Seems like Sam is doing all this solely to get a rise out of Zach, I just hope she isn't shocked if she does
It all seems less about pride and more about "HEY, ZACH! LOOK! YOU MAD BRO?!"
Yeah Zach I've worked as a barback before, the girls rarely, if ever, refer to us as "the assistant".
Also, I get a BB Keesha/Memphis relationship from Thor and Trashley...
I like how Zack makes a comment that hurts Sam's feelings, and Ashley feels Zach needs cheering up. I really thought there must be more to Zach, sure doesn't seem like it.
"ha ha ha ha ha" you can tell the editors ******* hate her!
I thought the same thing but blamed it on me over analyzing. Why though? I've never seen a season where a roommate was cute out SO MUCH ( even Josh and Callie had episodes devoted solely to them). Was she rude or a ***** or something during filming?
Is it wrong that I probably wouldn't want to work gay pride either?
I could see me not wanting to do it either, but I wouldn't be as uptight about it as Zach seems... I'd just get it over with, there are worse ways to spend an afternoon. Or are they working it all weekend?
Zach doesn't have to be gay or like going to gay clubs, he should just tell them I support you guys, but I am just not into it but you do your thing. But he said himself he doesn't support it. He seems disgusted even when he talks about gay clubs is the thing though. I wouldn't want to go to the gay club, but if a group went with a bunch of straight people too, i'd be supportive of my friends/roomates. Just because Zach isn't going, Ashley doesn't makes Ashley look worse IMO because Zach has kept same opinion, Ashley is just a follower. Zach's rebuttle for everything is, what are they going to do fight me?
Frank: "So are you going out with us to Sam's thing?"
Ashley: "HMMM I don't know. I don't feel like doing anything." ...yet I'm gonna keep curling my hair, do my makeup, and walk around in my skanky dress....

Just because he doesn't support it doesn't mean he hates gay people. He has his own beliefs and what I find disgusting is how Frank thinks Zach and Ashley hates gay people just because they don't support it. There's a big difference.
Wow Ashley, because Zach isn't going, suddenly you don't feel like going?
Lol right, for being the oldest cast member, she sure behaves like a high schooler
Seems like Sam is doing all this solely to get a rise out of Zach, I just hope she isn't shocked if she does
It is human nature. When a person degrades someone else's religion, their race, their sexual orientation, the other person will probably proclaim their pride in their religion, race, sexual orientation more fervently and more in the face. Sam is a let it go person as we have already seen. She is someone who is very calm and understanding. But Zach's comment, even if meant as a joke (and frankly I think there is an underlying hostility in that joke considering the many other jokes that could have been said that do not involve Sam's sexual orientation), is something that is going to hit even Sam's nerve.
I can't speak for Sam but I highly doubt Sam has not been bullied or insulted before due to her appearance and sexual orientation. So is Sam trying to get a rise out of Zach? Yes. Is it understandable? Absolutely.
And apparently, gays don't like to "go to church or the gym.."
No kidding on the church part and I don't do twinks besides the gay guys I know including myself love the gym. In fact I know gays and lesbians who used to go to church. I don't live there anymore but I'm sure they are still there.
As for Brock Zach and Ashley they are all acting like close minded buffoons. Really Zach is not all that she gives a bad name to independent women everywhere.
Is it just me or do theseepisodes seem like they been on for hours. I completely forgot that it opened with Lillian and Priscilla who I love very much along with Alexandra and Sam. Frank is wrong for wearing that fruity little skirt on television.
Just because he doesn't support it doesn't mean he hates gay people.
If it were anyone, I would agree with you. But its the way Zach says stuff that shows there's some sort of underlining hate.
Sam kinda needs to chill though. I've been in her same situation where some of my friends don't wanna go out to gay clubs with me and at first it does hurt a little..but then it's like **** it.
The thing about Sam's argument is that it makes it seem like Zach hates gay people, when while that may or may not be true, that's not the same thing as not wanting to associate yourself with gay culture.
And is it just me, or are they stretching the gay thing over too many episodes? Seriously, move on to the next storyline . CAN SOMEONE GET PREGNANT IN THIS ***** ALREADY?!?
Just because he doesn't support it doesn't mean he hates gay people. He has his own beliefs and what i find disgusting is how Frank thinks Zach and Ashley hates gay people just because they don't support it. There's a big difference.
He looks pretty disgusted even talking about when he is invited to gay clubs. So he may not be homophobic, but he has problems with it i think for sure. Either it's just he has never been around it before which is understandable, or he just is against it. Ashley is just a follower and doesn't have her own opinions but has the opinions of the cutest guy in the room.
Frank makes/can make himself look bad because I don't think the point of the pride is to force your beliefs onto someone, quite the opposite actually. If Zach doesn't want to be around it, Frank sure isn't going to change his mind by throwing a tantrum.
I don't think Zach is hateful, just unwilling and set in his beliefs, which seem to be guns/working out/church/Ashley. He's a complicated man :)

Based on what we have seen from Zach, he does demonstrate homophobic behaviors. The stuff in the car outside the gay club alone was as vile homophobia as I have seen on a reality show in a long time. The beating gay out of Sam comment was detestable. The guy looks like he wants to hurl at the thought of there being gays in the world and his general reaction is to hide when homosexuality comes up.
To me his actions are no different than a militant lesbian friend of mine who refuses to go to straight weddings and looks away in distaste any time a straight couple shows PDA. It comes across as childish and boorish behavior at best and hate at worst. As with her, I hope Zach grows up out of this.
As for Ashley, she says or does whatever Zach wants her to do so I can't say she is homophobic. She is just pathetic.
