I think Mark is a very over rated player. I never got the big hype around him
Mark is the best Road Rules competitor all time, the "First Road Ruler". He posted the highest score on BOTS 1(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_World/Road_Rules_Challenge:_Battle_of_the_Sexes), making it to the final three and obviously being the top male. He once again made it to the end on the BOTS 2, but sacrificed himself for the team and giving his good friend Eric a shot at winning, which didn't sit well with Theo who called Mark a "Kingpin", and would of rather had him in the final mission. On the Gauntlet 2, voting him into the Gauntlet wasn't even considered an option by the team, as he was the number one vet of the men and was the strongest male, even more so than Timmy and Derrick. He had GREAT physically strength(on his season of Road Rules it was said he could bench press 315, and he was able to throw a dodgeball at 50 MPH on "Extreme Dodgeball"), and he was consistant at performaning well. Lastly, he was 37(past his prime) on the Duel 2, and still was one of the top two competitors(second only to landon who is much younger and was in the best shape of his life). He outperformed Evan in all the physical missions. Mark in his prime(first challenge to BOTS 1) was better overall than any male competitor expect for maybe CT.

2) Susie is loved by production. They said that the executive producer threatened Johnny, Kenny, Evan, and Derrick that if they threw a mission they wouldn't be invited back.
I doubt it was based on loving Susie in particular. A lot of female viewers were put off by the seasons that emphasized "trimming the fat," which most often meant getting rid of as many females as possible. If the Champion team had cut their last remaining female teammate, and then crushed the two remaining females on the Challenger team, it would have alienated a lot of female viewers. That's just my interpretation, but it seems like a much stronger motivation for the executive producer to intervene than simply liking a particular cast member.
What do you guys think was the best elimination round of all time?
To me it's close between Abram vs Brad (Inferno 2) and Wes vs Derrick (The Duel). I would give the slight edge to Abe vs Brad, that was slightly more intense.
I'm not sure about the BEST of all time, but some that I consider significant to the challenge "world" that play a role as a defining elimination:
Sarah vs. David/Rachel/Trishelle/Matt/Irulan
Katie vs. David
Abram vs. Brad
Beth vs. Ruthie
Kina vs. Jillian
Derrick vs. Ace/Adam/Brad/Syrus
Derrick vs. Wes
Derrick vs. Davis (underrated in my eyes)
Abram vs. Timmy
Jillian vs. Angel (because Angel was looked at as extremely weak but she did really well)
Jenn vs. Kimberly (to me, it marked the point where I started believing Jenn was a top female competitor)
KellyAnne vs. Evelyn (while I don't agree with losing on purpose, for the reason's Ev did so I support her for)
Cohutta vs. Wes
Johnny vs. Dunbar
Brandon vs. Derek/JD/Ty/Derrick
Emily vs. Paula
Tyler vs. Derrick
Maybe not the best, but here are my favorites:
-Coral v. Tina: Loved the death stare from Coral.
-All of Sarah's gauntlets: Especially v. Irulan. Gauntlet Queen!
-Katie's Infernos: Classic Katie right here. My favorite is her Inferno v. Julie.
-Kendal v. Leah: Kendal arguing with Mike, Leah arguing with CT, naked David jumping outta nowhere, Katie saying she'd rather eat **** than touch Veronica. Great stuff!
-Tina v. Robin: I've always disliked Robin and always loved Tina, so yeah.
-Veronica v. Jodi: Loved Veronica's focus in this Inferno. I truly believe she was afraid of facing Jodi/going in the Inferno, but when it came down to it she stepped it up and won.
-Abram v. Brad: See Tina v. Robin. Tina=Abram; Robin=Brad. Pretty intense Inferno.
-All of Derrick's gauntlets: My heart broke when he lost the last one.
-Alton v. Danny: Absolutely hilarious how Alton just tapped his back and he flew out the ring.
-Beth v. Ruthie: Love Ruthie to death, but the Veterans made a horrible decision in throwing Beth in. They got what they deserved. Beth's reign as Team Captain begins!
-Beth v. Montana: Montana talked so much smack only to get dragged worse than Ruthie. Karma's a *****, and you got yours!
-Kina v. Cara: Cat fight, pretty funny.
-Kina v. Jillian: I must say, I was very disappointed in Jillian here. She let Kina ram her non-stop. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it.
-Aneesa v. Paula [D1]: Ahh... Back when Paula was tolerable. She put up a good fight.
-Svetlana v. Beth: We all know this was complete BS. But watching Beth rout her and make her cry was brilliant.
-Wes v. Derrick: Hard-fought, intense, brutal.
-Aneesa v. Robin: I wish Aneesa had pounded her that night she was drunk.
-Svetlana v. Kina: Watching Kina fly around hanging over the pole was simply divine.
-Abram v. Timmy: It sucks that Timmy's knees got banged up by this Inferno, but I loved the concept. Smashing your way out of a glass box with a steel ring? Awesome!
-Frank v. MJ: Brains over brawn.
-Aneesa v. Shavoun: Hilarious how they were smacking and choking each other.
-Aneesa v. Tori: I thought she was gonna lose this one, but my girl pulled through!
-CT v. Johnny: Don't really need to explain this one.
I don't really remember any from The Ruins. I need to re-watch that season.
Favorite Eliminations:
Gauntlet: Mike vs. Abe, Sarah vs. Irulan
Inferno: Katie vs. David
Inferno 2: Brad vs. Abe
Gauntlet 2: Derrick's loss to Timmy, Beth vs. Ruthie
Freshmeat: Tina & Kenny vs. Theo & Chanda, Derrick & Diem vs. Darrell & Aviv
The Duel: Brad vs. CT, Derrick vs. Wes, Svetlana vs. Aneesa
Inferno 3: Jenn vs. Susie, Paula vs. Aneesa
Gauntlet 3: Beth vs. Coral
The Duel 2: Brad vs. Landon
The Ruins: Ev vs. KellyAnne
Freshmeat 2: Ev & Luke vs. Paula & Jeff
Cutthroat: Brandon's gulags
Is that Challenge facts guy on vevmo? I think he should show Derrick this site, and revolve the votes of the Challenge Fall of Fame from it's fan base, us. With a reasonable criteria.

