The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion

re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I'm glad she's back as well. An underrated player, and I think Ty will get further because she is definitely one of the stronger rookie females that has emerged int he past few seasons. A nice fresh cast though, compared to the last though.
I have high hopes for the last female to be someone really entertaining, so I'm a but disappointed. At least Ty is good tv though....
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I agree about Ty and Vinnie but I also leave open that we get to see very little of what goes on. I have known cast members to comment that some of the events took significantly more time than the viewers were led to believe by the edit. The one that immediately comes to mind I think was either Cut Throat or Ruins where they were hanging upside down for an hour or more by their legs/ankles but it seemed like a lot faster round on TV.
One of the early events during The Duel would have taken the entire episode to show.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
That is an accurate assumption.

To anyone who might have some inside knowledge in the biz, do they start the editing process while the challenge is still airing? Or do they wait until completion to start sifting though their video? With signs pointing to a January 25th premiere, I can't believe that it only takes them six weeks to edit everything and have a full ten episode season ready.
They did the same with San Diego....
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Brianna and Joey? Baya and Ryan? Ashley and Mike?
I would Love if Joey and Brianna were on here. I'm surprised Bri has only been on one, I thought she would take over and become the next Coral. Didn't Joey say something about being on the next challenge some months ago. he and Bri on this challenge would make sense, seeing as the speculation is a hook up/relationship challenge.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Hopefully sometime next week we'll see who got eliminated and hopefully by sometime this month we'll have the complete cast list and maybe a name for this Challenge.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Davis has been tweeting though, unless of course as speculated, someone is running it for him. He's replying to people but apparently one of his friends hasn't heard from him all weekend and told him to call her later.
Well if someone's running their Twitter accounts, they're doing a better job than some of the other people who just disappear without an excuse. On a side note, part of me is thinking that a certain retirement we heard about recently isn't actually true and that this person is back (again -_-). And no, I don't mean Brad and Tori.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
In order for Tyler and Ryan to be in the top three, it would necessitate that they are competing on this challenge, which they are not.
the gay pair is the biggest mystery of this challenge. Lol
Re: What's After Real World: San Diego and Challenge Rivals
At this point even though it does appear that departure is fairly soon (within 2 weeks). The only people I would even possibly bet on being there are Johnny & Nany
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Does TJ Lavin give any clues if he's hosting? At this point he's a shoo in, just wondering.
Yeah it seems as though they did the 1st challenge as soon as they arrived, when did Anessa come home last time? Lol sorry for all the questions. But if they did start the same way as last time, then maybe some people have been eliminated that we dont know of.
If they have an extra female team, if they did boy elimination and then girl elimination, they could start and end with a girl week before the finals and even it out, but I suspect there is probably a missing people still that evens it all out.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
the gay pair is the biggest mystery of this challenge. Lol
Maybe there isn't one.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Question for molds - do you know which team (if any) replaced Adam/Nany? My logic would guess Ty/Emily because I believe it's the only team that wasn't speculated on beforehand, but I definitely could be wrong.
What does it even matter which team replaced Adam & Nany. Who cares? In my eyes, no one replaced them, they didn't make the cut so they continued to cast until they got a pair that was able to go. They never left for the flight, they never even made it to the airport, so it doesn't matter. Its not like Jonna where she got to the airport was a part of the cast and then found out she couldn't go and was replaced on the show by Evelyn. Adam/Nany dropped out when in the casting stages.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
One of the early events during The Duel would have taken the entire episode to show.
You mean the poorly thought out first mission where no one person logically speaking should be capable of throwing off 9 others moving in completely different directions? And just to stay on topic here: You can all interpret that however you may wish to.
If she knew, she would enlighten us.
Not necessarily. And Molds I hope you feel better.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I still don't understand how they're doing this. I mean, the teams wouldn't be even... ahhh I'm so lost.
