I think it would be good for her to do one Challenge. It would add to the stress level in the house which creates more drama and the rest of us can take bets on how many episodes go by before she gets eliminated. Anyone for the Episode 2 or 3?
See, I can't stand the stupid drama so I'd prefer her not to do a challenge but she may be good for ratings so bring her in--hopefully she's eliminated fast
So, I was watching a clip of all the "intros" for the Real World and there's people I don't even remember at all from seasons I did watch I don't remember there being a Sarah on Miami or a Kevin on Back to NY. Where they that useless or does my memory just suck now that I'm getting old. Completely forgot about Kat (London), Matt (Hawaii) and Keri (Chicago) until I saw them as well. Probably would have never came up with those names if asked for the cast
Sarah on my Miami worked for Image Comics at the time as an artist and was never too thrilled with her experience last I heard. I found Kevin to be relatively focused more on the radio work they were doing as it really interested him. I remember Matt by name but would have to see him to know what he looked like. Not sure what happened with Keri but I remember her more for being close to Kyle than anything. I've always remembered Kat from London including her streaking the neighborhood with Jacinda. I actually follow her on Twitter too.
I've always remembered Kat from London including her streaking the neighborhood with Jacinda. Good info on the others--still have no memory at all of Sarah or Kevin--must have blocked them out for a reason--ha ha
Not sure why Kevin was not that memorable. Perhaps it is because he turned down Lori more than once or maybe because he was easily overshadowed by Coral, Miz, plus a couple of other people. Well, Image Comics had been around for about a year maybe two at the time. It was enjoying explosive growth with Todd McFarlane and Jim Lee leading the way. Honestly, I don't think Sarah cared to be memorable on the show at all. She was easily overshadowed by everyone from Flora, Dan, Mike, Joe, Melissa and Cynthia. It was easy to lose her in their antics. Kat's a beautiful woman. You should see her pic on IMDB. The person who wishes he was no longer publicly associated with Real World and MTV is Sean Duffy from RW Boston, especially once he started running for Congress in Wisconsin. Although he and Rachel (from RW San Fran) do have like 6 kids now.
Kevin probably is memorable to others. Maybe it was just that I focused on the others. I mean, I even remember Nichole & Rachel pretty well. He turned down Lori? Wow, that's hard to comprehend. "I don't think Sarah cared to be memorable on the show at all."--that makes a lot of sense. I don't blame people that do that. Yeah, I would imagine Sean wishes he didn't do the Real World looking back at it. I knew Aaron & Dominic from LA pretty much distanced themselves from the show immediately after doing it. Sean did a couple challenges and got a wife/family out of it so it couldn't be that bad :)
Yeah, the casting special for Back to New York and the Quest was held at a resort in Palm Springs where everyone lived together for 2 weeks and got to know each other. The producers picked their casts for both shows from it and had a few alternates as well. Lori expressed her interest in Kevin then but it was never fulfilled. There was some speculation that it was because of either his cancer remission (him not wanting to risk it) or that he may have been a closeted homosexual. At least those were the most prominent theories. The original "I don't care to be remember for being on the show" person is Andre from the first season. Aaron did not want to be associated with MTV if in the corporate world and Dom is a workaholic so he distanced himself that way but went from writing reviews to working at Disney's music division. If you watch the original Battle of the Seasons, Sean actually talks to Rachel a lot during that on the phone because they have one daughter and she is already pregnant with their second child -- in the span of 3 years after they got married. The Rush Hour mission in particular where he calls her after winning the Saturn. His interview actually has him saying: "We are just like any other couple just starting out and trying to raise a family." Winning a brand new Saturn (which was brand new car company at the time) was a great benefit. Anyone else notice that they never give away cars anymore? ... I'm thinking Mini-Coopers for everyone on the winning team would be nice boost to the cash prize.
Kevin from Back to NY had cancer? I was going to say he might be gay if he turned down Lori but I didn't know if he was in a relationship and that was possibly the reason. Lori was hot. Good call on Andre from the first season. Lots of good information--appreciate it.
Yeah, Kevin talked about it during the Casting Special. I don't remember where the cancer was just that he had survived it and made him realize his faith in God. He was wearing and referring to the crucifix he always wore under his shirt. I agree, Lori was smokin'! Others that pulled the "disappearing act" that I remember would include: Becky - RW1 Beth A & Glen - RW2 Cori, Jo & Mohammed - RW3 Mike, Jay, Lars - RW4 Kamellah & the other guy in Boston besides Syrus & Sean - RW6 Asian chick from RW Seattle (her name totally escapes me) Kaia & Matt - RW8 (Hawaii) David - RW9 (NOLA) All but Mark from RR1
Asian chick from RW Seattle (her name totally escapes me)
Janet--I don't think I would have known that if I didn't watch the clip though
Janet! Now, her name fully comes back - Janet Choi. If I recall, she was smokin' hot just like Lori. In Vegas, I think you could say Brynn fairly enough. Everyone else on that cast either did at least one Challenge or in Steven's case appeared with Brooke Burns on a couple of E! Las Vegas specials. From Chicago, I think Kyle wants to have us forget he was on it. Cara & Chris too. In fact, if I recall, Cara actually blasted the show somewhat. She mentioned talking to crew members that she had gotten to know and they admitted to her that they both got to and had to watch footage of her having *** in the house because of the nightvision cameras in the bedrooms.
What are peoples thoughts on Parisa? I still to this day can't work out if she is the biggest drama queen ever to grace The Real World or really was just the poor girl that got picked on all season long.
Could it be both? I wouldn't call her the biggest drama queen, but she was a drama queen. Like I died laughing when Trisha pushed her and she fell, it was absolutely ridiculous. And she was an attention-seeker (especially with guys). But she was also on a season with very shallow girls: KellyAnne, Trisha and Ashlee. The typical high school "popular" girls who bully the outsiders (I now really like KellyAnne, but she was insufferable on her season). I definitely think they had a mob mentality and picked on her. I actually felt for her when Shauvon left; they were my favorite girls at the time, and it must've sucked for her to get stuck with Trisha and KellyAnne. This is making me want to watch it again...
What are peoples thoughts on Parisa? I still to this day can't work out if she is the biggest drama queen ever to grace The Real World or really was just the poor girl that got picked on all season long.
She sucked. All she did was sit on the phone and cry to her family. She made no effort, she was the most negative person I've ever seen on the Real World. Even though I love Trisha she was young, immature, and ignorant. Parisa was to intolerant and made no effort. Even Ashli tried when she first came in the house and Parisa was super cold and rude. Parisa sucks I am glad she's stayed away from challenges.
Well, if she did do one of the Challenges, perhaps she would go home before the first rookie