Derrick is aware of vevmo.
Quite separately, in my opinion the idea of a challenge hall of fame is laughable from start to finish.

I don't know, I never saw Jenn as a top competitor. IMO, she's ok, she reminds me of Coral actually, (and I like Coral more), but she has a lot of mouth, however I don't think she's an amazing competitor.

It's giving viewers input on the show and Derrick's supporting the guy, so what's wrong with it?

To put is in simple terms, the very juxtaposition of reality TV and fame is laughable. If you don't get that, you are a victim of vast wasteland of contemporary American culture.

Your opinion. If I choose to view it as something harmless to pass the time, that's my opinion. It comes off as tongue-in-cheek, they're all having fun with it and it's not something to get bothered about. It's not official. It's just a few of the cast and a guy on a podcast. I do think American culture or its lack of culture is laughable, but I also think people take **** way too seriously sometimes.

Very true, they were having fun. It's understandable for them to create one because they know lots of the competitors and stuff so it's kinda like friends just comparing themselves. Not meant to be serious
Does anybody think the challenges will ever come to an end? I know this question has been discussed before in this thread, but I don't want to search through 1,000 pages. I think MTV can't stop the challenge series due to a heavy loss of viewers, but I do think there will come a huge delay in a challenge airing.

I agree with everything you said. I mean Jenn took out Kim. Okay, that's a nice win, but other than that she hasn't really done anything. She beat Colie and Rachel in the inferno, which I don't think really earns her any credibility. She lost to Susie, and also to Diem in the D2. On F2 she was paired with Noor, probably the best athlete on there (although one could argue Landon is better of course) and still didn't really do anything. I don't really understand why Emily had to go into 2 gulags while Jenn didn't go into any. I much rather have Emily with me in the end than Jenn.

Probably because Emily said that Jenn and Rachel were her two favorites when she started watching the shows and went on because of them. She was not voting Jenn it at all.
That's interesting, when did she say that? And was she talking about Campus Crawl, San Francisco, or Austin Rachel?
Campus Crawl Rachel. She said it on Derrick's podcast interview.
Probably because Emily said that Jenn and Rachel were her two favorites when she started watching the shows and went on because of them. She was not voting Jenn it at all.
In the words of Peter Griffin: That is AWESOME.
I think I just grew to love Emily even more.

Now that's loyalty.

Some interesting stuff that was said though:
1) They said (and seemed pretty sure) that CT and Wes were both juicing
Just catching up with the Hall of Fame podcast. Derrick said that CT actually admitted to juicing. It starts at 57:25. I wonder if he admitted to it in the podcast he did with Derrick right after the Cut Throat finale. Derrick seems to be holding it back. It looks like they will be releasing the Katie and Abe podcasts first. The CT one must be good.

To me it sounded like everyone on that podcast was a little bit jelous of CT. They were finding every posiible thing they could think of to say why CT shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame when in reality, he SHOULD be and the fans who voted even said he should.

Why would they be jealous ?? CT's got 0 Challenge wins !! Not to mention CT's been sent home twice for beating people up and eliminated in a horrible way .... a DQ, I highly doubt their jealous.

Because they know that when people think of the strongest challengers CT is thought of way before any of them. To be honest, having Mark on this list is a little odd. He's never even been in an elimination round. Nobody would have even thought of him if he hadn't done The Duel 2.

Mark is the "first" Road Ruler or whatever he calls himself. Just like in a sport, the first ever player for whatever sport wasn't the best but he was the first so he's probably in the Hall of Fame because of it. As for CT.... he is the strongest, but maybe he's not the best in other areas of Challenge HOF criteria, whatever the heck that may be... rofl
But here's where the debate gets tricky, I think CT takes himself out of the debate if he really did admit to juicing like Derrick said. I don't recall CT admitting to using steroids so it must be in the podcast that Derrick is delaying the release of. Don't know why CT would admit to it unless he knows he won't be back and wants to come clean.
