Probably because they were boring. Diem had the whole "cancer" thing, Kenny had the looks, Evan was a great competitor, Casey was kinda like the "new Katie" in a way, except much worse. I have no idea why Ryan and Eric were asked back so many times though, i guess they needed a gay dude. I guess Eric was kind of interesting.
I actually think Johnny and Chandra could've brought something interesting to the challenges, especially in The Duel. Chandra would've killed, but they brought Casey instead :(
Wow When I read that it just reminded me how boring and uninteresting the Fresh Meat really are.
Well I think old Fresh meat was much more interesting than new one...
In the same way, I'm sure 100% Johnny has been invited fort he next Challenge. He was typical model of Real World what BMP looking for. I think he just refused.
Chanda could be a good choice as well but but someone should have to fall away.
The only FM that ever bothered me was the one they did at Spring Break. That was a pretty ****** turn in the evolution IMO.
You mean the Spring Break Challenge? I highly doubt anyone outside of Camilla will be showing up from that. She was the like MVP or star player or most memorable or something like that at the end of it (some sort of award I think) and that's probably why she was chosen.
Does anyone know about when season 21 of the challenge will air?
No.
People have basic ideas based on the number of episodes remaining in RW: Vegas plus a reunion and possibility of a S#!t they Should've Shown special, but that is assuming that Challenge 21 will air directly after. People also thought that they knew exactly when Cutthroat and RW: Vegas would start and ended up being horribly wrong.
The only people that know are those who work for MTV. If any of them were members here, I highly doubt they would out themselves as an employee.
Unfortunately, all we can do is wait for the press release from MTV.

Perhaps these two could teach the young crew something about drama people really enjoyed watching.

These new kids could NEVER compare to those 2. They really are legends in reality tv! As much as I would love to see them back, I hope they stay away. I'd hate to see them cone back and ruin their legacy by going out early.

Here is what I think.
- Evan was asked back because he was a great new addition to the challenge in terms of athleticism and shadiness.
- Kenny was asked back because he did well on Fresh Meat, had a lot of camera time and he was a decent competitor and could bring some drama.
- Eric was another good choice because he was a bigger guy and was a really chill laid back dude. I'm very glad that he has been on 4 challenges since his debut.
- Ryan was just that dude that they knew would say yes to every challenge he was called for. Plus they needed a guy that would be an early elimination.
- I'm very surprised that Johnnie was never called back for a challenge. He would've been great for drama in future challenges.
- Jesse, half the time I forgot he was on the challenge. That's probably why he's never been called back.
- Chanda, same as Jesse.
- I'm surprised that Diem was on The Duel, I knew she'd be back on a challenge, but not so quick. Shame that she hasn't won a challenge yet.
- Casey, same as second part of Ryan.
- Ev, same as Evan.
- I'm glad Linette was never called back to a challenge. She would've never survived because she took everything too personally, plus she was annoying as ****.
- Aviv, surprised she was never called back. She could've done some cool stuff.
- I'm glad Linette was never called back to a challenge. She would've never survived because she took everything too personally, plus she was annoying as ****.
I personally think Linette was never asked back because MTV decided to look into what her real age actually was since she looked and behaved like a 14 year old girl
Linette > Diem
That's all I got.
Well actually, Linette > all of FM1. But I only said Diem because it was the two of them that had it out for each other or whatever.
Does anyone know about when season 21 of the challenge will air?
I don't visit the challenge thread due to the spoilers so I've been wondering this too. It usually airs after the Real World so I would guess it would be some time in June. I could be completely wrong though.
As a viewer that discovered the The Real World and RW/RR Challenges later into their "lifetime". I started to watch the previous Challenges and I've been pleasantly surprised. I actually enjoy them more than the newer ones. Coral, Veronica, Mike "The Miz", and Katie would have to be my favorites. Watching these make me sad about what the Challenges have become.

Trying to improve on a response molds13 gave above (#8687) is probably not particularly productive. :pardon:
I was wondering. Who from the old challenges would you compare to the new challengers like competition wise. I'd say Jenn is like Coral because she is kind of a loud mouth is never that great when competing never does much to get to the finals and just knows everybody. But what about other people?

This is too soon to say and not a challenge but Tonya and Cooke (Las Vegas) for many many reasons. Tonya from Inferno 2 mainly.
competition wise:
Laterrian and Danny (Austin)
Melissa (NO) and Casey
Ruthie and Ev

Oh Boy....This isn't going to end well for you. lol
That's not what I'm saying. I'm comparing the way the play the game.
I know, but almost every challenge Coral has been in, she ran her team imo. Jenn has never ran anything on her challenges. Sure she's all talk but Coral didn't just talk. She intimidated people and she managed to be the last girl standing on two challenges when she wasn't even the best one lol
And she didn't do by just sitting back being quiet like Jenn did on Cutthroat, she did in her own Coral like way :P

Melissa >>>>>>>>> Casey
After Cutthroat ended, my obsession was fully focused on SCRE4M, now that the SCRE4M phase is over, CHALLENGE 21 ! I'm so excited. Can't wait for the information/news that will most likely arrive next month.
So what was the very 1st challenge you watched?
For me it was the Extreme Challenge. The last Challenge they did the 6 vs 6 format.
Is that the one with Michelle on it?Cause the one with her on it was my first one.
Is that the one with Michelle on it?Cause the one with her on it was my first one.
Yep that's it. Michelle from Europe was on that Challenge.
Battle of the Sexes 2 was my first challenge and The Real World San Diego was my first as well. Oh and X-treme was my first Road Rules. Well that makes sense lol
Battle of the Sexes 1 was my first challenge. Real World: Philadelphia was my first Real World and Road Rules X-Treme was my first Road Rules.
Yes, I watched a challenge before watching any Real World/Road Rules so I had no idea who these people were.

First challenge for me was cutthroat lol, I always thought these shows were horrible and never gave it a chance. The only reason I started watching cuttroat was because Bill Simmons did that fantasy draft and hearing them talking about it gave me interest to the show. Since then I've seen like 6 or so old challenges, so I'm into it, not any road rules though.
