The earliest posts in this thread were from weeks ago. Most recently the assumption has been that this challenge is most likely NOT a pairs challenge.

I was starting to think that the remaining cast had been put on some kind of gag order. Glad to see a few teams turning up finally!

IMO Laurel's twitter dig was unnecessary and an attempt to get attention and start something...but on to the eliminations.. Looking at the list, the teams I guessed to be the strongest are still there. I picked Johnny and Camilla, Ct and Diem, and Abram and Cara Maria to be strong threats. Robin lucked out having Mark with her this time too.

I just haven't been able to logically narrow down how the teams might be drawn to maximize drama. Whether your other was on your team or the other team would only guarantee drama depending on whether it was a current or former relationship.

So I'm not sure if it was determined yet or not, are there for sure 14 pairs or did they just go with 13 pairs after Nany and Adam R were not able to go? If there are 14 pairs they could still go with teams with hookups being together on teams and then each team would put a pair into the elimination round. Losing pair goes home. That could also explain why Leroy goes home early. Maybe his team finally decided after a couple of eliminations that Naomi was hindering them more than Leroy was helping them. The twist then could be before the final challenge after the last elimination they could announce the final challenge is strictly pairs competing against one another...so all that hard work to create a dominate team with trim the fat turns into more competition for the pairs in the final challenge...sorry if this was too much speculation.

Rachel & Aneesa can't be a pair, it wouldn't be fair i think they had guy partners(though both r lebsian)

The final can be made of 2, 3 or even 4 pairs. The orginal Duel had 2 people from each sex. The Duel II had 3 people of each sex and the last challenge, Rivals, which had a similar format to this one (team pairs) had a final 4. Also, Johnny plays the social game inside and outside the challenge. And although most people dislike him, he does well in these challenges.

It was wishful thinking. I wonder if there are only 13 couples and this will be an individual challenge?

I heard that Sauron, the Ruler of the Desolate Lands of Mordor was signed on to cast. He should make some waves this season, not just in the drama department, but as a competitor as well. He stands at a tall 8 feet, 11 inches (9 feet on a good day). Sauron also wields the Ring of Power which, given how lenient BMP has been on the issue of performance enhancing drugs, is totally within the rules. Competition aside, Sauron totally stacks up as a rating booster because of the drama he brings to the table. Like CT, he's got a short temper and there's the ever present possibility that he will beat somebody to death with his large, black mace. Can you say, "closed casket funeral"?! Wes better not be up to his old tricks because his hair won't be the only red coming out of him! Har har har. And of course we all know Sauron's history with Johnny Bananas. Remember that episode of Key West when stuck Sauron's hand in warm water in an effort to inspire involuntary urination whilst the Dark Lord slept? Classic! God deliver the souls of the three cameramen who perished in the ensuing rampage, Amen. Sparks are sure to fly between Sauron and Cara Maria! Little known fact: before Cara Maria made her debut on Fresh Meat II, she was dating Sauron! It'll be interesting to see how Abram chooses to react. Some speculate that Sauron may still have lingering feelings after the break up, which was supposedly mutual. This fan of the show thinks that the All Seeing Eye will be fixed on Cara Maria's outstanding *** for the better part of the Challenge! Ho ho ho! Early unverified and nonexistent polls still show that CT is favored to finally win it all.

so the final 5 left on this challenge is CT/Diem, Mark/Robin, Johnny/Camilla, the gay guy couple, and Ty/Emily. Right now I see the top 2 are CT/Diem and Johnny/Camilla (even though we don't know who are the gay guy couple is) but I think those 2 teams are the teams to beat because both guys are good and their girl partners arent anchors weighing them down. But with that being said I think this is CT and Diem's challenge to lose because CT is a beast he's in great shape and can handle the final, as for Diem I think she'll be alright in the final and I don't see her slowing CT down. For Johnny and Camilla I think Camilla will slow Johnny down if they get in the final. As for the rest Robin will probably slow down Mark in the final, Ty and Emily seem like they could be a threat but that depends on how good of shape Ty is in and if they can solve puzzles, and since we don't know who the gay guy couple is its impossible to speculate on what they can do.

And i think people underrate Johnny as an actual physical competitor. I think on Cutthroat and Rivals, he proved himself to be a good player on the field as well as in the house.

Can I just add in a bit of late speculation? I believe that Paula's probably the reason her and Dunbar went in, is probably the reason why they lost, and she probably complained about how nothing's her fault and is going to do so again on the reunion while claiming absolutely no responsibility for her own actions. Again.

So can someone tell me why everyone is so fixated on a partner's / couples / ex's format? I'm not even understanding where the idea came from, or perhaps I'm slow.

I'd say if Diem does another challenge she would be really hard to figure out. She said she would only do one if she had internet access, and I bet she would have someone promoting her business on her twitter for her, shes a tough one. I havent heard much about CT either, but the way I see it. If Kelly Anne and Mandi are both on, then either could be with Wes, while the other would probably be with CT or Cohutta. This would probably rule out Diem being there unless Derrick is there and they are partnered up. * Partnered-hookup/relationship not as in "team for this next challenge"

Why is everyone so convinced this is going to be an exes challenge? Granted, it seems like it could be with the supposed cast, but if Abram and Cara Maria are still together then doesn't that theory go out the window? Plus, isn't the Challenge due for another team based challenge? They had a pairs challenge the last time with Rivals...

I have a feeling the next challenge is going to have some kind of couples, hookups or exes format. I was looking at the speculated cast on another website and all of them have dated or hooked up with someone else in the same cast. I think that would cause drama but I hope it's not a pairs challenge since Rivals just aired -.- we need an individual or team challenge for season 22

We don't know the format yet, but the logical way to do it would be pairs.

I'm with you. I'm STRONGLY rooting for CT/Diem. I'm hoping the final 3 teams (if there are 3 in the finals) are: 1. CT/Diem (winners)...2. Mark/Robin (2nd place)... 3. Emily/Ty (third place). I want the next elimination to be Johnny/Camila....and then the final elimination to be Abram/Cara Maria. Like I said, this is assuming 3 teams make the final.

Derrick said on his most recent podcast with Ruthie, Zach, and the blonde girl that he's been hearing what's been happening on the challenge right now and that it's nuts. Falls in line with what TJ said about how crazy everyone's going. Hopefully this bodes well for a another renewal.
