As for most of the 1st RW season never doing Challenges (only Eric and Norman did any), they were never contractually obligated to be "somewhat available" as they are now for press, media, etc.

Becky definitely did one--Battle of the Seasons because she was Norman's partner
I think Heather did one--Challenge 2000 or RW vs. RR...one of those 2

You're right I forgot she was on BOTSeasons 1 with Norman (he also did the first Gauntlet). I think Heather did Challenge 2000 which was one of the touring Challenges before BOTSeasons 1 because she caught David or Piggy or both smoking which was against the rules.
I just watched Vegas online for the first time, and I thought it was great. Sure, it may have been the first 'party' season, but at the same time it did also sometimes deal with social issues, especially with Arissa lots of times. All the roommies were pretty interesting (except maybe Frank and Brynn).
No love for Brynn? Why? :(
I almost feel like Vegas (the original party season) is what killed the show so I have mixed feelings about watching it.
Yeah, it started to slip following Hawaii just a bit and then dropped like a rock after Vegas. When Entertainment Tonight does a video program on all 7 cast members in the hot tub at once and hooking up within their first week then you know it is an issue, especially since it was titled something like "Has the MTV's Real World crossed a line?"
.
No love for Brynn? Why? :(
I didn't say I didn't like her (nor Frank) I actually quite liked both of them.
But neither of them really had any big storylines during the season. Whereas there was Steven-Trishelle, Alton-Irulan, Arissa "finding herself". Brynn was cool at the beginning, but then after that she just kind of faded out, and I would forget about her. I mostly liked Frank for his commentary, other than that, not much.
eric is a drama queen
I didn't remember him being this much of a b****...I guess was only 14 when this first aired so maybe I just don't remember
Frank was kinda boring. He was so into Trishelle then Jillian. I have no idea whats up with him now as far as relationship goes though. Nerdier than usual

Eric became the hip hop dance/fitness leader of The Grind after this.

I wouldn't say kill the show... just transitioned the show into a different era. Entertainment wise I still found it to be one of the best even though it was so trashy.
Not sure if this is unpopular opinion or not, but I actually like how Real World has become a bit "trashy", although that's probably because it's what I'm used to.
Here's my story: I first heard of the show when Sydney was on, and I watched it on occasion, but I didn't watch Hollywood cause I thought at the time that the show was just fake, but then when Brooklyn came along, and I saw the "How real it is" special or whatever it was before it aired, I thought "maybe I'll give this show a try", but then that season sucked, and I was like "what kind of Real World is this? Where's the hookups? Where's the bar fights?" Then when I first saw the previews for Cancun "I was like YES! THIS is the Real World I've been looking for!"
So that's basically my story, of how I got hooked on this show.
Frank was kinda boring. He was so into Trishelle then Jillian. I have no idea whats up with him now as far as relationship goes though. Nerdier than usual
I think someone on here said he was still living with Jillian and doing a Graduate Business program at USC or UCLA
There's no "right or wrong" on which Real World people like better. I just think I'm too old to enjoy watching people in their early 20s act like idiots--I already lived through that--haha
Eric became the hip hop dance/fitness leader of The Grind after this.
Yeah, I remember that. The first time I ever remember being annoyed by him was on the Battle of the Seasons when he was hosting it then it was intolerable on Battle of the Sexes 2 IMO
I wasn't his biggest fan in Battle of the Sexes 2.....thank the Lord for Kina and her jump rope snatching self!
I hate even thinking about that **** jump rope. I was hoping Coral would strangle him with it.
I hate even thinking about that **** jump rope. I was hoping Coral would strangle him with it.
I was thinking it would have been Tina actually while Coral dropped some sarcasm.
I recall that he was really ****** off over the jump rope being stolen. I miss Kina being on Challenges.
I never really liked Kina but I did love that moment

agreed. 100% agree.
Also, i'm really enjoying RW NY. Never saw it before, and I find myself actually interested in these people.

Norman is pretty cool and no one else has ever done a Confessional from a bathtub since. Julie is just awesomesauce!
What season of the RW were Kenny and Evan on?
You do realize that they just have random reality people on, right?
MTV loves Kenny & Evan--they probably can't have them on a challenge so they want to bring them on in some capacity.
I was hoping they would have commentary from past cast members instead of the people from Guy Code or whatever.
They should've had the cast from that season
