will have more experience to draw from. The only thing that surprises me though is that Mark stuck around as long as he did.

In my opinion Kenny becomes boring. Like... Same jokes and same facts.. Yes, he is smart, yes, he has pretty face, but that's it. For me, he will never be host like Mark. Mark ir Mark, years by years I started really enjoy his shows. Chet is pretty fun guy sometimes. But sometimes it looks like he want to be 'new Evan' and every second to say some joke or funny quote. Not everybody can do this. (again, it's just my opinion) I really would like to see some Challenge legend as a host. Like Coral, CT, Beth, Tina, or even Abe no matter I like them or not. But in the same way, I understand that MTV needs new faces, it's normal. Even if Chet is going to be the host (as I understand it is almost a fact) I don't care 'cauze I'll be happy if it will help for ratings.

Coral would be a great host but i really hope they bring back Blair, he was the best. They can bring back LaLa too, she was really good.