Are teams ever 'even' though? Look at The Ruins, Gauntlet 2, Gauntlet 3, Cutthroat, and Rivals 'teammates'. It's hard to believe there will ever be a challenge where teams are truly 'even'.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I can't Wait any longer when is it time to post the real cast?
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
The Challenge: Battle of Exes. That sounds like a cool name for this challenge and the name alone can bring in viewers who doesn't want to see ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend drama.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I'm going to go out on a limb here ans speculate that Dunbar will horribly botch some challenges. The question is, who will be worse at competing? Dunbar or Tyrie 2.0? What if they both wind up getting the win? Would that create a time paradox?
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I just realized something that I don't think anyone's asked, although I'm not sure if we can ask this but: Is TJ hosting again?
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Damn. Shocked Wes is out. I hope I don't see CT or Abram's names anytime soon on the spoiler boot list.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I wonder if Dustin/Heather will be replaced since he left due to an injury?
An unwritten rule of reality TV is that replacements happen early or they don't happen at all. Dustin/Heather's departure was too late, imo, for replacements not to potentially affect the already established game flow (alliances/body wear & tear/etc). One can certainly argue that after a certain point, any replacement could impinge on the boundaries for fair competition established in The Game Show Act.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
By the way the cast list is going in order of eliminations. I'm starting to think the alliance didint send Wes in to lose, he got upset by one of the weaker teams. It just doesn't make sense: Nate, Vinny, Wes, Leroy, Tyrie. Wes just doesn't fit in that group. I really think Mandi was BMP's last choice, I really think they wanted Kelly Anne, Theresa or Johanna.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
CT & Diem are the only pair left that doesn't have a question mark among them as far as one member of the team having stamina issues. Robin and Camila definitely don't strike me as having the gas necessary to hold it together for the duration of these marathon finals they've been implementing in recent challenges and we've already seen Ty and Abe bomb here not too long ago as well. Mark's the only guy there that could cut CT's pace in a final and Diem is big into long distance running and should be able to outrun all of the other girls there if it came down to it.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Where did the Jan 25th date come from?
Re: What's After Real World: San Diego and Challenge Rivals
At this point even though it does appear that departure is fairly soon (within 2 weeks). The only people I would even possibly bet on being there are Johnny & Nany
Haha Johnny practically has it written on his forehead...I don't know how he gets away with it. Derrick said on his podcast that Johnny does whatever he wants and never gets in trouble.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
So are they going to be already seperated or someone is it going to be like Cutthroat?
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Camila is a veteran now. Oops
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Not saying they are but it's been a week since departure there is a chance Leroy or Nate could be home. I guess will have to see i would lean towards Nate rookies go home first normally.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Cara Maria hasnt done anything outstanding. Robin is a good competitor, the team at a good advantage physically is CT/Diem. Strong guys can compensate for weak girls, Ask Wes about Casey. But its hard for Strong girls to compensate fore weak guys, Ask Evelyn about Luke, or Sarah about Vinny.
Evelyn and Laurel disagree with you regarding Cara Maria's talent. Both think she is an outstanding competitor. I'm inclined to follow their lead on this one.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
There could just be another male/female pair, or there are no other pairs. Guess we'll see soon!
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Where did the Jan 25th date come from?
Don't ask questions without doing a little legwork. Read back just 20 posts, and you will have your answer...
RW is almost over, and according to tv guide true life will be on Wednesday nights after RW is over. Are they just going to have fillers for the next few months? Or is the challenge going to air in January or February? EDIT: According to Scooter (who I think is the producer??) The challenge airs January 25th! Yay that's so soon :D
Re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Mark Long is the godfather of the challenge, pathetic he is not. He won money too according to the reunion spoilers. He could have beat Johnny but he knew he would get last in the final.
Re: What's After Real World: San Diego and Challenge Rivals
The Challenge: Hookups? Abram, Casey, Heather, Nate and Joey can be added to the list if so.
