I know it's selfish of me, but I want everything to flop on MTV just so The Real World and The Challenge can last longer.
Hahaha, you're bad!! Look at it this way: MTV is putting a lot of faith into this show, if it brings in the ratings they're hoping for then more viewers will see the challenge and RW advertisements. As a result, more viewers will be inclined to watch them.
Very true!! I just hope that MTV keeps the real world and challenges as their main ***** for reality TV!

They most likely will, it's a staple that has stayed somewhat consistent over the years. They just really need something that can break the 3 or 4 million mark right now. The theory is that Shannara will be their GoT and that Eye Candy will be their CSI.
HBO's trying to churn this one out pretty quickly, and it doesn't sound half bad. 12 Years a Slave director is at the helm, that alone is enough promise.
— a provocative exploration of a young black man’s experience entering New York high society – centers on Beverly Snow, a young man from Queens as talented as he is ambiguous. His self-confidence will enable him to break into the social circles of Manhattan’s elite, testing the boundaries of access and social mobility. Throughout the series, Beverly’s ability will grant him access to a life larger in every way than the one to which he was born. His chameleon-like approach to life will test his nerve as he takes his future into his own hands.
Good to know. With True Detective, Game of Thrones and now Westworld, I'm all about HBO.
Lots of great shows (both current and upcoming). HBO is pretty much the boss of television!
Another network I'm a really big fan of is FX. They have a lot of my favorite shows, Sons of Anarchy, AHS, The Strain, Justified, Fargo and The Americans.

I'm getting into FX more and more lately, but HBO is still number one

If you haven't watch The Americans, you totally should. It's sooo good. The main actors are phenomenal.
No just no.... why are they pumping out so many useless reboots for pilot season?? i hope they all don't get picked up... okay well maybe Scream and Friday the 13th but everything else can go
Resident Evil was awful. I read the first book of the Mortal Instruments and I didn't like it. Also pass on both of them.
Does anyone even watch Resident Evil? I roll my eyes anytime there's a trailer attached to a movie I go see...
I heard the Mortal Instruments movie SUCKED. Maybe it's better suited for TV, I couldn't care less.
Underworld is the only one I may consider giving a shot to, but even then werewolves and vampires have been exhausted almost to the point of no return. I guess it depends on the network in charge and who's at the helm. Still leaning towards a pass.
YES1!!! Its better than half the shit that is seen on television especially with that ******* white girls shows like Mysteries of Laura, Bad Judge, etc. etc. I hated resident evil 3 though.
Set in a present day dystopian world the Shannara family, whose descendants have ancient magic, go on adventures that continuously reshape the future of the world. Based on the Terry Brooks books of the same name.
With TBA.
Shoots Jan. 19, 2015–April 19, 2015 in New Zealand.
Produced by Sonar Entertainment. Airs on MTV.
Casting at 6565 Sunset Blvd., Ste. 516, Los Angeles, CA 90028.
Filming starts in January and it's taking place in New Zealand! Not surprising, but still. I really hope MTV has given this the budget it needs to compete with GoT. Susanne Daniels must be confident in the script, especially since the show was able to bypass the pilot stage. Hopefully it pays off, MTV is a dying network and it desperately needs these numbers.

Me too. I hated most of the series on MTV anyway, Especially AYTO and Finding Carter.
The plot sounds interesting enough. I just wish Miranda Cosgrove would return to my screen, I loved her
It tells the story of a town under siege from a mysterious disease that has wiped out everybody except those 21 years old and under and chronicles the power vacuum that results when a government has quarantined a 10-mile diameter area and left the inhabitants to fend for themselves.
another show, Murhpy??? He takes on wayyy too many tv shows at once... AHS, ACS, and now Scream Queens??? Good luck with that... funny, I came up with like the exact same type of show a few years ago called "Stage Fright"... a musical horror show. Thought it'd be an interesting twist/new genre.
Btw has anyone ever see the pilot of Murphy's would-be show Pretty/Handsome? It got leaked online a few years ago but its pretty difficult to find... it was made around the time Nip/Tuck was coming to an end and before Glee got off the ground. It was definitely a controversial plot to begin with (a husband and father of two decides to come out as a transsexual to everyone... and lets just say things don't go very smoothly lol)... but I feel if it were made today, it may have actually been picked up (we have made so many big strides recently with lgbt on tv)... if you can find it, watch it!! I guess you can look at it like a mini-movie/hour and a half pilot... and you might recognize more than a few faces from Murphy's other shows! haha

Did you see the Shonda tweet in the HTGAWM thread? She absolutely slaughtered the naysayers <3
I did I did!!! hahaha it was funny
btw... low and behold, I have found the pilot... it is the only copy that is pretty much known of atm on the internet, so if you have any interest, just PM me and I'll send you a link (the quality of the show is just okay, but its worth the watch imo... especially cause it ends with my fav song EVERRRR haha)

Season 2 went from 10 to 20 episodes, making it the second 20 episode order from MTV on a series, the other being Teen Wolf (which seems odd as neither has had stellar ratings recently, TW took a really big hit over the summer). Is it even worth watching though?

Though not officially ordered, a Westworld full series pickup is 'imminent.' That's what I like to hear!
Good to know. With True Detective, Game of Thrones and now Westworld, I'm all about HBO.

Lol HBO fanboys!

I'll definitely check it out!
'Bewitched' TV Show Reboot in the Works
I mean... whatever.
David S. Goyer Adapting ‘Shadowland’ Horror Novel As NBC Event Series The book centers on two young boys, Tom Flanagan and Del Nightingale. They spend a summer with Del’s uncle Coleman, one of the foremost magicians in the world, who may actually be a sorcerer.
Interesting. I trust Goyer, so maybe it will end up being something worthwhile.
Upcoming ‘The Secret Lives Of Twin Peaks’ Book To Bridge Gap Between ABC & Showtime Series
The movie was a total flop and still resonates. I'm not sure what they are thinking as the concept seems DOA.
I couldn't agree more. CBS attempted a reboot in 2011, which obviously failed. I just don't see the point in trying yet again.
‘Marley & Me’ Series From Jenny Bicks & David Frankel Lands At NBC As Put Pilot

I still need to check out Happyland.
