Yeah I could also tell she was scared of Jenn at the Rivals reunion. Laurel jumped out of her seat and got all gangster in 10&2's face on the Free Agents reunion when 10&2 said she wanted to punch her. Watching the episode again it seems like a lot of the girls tried to memorize too much on the first turn, and then had to doctor it and play catch up. Apart from the two teams that are completely made up of brand new people they should've known, as it's been in the past, that they were likely to have to go back and forth at least 3 times. Should've focused on one row per trip...which was only like 5/6 shapes. They probably even could've gotten the last 2 rows on one trip since they had a set number of pieces with no extras and could've done some process of elimination.
I know there are other factors involved but it does seem like the majority bit off more than they could chew from jump and it messed them up.

The exile games are stupid and easy (so far), but is being Jay/Jenna and not having to win challenges or go into elimination because of alliances/sex any more difficult? If Dustin and Jess had won 8 straight ex-iles, regardless of the games, I'd find that more impressive than just sliding to the final. If Bananas winds up winning it he'll have had to have won 4 or 5 exile games...not an easy feat considering they're 50/50 games that require no skill and anyone can lose. If anything, the person who gets the best deal is the last ex-ile challenger. They have to win one coin toss game and be reinstated.
Discrediting Bananas at this point is ridiculous...5 wins, 7 finals, most money. If it really bugs you think of it this way...it's the Challenge Gods smiling on the fact that he didn't get a chance to compete in his elimination round ;).