Johanna, KellyAnne, Brad, Dan(Viewers Revenge),CT and Chet too

I think we should be adding her to the list.
This is a definite yes for me. I'm weirdly excited (if this is true) that Jazmine is on this challenge.
Not sure if you're understanding where Molds' head is at. They will be splitting up the teams in a manner where each "romance" is on opposite teams.
AHHHHHH, thank you, this could turn out to be a very interesting format, the only thing to make it better would be some form of team switching.
Are teams ever 'even' though? Look at The Ruins, Gauntlet 2, Gauntlet 3, Cutthroat, and Rivals 'teammates'. re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
So I'm wondering. What's the upside with them taking away the internet on these shows? Are they scared that the cast will spoil everything? It seems like in todays day and age with facebook and especially twitter, it would be a very good idea for production to let the cast lay down some tweets/messages to keep fans wondering. Even if they just limited the internet access to social sites and work related visits, how hard would that be for them to do? Even if they put it in the contract that all internet activity has to be monitored, I'm sure many cast members will agree to that if it meant they could get online a couple of times a day.
I'm going to go out on a limb here ans speculate that Dunbar will horribly botch some challenges. The question is, who will be worse at competing? Dunbar or Tyrie 2.0? re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
From what I have heard Tyrie is in much better shape this time around and is pretty good friends with Leroy which gives him an advantage in both the alliance aspect and with the athleticism aspect.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Why do people assume there are 2 gay couples? Why can't there be one? I think they picked 1 gay couple who they thought had the best chance of winning. Your partner is your Achilles' heel. Rachel is a mentally and physically strong player (just a great all around player), while Aneesa is smart and great in elimination rounds.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Molds will we get the Elimination round spoilers as it comes closer to the priemere =)
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Camila is a veteran now. Oops
is that supposed to be some sort of "maybe itll be a Gauntlet" thing, then no because im pretty sure those are retired.
Assuming gets you in trouble. Trust me I used to assume.
Lmao funniest post yet. I'm excited yet sad at the same timw that Wes got eliminated so earl. Very strange
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Robin is a bad player. But nobody has ever called out Mark ever or put him in because they have a lot of respect for him and if it's pairs or teams, a pair would probably volunteer to go in before Mark was sent in, which means Robin is safe by default.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Is anyone else happy that Emily and Ty are on this challenge? I think they are interesting together. Ty will always stir something up when he's drunk and Emily is the coolest female. She said she was too forgiving on her last challenge (towards Katie and Ty). So maybe she'll be even more of a ****** this time.
Im glad they're on this challenge as well. Hopefully Emily will cuss a few people out this time around, her sweet personality may be misinterpreted for weakness. And i don't think she's weak at all. And hopefully Ty will give the other guys some type of competition since he started playing football again and doing less modeling.

re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Emily is awesome and I'm glad she made it far.(Even though I wasn't that fond of her during her season).
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Maybe you should base your opinion more on what other cast members say. And all of the ones i've seen talk about her, make her out to be a beast of a competitor. But we've only seen her on one challenge so, like i say with Leroy, we haven't seen much to say what she can really do. I guess we'll have to wait...
No, I think you misread a little. I said based on what I've seen and what I've heard people (here) say, it would seem as though people love her because of her likable personality and her success in defeating Paula. Well TBH, people say things all the time, and I guess they would have more credibility, but Evelyn did say Cara Maria is a great competitor and forgive me if I am wrong, but I never heard her say that about Emily, does this mean Cara Maria > Emily? See where my thinking goes? All I am saying is that she may be a good competitor and I would like to see her do well on this challenge (well better than Johnny and Camila), but as far as comparing her to the likes of Laurel and Evelyn and her being "3rd best," I just feel like that is far-fetched. There have been a lot of rookies who have done very well before. I think Ty and Emily can get 3rd place depending on the final, maybe even 2nd, but I don't see them beating CT and Diem I guess.
