Just because the seasons had good ratings doesn't mean the individual cast members are entertaining or interesting themselves. Cancun had some crazy drama yet Emilee, Ayiiia, and Derek made little to no impact on their first challenge. And CJ was pretty much invisible on FM2.
I know this is unpopular, but I would love to see a cast of people only from Hollywood (or Sydney)-LV2. It would sort of feel like an older challenge in the sense that the cast would be fresh (by Challenge standards) and there would be no obvious winners/alliances. Everybody else has had their challenge glory.
I know it won't happen, but still. I'm still bummed about the newest challenge theme for the simple fact that I would love to see the New Orleans cast on the challenge. Oh well.

I doubt it, since the best competitors probably came from Road Rules, maybe they just ddin't have enough rivalries.. Or maybe since RR ended a while ago, and they really need good ratings for this season they figured they'd use people mostly from Real World, since those are still being filmed.
Either way, there was no official statement on this as far as i can remember.

I don't think so, but at the same time, the most recent RR season was four years ago. We can't expect RR people to come back just because BMP needs more RR'ers.

I think for this specific challenge, it was hard to cast Road Rulers, because they needed to follow a theme, which is Rivals. How many rivalries can you name where both parties would legitimately do another challenge.
- I remember Dan and Dave from the Island, however, I don't think Dave had much interest in doing another challenge.
- Darrell doesn't have a rivalry that stands out very much, nor does Derrick.
- I think Beth and Tina would've worked, or Veronica and Tonya. But I don't think any of those 4 would do another challenge either.
- Every other RR cast member stopped doing challenges a while ago or don't have a very good outstanding rivalry with someone.

Katie,Derrick,and Jenn. S/N I really only give the challenges one more season,Im not even gonna blame FM anymore most of the current RW have no substance like older seasons and since most older castmembers are over it ,Its just going to keep downhill better to shoot the horse when it's down.

Huh? Timmy respected Chadwick as a competitor, he saw him as probably Road Rules best competitor on Battle of the Seasons and didn't want to get rid of him. It took him quite some time to finally agree with Emily on voting out Chadwick and Piggy and it didn't sit well with him at all. Timmy is latter seen giving Chadwick a pat on the back after the vote off with a sad look on his face so i don't think there was any harsh feelings with Chadwick towards Timmy, it was Emily.

I would had LOVED to see Veronica and Katie paired together for Rivals. I'm kind of a Katie Doyle fanatic and the drama she inevitably brings. Same goes for Veronica. A Tina and Tonya rivalry would be good to watch, too. *sigh* I love the RR girls.
So I am downloading the newest derrick kosinski podcast, and the description says Kenny Santucci retirement. I feel this is somewhat significant considering he has the most finals apperances and up there in wins with 3(before Rivals maybe four possibly?).
Meaning this upcoming rivals challenge will be his last?
Personally its kinda like Favre(relativly obviously), I won't believe it till hes been gone for awhile.

Part of me hopes this isn't the last challenge. I was thinking it'd be cool if BMP/MTV pulled a Nola2/Vegas2 and have another Inferno and Gauntlet Seasons but instead of calling them 4/IV they just name them 2011 or 2012 if that makes sense.

Male Champion: Syrus, just too old and out of shape.
Female Champion: Ibis, I don't think she's a good competitor.
Male challenger: Danny, I like him on the challenges but he's like 0-6 in elimination rounds and just needs to lighten up a bit on these things.

Female Champ: Johanna, partly because I don't like her, and then also because she's never done anything great on these. Ibis and Katie at least did Road Rules, and have killed in elimination rounds (Katie, LOVE HER)

Id say no, the only thing that went in the favor of the Gauntlet 3 teams and what stopped them from losing 'as much' as they did was that the Vets were out to throw some missons plus there were a lot more challenges where one dud couldnt destroy a whole mission (bar Big Easy in the final)

For Challengers-
Male-Nike-Just isn't very strong, and doesn't seem to have any strengths expect speed.
Female-[B]Casey[/B]-No need to explain i hope...but just for the sake of it, pretty much like Danny, she's good at pretty much NOTHING. Shauvon even would stand a better chance at winning an elimination round or some mission than her, for sure.
For Champions-
Male[B]-Syrus[/B]- Old school dog, average competitor at best, still had a lot left in him, but didn't compare with teammates Darrell, Evan, Wes, Derrick, Johnny, and Kenny.
Female-[B]Ibis[/B]-Has never really stood out on her 3 challenges expect when she smoked Derrick on the eating mission on BOTS 2. She is not athletic, and she doesn't seem to mentally strong either. Katie(yes) and Johanna definitely had more to offer than her.

Guys- Nick, he's only been on 2 challenges and lasted 3 episodes total. I can't see him doing anything better than Danny (who everyone else has said is the weakest). I think that Danny would beat Nick at probably any elimination round that season.
Girls- Shauvon. She has 3 challenges and her season of the RW. She has quit 3 times and went home first on her only show that she didn't cowardly fold on.
