Brad is a much better competitor than Johnny as he has a way better track record. That is a fact. Brad's track record: -Made it really far on his first challenge the BOTS 2, which was a hard challenge, and should of made it further than Eric, who only made it to the end because of his alliance with Dan and Mark. -On the Duel 1, he defeated CT in the Roller Derby mission , defeated Eric and made it far. -On the Gauntlet 3, he made it to the final mission, while Johnny didn't. -On the Duel 2, he defeated MJ and Landon back to back and was seconds from winning the final. Johnny's track record: -Performed well on the Inferno 3 and won 2 lifesavers -Defeated Cohutta in a face off along with Derrick(though Derrick was helping Johnny) -Defeated Dunbar on the Ruins You see, Brad is much better than Johnny.
I've said before, probably on too many occasions, that so and so are better than what-his-face, but now I'm taking my view back on any of the situations. I'm not going to view anyone better than someone unless they have gone head to head in an elimination round, so until Brad and Johnny go head to head they are equal in my book. And I know it's been said many a times, but if I wanted to say that Danny is a great competitor I could. Just because there are facts doesn't mean someone has to agree with them. Even with facts it's hard to change someone's opinion of someone.
Btw Superboy comparing the Challenges of old to the current ones is kinda pointless, the older Challenges were bit more fun (ice cream eating, going up a hill dressed as a sumo, catching meat with a bucket on your head, packing a car full of luggage) compared to the current ones. Back then out of 16 challenges, about 8 were hardcore and the rest were fun, on current challenges its more hardcore with a fun one thrown into the mix. Since Justin Booth came along Challenges concentrate more on athletics than they used too. Its like comparing the NBA without a shotclock and 3 point line, with the NBA with a shotclock and 3 point line, it is vastly different. But hey you are close minded in your views and arguing with you is pointless.
I agree completely. And even those physical challenges didn't seem as physically demanding as the ones they have today, so I wouldn't exactly call them hardcore and I would say about 3 were hardcore while the others were just mediocre. But I do completely see where you are coming from.
Actually I said that and I backed it up with proof of Evan winning and Kenny winning when they didn't have each other. Johnny didn't do that yet. When he did and proves himself a great competitor, I'd admit that, until then, I'm just stating facts. Oh, and to me, Johnny didn't even stand out in the challenges where he had his friends. I can't remember what he did on the Ruins honestly, except take out Dunbar.
Well, it was pretty hard for anyone to stand out on the Ruins because A) the Champions were totally stacked and B) they won almost every mission pretty easily.
Again, Brad, Abram and Derrick were the only top competitors there. Johnny did do fairly well in the missions, and can hold his own in missions in general, but there were still PLENTY of better competitors than him. Brad is a much better competitor than Johnny as he has a way better track record. That is a fact. Brad's track record: -On the Gauntlet 3, he made it to the final mission, while Johnny didn't. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Johnny's track record: -Defeated Cohutta in a face off along with Derrick(though Derrick was helping Johnny) You see, Brad is much better than Johnny.
I'm inclined to defend Johnny b/c I like the guy, but I'm not willing to call him better than Brad yet. I personally still think Brad is vastly overrated and was pretty clearly out-shined by Johnny, Derrick, Abram, and Tyler on Cutthroat. I wouldn't expect a "top competitor" to be ****ting in his pants to go 1 v 1 in a non-elimination round like Brad was. However I have a few issues with your list. 1) Derrick didn't help Johnny on his Island face-off. It was the one where they were in cages. If by helped you mean went in so that there weren't two anti-Johnny people there? Then, maybe. But he didn't throw it for Johnny and he did nothing to slow Cohutta down. 2) The thing with Gauntlet III was bs. The veteran males were so stacked that no one really outperformed anyone else three episodes in (which is when Johnny was eliminated). It was a matter of CT, Brad, and Eric being able to bark louder than Johnny on who to feed to Evan. I'd bet if they knew it would be Sliders they would've IMMEDIATELY sent Easy in. Brad was in no way a superstar on G3, and I really don't think he has been a superstar on any other challenge besides Duel 2 and BOTS2.
Ahahahahahah
Priceless. I want to send one to Johnny as a Christmas present.
You do have to admit though, Johnny would have 0 wins most likely if it wasn't for The Island. By this I mean that The Island was by far one of the worst seasons based on the premise of it and the people on it (and you can't leave out how he only made it past episode 2 because Abe had to leave). The entire show was just Ev and Johnny being *******s. He wins that and gets on the Champions team on The Ruins, and obviously wins that too. I'm not bashing the guy, but I think his two wins were both kind of lame. Then again, he out-performed Alton on a lot of I3 so he is good. It's just that his wins weren't really the best. Sort of on the topic of The Ruins, was it me or was this just a concept that would have been GREAT like right after the first Duel or around that time? I mean after that, Derrick, Kenny, Johnny, and Evan all won and CT wasn't coming back any time soon. If anything, doing it after I3 at least would have made fair teams.
Hey who's Justin Booth? Is he the guy that's making the Challenges "less fun" according to you older members?