I actually liked Parisa as a choice for RW. she was an excellent choice in casting. If she wasn't in that cast, a lot of the drama wouldn't have happened early on; every season needs a catalyst. She did an interview about a year after filming and said that she had never been asked to do a challenge and she didn't know why which led me to believe that she would've considered it.

Probably because casting knew she was a pain and she wasn't worth dealing with again.
Parisa was good end of story. Kelly Anne and Trisha are the drama queens, FYI I hated B2NY Kevin. He was lame. And turning down Lori, ***? And what did she see in him? Sean DUffy should come back. Not like he's doing anything politically. And screw Rachel, I never enjoyed her presence. Janet Choi is an sporadic NBC correspondent. I even mentioned that earlier this year when I saw her. I heard about the Cara incident. As for Chris, please. Nobody remembers him nor Kyle realistically.
Episode 13, whilst at work Dunbar and Parisa have a tiff. Dunbar: "Parisa, shut the **** up" Parisa: "Dunbar that language is inappropriate at work, unless you want me to ask Chris (the boss) how to deal with this. So keep it up Dunbar" Dunbar impersonates her Parisa, walking off: "Okay let me go and ask Chris how to deal with this right now" Dunbar gets a formal warning.

Just thinking. Real World cast catchphrases: Denver: "Rockstaaarrr" Sydney: "Shut the **** up" B2 Las Vegas: "Beat it, nerd" B2 San Diego: "Making moves" St Thomas: "Get outta here" Those are the only ones I can think of right now.

I remember him because he was ******* awful. I still remember Keri's line to him about "scratching his balls" or something like that. It was hilarious. Plus, Kyle's pretty memorable considering he went on to star on Days of Our Lives (I think? idk one of those soap operas).
Yeah Sean Duffy should definitely quit his job as a Congressman in order to come back to MTV. That makes perfect sense
I was going to say something but I thought I'd be nice for a change and let that slide. It honestly amazes me that anyone thinks his political career is "unsuccessful" and he should try to support his family (including all 6 kids) by doing "MTV stuff" at 40
Nevermind that Sean Duffy was a very successful District Attorney for a decade before he ran for and won his Congressional Seat in 2010. Even if he loses his seat in 2014, he is still a lawyer by trade, I'm sure he'll want to give that all up to compete in Challenges again.
Just thinking. Real World cast catchphrases:
Not really a catchphrase, but when ever I think of Hollywood the first thing that comes to my mind is "Let's not get ghetto." Random, but I think it would be interesting if they cast a modern-day Uncle Tom with someone else who was African American.
Yeah Sean Duffy should definitely quit his job as a Congressman in order to come back to MTV. That makes perfect sense
Worse has happened so you never know. Sounds like he is extremely bitter too.
I don't think Sean is bitter so much as trying to distance himself from what the Real World has become known for more than anything. When he did his season, it was still kind of groundbreaking but now it is viewed as a show about drunken idiots living in a house on MTV. The only bright spot to that is that Jersey Shore makes them look tame at times.
That was a Denver promo, right? I only spotted Alex, Jenn, Brooke and Stephen.
It came out right before Denver. Svet, MJ, Adam, Paula, Davis and a lot of others were in it. There's a part two with Coral lol
