That was cool to watch. I always love seeing people's audition tapes, for all kinds of reality shows.
Got to admit, I would not mind seeing Melinda strip in person
I think Melinda is one of the classier RW-ers. While she may have stripped or whatever I think she proved you can be memorable character, challenge competitor and not be a ****.
I'm in complete agreement about Melinda. .... Tonya on the other hand ...
Hey Tonya was my girl too. It's just that she got caught up with the he said she said bull****.
Is it bad that I want to start referring to Wes as Tonya after he almost put CT's bed in the pool on Rivals?

So it looks like Portland won't be airing when BOTS ends. I just saw a trailer for a new show called Washington Heights? It airs January 9th at 10 so it will take the spot. I thought maybe Portland might air sooner but I guess not! I guess we'll see around March or April.
Thats such a loooonnng time :( Either A) They're moving the night or B) They want people to have enough time to forget about the last 2 seasons not being so good. My guess is that if the season starts in March maybe casting calls will be announced late jan or feb so they can film though the airing of Portland

Hopefully like BGC , it will return to it's original night on Tuesday at 10 , far fetched but one can dream.

If Washington Heights does well, as I think it will, they could promote the show during the later episodes if it's still going to be same night, same time.
Tosh is only half hour though
It's kinda funny that scrolling through twitter people actually think Buckwild and Washington Heights are the newest seasons of RW; lol and they're dead serious.

I'm curious, is it true that the original pilot for the Real World:NY included a whole different cast?
Yes, the test pilot was done over a weekend in a loft in NYC. Then they decided to actually go out and find people for the cast that were more cooperative (or so I've heard). Does anyone know if Jenn and Adam are still together?

They hired 7 young nobody actors for the roles, and when they pitched the idea, the network thought it would make a better reality show... so they scrapped the plans and went forth with what would become the first Real World.
Hmm now I'm really confused. :/
Ive seen the pilot, it was six real people, who lived in the NY house for a weekend. It wasn't scripted. The Real World was originally planned to be scripted but they realized that it would not fit the budget and so they decided to make it a documentary.

Yes the idea that Jon Murray and Mary-Ellis Bunim pitched to MTV over breakfast was originally scripted, however the idea was entertained to toss the "script" (partially because of budget) and film regular people living in a New York loft together. The pilot was their test/experiment, and they hired SIX regular people, none of which were "roles", to spend the weekend in a loft in NYC. MTV liked it and bought the first season. The network didn't think it would "make a better reality show" because reality shows were practically nonexistent in 1991 (Yes, the pilot was shot in '91). An edited down version of the pilot is on the complete first season DVD.
Does anyone know if Jenn and Adam are still together?
Jenn Grijalva? She's been dating someone - not Adam - for quite a while. I don't think she and Adam were ever officially together.
Jess, a casting director for RW, has been posting a lot of these. I find them pretty interesting.

I'm glad to see other people interested in a Real World: Atlanta! I've wanted RW to go there for a long time now. I think there's a lot of be experienced and seen in ATL. Just as long as they don't come in the summertime.
I'm guessing the last one is how so many gems were casted lol.
Cast. Casted is not a word. And lol@Svetlana being grateful for not being on the Austin season. I still can't believe that one Favorite back in 2008. And Atlanta will be dead awesome. How can we be sure Bacchus? I do remember somebody here posting an article or interview or something of the like where she did say something similar to that effect besides i don't remember any show that was Atlanta related at the time anyway so maybe it is false though. *shrugs*
