Now I know who the original hunk was.
Although I had heard it before, now I know for sure that he was.
Yeah, Eric & Julie made this show a hit. Kind of like Mark & Kit with Road Rules.
I'm impressed with the promo for Portland at least on the actually MTV channel, idk about elsewhere, they haven't done this since a couple of seasons ago. I like how they're including commentary for other seasons during this marathon.
So much nostalgia, this feels like this will be the final season.
I've never seen the Vegas season so I may check that out. Was kind of hoping that they were going to Austin, Philly or Denver.
Vegas was ****. Never got that hype.
Why wasn't Julie and Andre ever on a challenge?!? I wish they could get this whole cast on a challenge...I've never seen this season...it's great to watch it! Julie is by far my favorite cast member.

Except for the Kenny/Evan parts, yes.

By the end of this season I'm pretty sure Andre's completely invisible (if I recall correctly)
Julie probably didn't want to do the challenges.

Well actually I did see a form that said RW29 was now casting. The minimum age is 20 though, and I just turned 19 this year. :/
Last year, it said the minimum age was 19, and I was 18. Why won't they catch up with me?

Vegas was and still is hands down the best Real World season so you should check it. I'm probably biased to some extent though because Vegas was when I got into RW and started watching religiously.

I'm glad to hear that because the way MTV has been acting, they're making it seem as if Portland is the final season.

I've heard mainly nothing but good things about Vegas. I'm older so I loved the first few seasons. New York, Seattle and London (I know I'm alone on this) were probably my favorites.

I feel like Julie would have been entertaining on the challenges...thats sad.
I just watched Vegas online for the first time, and I thought it was great. Sure, it may have been the first 'party' season, but at the same time it did also sometimes deal with social issues, especially with Arissa lots of times. All the roommies were pretty interesting (except maybe Frank and Brynn).
"But if this is the level of maturity then never let me be mature" Julie
"I don't even want to kill him. I just want to choke him" Heather
Yeah, I love them

You are not alone, KVM. I loved the earlier seasons including London because of Jacinda, Kat, and Neil's confessional.
As for most of the 1st RW season never doing Challenges (only Eric and Norman did any), they were never contractually obligated to be "somewhat available" as they are now for press, media, etc. I loved this cast and as Eric Nies said: "We were the only real world because everyone knew what it was like afterwards. We were just given a key and an address and told to show up."
Julie rocks! Her comment about the beeper was an ice breaker. Her, Heather, and Gouda (Norman's dog) are highlight reel material. I believe this was the only season they were allowed to have pets in the house too. Heather does beat up Eric at one point. For those wondering about the Julie and Kevin fight, according to Julie, they later found out that day that the LA Riots had started so people started crowding around to watch their argument because racial tensions were really high.
Andre was pretty much a non-factor most of the season. Tt was the producers who messed up the house that his band was in and then called the cops to create the drama.
I kind of wish they were showing Seattle. I heard it was a great season, plus it could sort of go well with Portland, since they're both in the Pacific North West.
But I'm glad they're showing the original season, Vegas (the original party season) and San Fran (the breakout season).
