Big Brother 11: Rumors & Spoilers
It is time to get a spoiler thread started for Big Brother 11! I found this at reality fan forum. It is just a rumor, but it sounds interesting. ;)
First official rumour was posted tonight. Someone at jokers posted this anonymously: Quote I only feel comfortable posting anonymously, so this forum was my only option. Sorry. The same source who revealed to me the twist of BB 9 and the theme of the BB 10 house has given me a little information about the twist for BB 11. I don't know how accurate this information is, but I can tell you that this source has been very reliable in the past. From what I was told, there will be a twist for BB 11 and it involves intruders. The intruders arent celebrities, but they WONT be strangers to some of the houseguests. Apparently this idea was taken from one of the internal versions of the show. Australia I think. Thats all I have . . . . .
This makes sense. If there are only going to be 10 houseguests (to start) then you would think they would have to add cast as the season progressed in order to be able to do all the things they like to do that make a season interesting (such as double eliminations.) The thing is, if you just add random people they are probably going to be heading right back out the door. However, if you add people that have a connection to someone in the house you start changing up alliances and creating new dynamics. I'd call this plausible and I am hopeful that it is indeed the case.
Soudns like a good idea on its face and I know it has worked well in foreign versions, but with the way Grodner will implement it, who the hell knows!
Amazing idea!!! I hope the idea that Bacchus said is true..
No that sucks. THe houseguests will immediatley know something is up i f there is 10 of them. And since this only airs once a year a normal size cast of 14 would be great. All of the other ones that had 12 or 13 went by way too fast.
It is kind of disappointing to see that it could be a short season and that only 10 houseguests will be there instead of 14. But there is hope I see and it could turn out to be good before it is all said and done. I hope they do add onto the cast but whey do they keep trying to tinker with the format? Seasons before BB9 were successful and it just seems like if they just returned to that they could get the show back to form possibly
Thanks for the info Phoenix. B made a lot of sense in his post. I like that they may have connections to the existing cast.
Thanks for the info Phoenix. B made a lot of sense in his post. Now if only they don't mess it up lol
Yeah it would be awesome....that can alter any game plan instantly when someone you have a connection with walks in. Now if only they don't mess it up lol
Really. They have a great opportunity, and hopefully they execute it well.
Really. They have a great opportunity, and hopefully they execute it well.
As much as I am unsure with them tampering with the format...it could very well turn out to be great. If they execute it poorly then it might not be very good for an already hurting show. I have faith though this season will turn out good.
I found this at jokersupdates.com.
I live in the LA area and my brother works for security on the BB lot. I decided I'd venture into the lot and see if I could get any info from the construction workers, etc. I met this one guy and I told him I worked as an intern for CBS. He did not believe me, but his friend walked by as I was leaving and sarcastically said "who's idea was it to build a second %#@^ing house this year?". I said "WAIT A SECOND HOUSE!?" and the guy goes "Yeah. An exact freaking replica". Interested, I walked around the lot and asked everyone I could about the new season. I talked with a woman who claimed to be close to the show. She explained that this year, there are apparently two houses with 12 people in each. They both think they're in the original (and only) house. The idea is that it's a battle of the houses. Each week, one person from each house is evicted. And at the end, America decides which of the two winners (one winner in each house) gets to keep the money. I didn't believe this woman at first, but with the construction worker saying the whole building another house thing... it just might be true.
Now THAT is a twist.
Another house?! That is freaking awesome!!!
Will the houseguest ever get to meet eachother?
I would assume not Gamer, because the point is that each house is oblivious to ther other. My question is: how would they film it equally? That is a lot of people and things to focus on.
If that is indeed true then it would be a cast boom at 24 and very interesting twist as in they are both working toward the same thing but have no knowledge of each other. I'd also assume that with so many HGs to begin with they will just focus on major points within each house such as HOH, POV, major drama or alliances, etc. The feeds should run in both houses with an option to watch either or. If it is indeed true that is.
GW but that is what kind of sucks. I have no problem watching major points, but Big Brother has always had some interesting feel because it was constantly watching them.
Well I assume that there would be cameras all over both houses and in a sense BB will always be watching them. But while maybe the feeds won't effected, as they could run them on both and we can get to see all the HGs...the episodes will definitely be effected. Though it does cost CBS a nice amount of money I think to run just one house....so it makes me wonder if it is true.
I found this at jokersupdates.com.
There are a bunch of posts at jokers discrediting this. Simply from a cost and production standpoint, CBS is not in a position at present to devote such resources to this show. This is the same company which just axed House Calls because 1) no advertisers, 2) no audience, and 3) cost.

But if you listen to Richard Donato 33% of the TV audience tuned in when he was on House Calls. Could Richard Donato be completely deluded and self congragulatory? No...I refuse to believe it. :wacko2:
I hope they have online feed from cbs.com like they had last season.

The production costs alone would make CBS cry and add the fact they have to supply water/food/electricity to the HGs....it adds up. So I think we'll just see 12 HGs (at the beginning I assume).
Yeah, I didn't think it was going to happen either. Will anybody be getting the Live Feeds this year? I probably will since I didn't get them last year. I am not trying to stay spoiler free this season. :)

Hopefully this will be an interesting year on the feeds.
1 month left till the premeire!!!
If there is 12 to begin with they could possibly bring in more to lift that to 14 or 16 with the twist Bacchus talked about. And yes it is only a month...well less than a month now until the premiere. It creates alot of it's own hype with it being so far inbetween seasons. Which might give me false hope but it could be a good season I think.

Hopefully there is more than 12 cause I dont want this to be a shorten season.
True but in the past they have put a certain amount of pics up but then had more once the cast was announced.
RealPlayer has made some really interesting changes to the live feeds... One new feature is going to be called "Flashback" or "Time Machine." Let's say you're at work and come home to find that some major drama went down while you were gone. Rather than scouring YouTube for hours in search of clips, all you have to do is select a time/date and this feature will allow you to watch back what you missed. Very convenient. Also, the presentation of cameras has been changed. Rather than having buttons marked 1, 2, 3 and 4 for each of the different cameras, RealPlayer will feature a thumbnail sized video of what's actually streaming on each feed in place of the buttons, allowing viewers to see what's happening in each room before deciding which camera to watch. This new feature is essentially a new and improved version of the Quad Cam. The Quad Cam is still available for anyone who prefers it, but as usual, the audio from all four feeds will bleed together, making it difficult to listen. RealPlayer will also be featuring videos of the most important moments of the season to make sure we don't miss anything. These videos will be available at all times and new videos will be posted with each new game development. More changes are likely to be revealed soon... 12 is the original number from Big Brother 2 and 3. Im fine with it. Cast size doesnt matter as long as all 12 of them are awesome.