Here's a fun fact. People that had to be blurred out due to nudity. (Including girls that were topless). This list is for the people that KNEW they were being filmed while nude and not accidentally. Jake- battle of the sexes 1 Blair- battle of the sexes 1 Shane- battle of the sexes 1 Eric- battle of the sexes 1 Aneesa- battle of the sexes 1 Veronica- gauntlet 1 Rachel- gauntlet 1 Abram- gauntlet 1 David- inferno 1 Tonya- battle of the sexes 2 Jodi- inferno 2 Danny- gauntlet 2 Tina- fresh meat Ct- duel Casey- gauntlet 3 Johnny- gauntlet 3 Ryan- gauntlet 3 Paula- island Kellyanne- island Ryan- island Dan- island Landon- duel 2 Casey- ruins Adam- ruins Luke- fresh meat 2 Laurel- cutthroat Paula- cutthroat Dan- cutthroat Luke- cutthroat Missing any?
I think Ashli got blurred out on The Island. That's just from memory, though.
I think Kellyanne also got blurred out on the Ruins, not just the Island.
The sponsor is Under Armor. The "H" is actually a U and an A.
Thanks a lot, anyone else got so addicted by challenge theme songs? I've tried to search for freshmeat2 theme everywhere but couldnt find...

Flora and Josh from Battle of the Seasons. Katie on Gauntlet 2, during Mark's party.
i just read the blog of challengefacts (twitter) and i am surprised that he is the first one to comment on how tasteless this gas-chamber mission was. since i am from germany, sending people in to a gas chamber leaves kind of a bad taste in my mouth, although i enjoyed this challenge on the other hand. those gulags in general were sovjet-concentration camps (though they were not built to the solely purpose to kill people like the german concentration camps) where thousands of people died of exhaustion and more than bad living conditions and i am not sure if it was the best way to name it like this. as you might see, if this elemination rounds were called "KZ" or "Abhu Ghuraib" everyone would have commented on that for sure, because everyone knows about what happened in them. but since "gulag" may be not as familiar to some and especially american viewers, they might thought it would be okay. and it is funny how it was all mixed up since the czech republic has in reality nothing to do with gulags because its origin is in russia and other than being part of the udssr the czechs had nothing to do with gulags. why not go to moscow or siberia? ;) i have been to prague several times and it is mostly known for its historical (the defenestration of prague) and cultural facts (for example franz kafka was a german living in prague), and it is a shame to mix up such different cultures only based on the "eastern-europe-thing". that would be like having a spanish bullfight in berlin, germany...;) i know i am a little bit exaggerating but i hope you all get my point. nonetheless, although gulags had no actual "gas-chambers" they were working camps to torture their prisoners and were used to torture everyone that was not "worthy" or a "thread" to the sovjet regime. i know it might be not a fun topic but it was in my mind for some months now and i would be interested in your opinion about naming the elimination rounds like this or maybe questioning the whole theme from a historical point. oh and sorry for my bad english it is obviously not my first language...;)
Schnin: Although English may not be your first language, you quite rightly point out the complete lack of cultural sensitivity demonstrated both by BMP and MTV, which as nearly iconic symbols themselves steadfast within the liberal fringe of American culture, they normally champion. I expect the US fan base writ large is no less guilty than BMP & MTV of insensitivity to the historical significance of "gulag" or the monumental inappropriateness of watching a challenge related to a gas chamber for human "prisoners" only 225 miles from Auschwitz. Some years ago I toured both Auschwitz-Birkenau and Dachau with a good friend, a German Air Force officer, who also happens to be Jewish; thus, none of the historical significance of the oppression of the helpless and innocent should have been lost on me. I thank you for reminding me to pay attention and give a ****.

schnin: I am also European and I thought the same. I couldn't believe they actually had a gas-chamber mission. Would they ever have a 9/11 or a Pearl Harbour mission? I don't think so.
Thanks a lot, anyone else got so addicted by challenge theme songs? I've tried to search for freshmeat2 theme everywhere but couldnt find...
It's not an actual song. I read somewhere that it was made specifically for FM2. So no 2-4 minute song actually exists, it's just as long as the opening credits thing is.

I honestly didn't pay too much attention to the challenge, but now hearing people speak about it and thinking back, the challenge was disgusting. I am Jewish and my ancestors perished in Gas chambers, and for MTV/BMP to use it so nonchalantly is sick. I opted out visting Concentration Camps in Germany and Poland because it was too hard. But I wanted to thank schnin and V1 to bringing the challenge to my attention.
The funniest and cheesiest sponsor was the orbitz gum one.
Hey, you just got the **** kicked out of you, ran through the mud, looked for giraffes and busted your *****. Here, have some Orbit gum. TJ handing it out made it hilarious.
It would have been even better if it were offered on Gauntlet 2 after the Ice Cream eating mission...
I'd have loved to have seen the reaction to that one. "I just ate vomit ice cream! **** you and your Orbit gum!"
