Ah... actually disappointed about both of them. I'm hoping for an Evan and Diem elimination some time soon. Jenn's departure surprises me. I would have definitely thought Aneesa and Brittini would go before her. This challenge seems crazy. I'm extremely impressed with how the Hollywood girls have fared.
Honestly, I don't think that any of the guys coming home could really surprise me too much anymore. They're all good competitors and unfortunately someone has to go.
As for the girls, Jenn coming home doesn't surprise me. I just don't think that she would've been able to beat someone like Tori, Rachel, or Brittini (she seems to be doing very well).
Both Derek and Jenn have what it takes to get to the end but I never pictured them making it into the final challenge. In fact I figured that Derek would have gone pretty early since there are some killer competitors on the guy side...no offense to him. Jenn seemed more protected with Rachel so I always saw her getting far and she is proven. Still there are so many factors outside of just who is a good competitor or not so it'll be interesting to see what lead up to all these duels.
Jenn!!:( I like her very much and expected her to go to the end, but she made it this far. I am shocked that Diem and Brittni outlasted her, not saying they are weak or incapable.
Derek going is sad. he is a good guy, but at this point the remaining six all had a lot to offer, and he ended up at the short end of the stick.
I'm not surprised. And to be honest I expected Aneesa, Evan, Brad and Diem to make it this far as well as either Brittani and or Kimberly (who is gone now).
Just going by how last Duel was I expected those who have had more experience with it to make it this far and the newbie girls to make it far.

I agree. I knew that the people who were on the first Duel would go far on this one too, but not for the simple fact that they were on the first one. They are strong competitors. I never expected it from Brittni or Kim, but I am pleased to here of their performances.
Do we know how many different types of Duels there are? And do we have any clue if they are similar to the first season? More physical? More mental?
We know many of the details, but these are the mysteries we are leaving until the challenge airs next spring.

wow, interesting turn of events ...... I actually projected Jenn to win this Duel vs Brittani, but was hoping that she lost - Good. (I'm not saying that Brit beat her even though I hope like hell she did, but I speculated a while back comment #469 or #459 that she would go in after Paula). As for Derek, I would not be surprised if his "loyalty" to the "big alliance" costed him. I am willing to bet the farm that he avoided Brad if he picked his opponent.
V1man, Bacchus, or the powers that be ... do I sense a band of outcasts finally breaking the "big alliance"? I say that because something stinks here .... I am starting to sense that Landon has this big "bullseye" on his back and sacrificial lambs will fall by the wayside in an effort to eliminate him.

You expected Jenn to beat Brittni or Jenn to win? I had a feeling Jenn and Paula woube close this time around, and it turns out they fell one after another. I'm not sure Derek was loyal to them, but I am sure he was the first one to leave from that band.
I don't think the outcasts are trying to break them, it seems to me that the ones furthest away from the core, are the ones getting the axe. Where as Diem, Rachel, Brad, Mark, etc., are still there.
(I'm not saying that Brit beat [Jenn]...)
That would be an excellent thing not to say...
The only person Brittini beat is Brooke which is rather like not going against anyone... :curtianpeek:

I think a duel between Colie and Brooke would be exciting.....wait did I say that I'm her biggest fan.

Hey V1! That's not nice! :cry2:

That was funny V1.
Perishable, I agree. I want Evan out of there. But I am starting to feel like it will not happen. If he goes home though, this Challenge will officially be ten times better than it already is.
As for Derek, I would not be surprised if his "loyalty" to the "big alliance" costed him.
Derek made it pretty far for someone who is fairly new. I think you have to join up with the people who can take you farthest in the game, and when you've gotten there you have to be responsible for your own fate.
So, Brittini's only been in one duel?
V1Man said the only person she beat is Brooke. So unless there's another situation with an odd DQ, I think it's safe to assume that Brittini has only gone in once. It's pretty amazing that a newbie has made it so far into the challenge with only that one win. Kim was there for less time and went in twice more.
So...my guesses would be that Jenn or Rachel took out Kim, and that Aneesa or Rachel took out Paula. I don't even have a guess as to who took out Jenn. I think Aneesa, Rachel, or Tori physically could have, less sure about Diem.

Now that I think about it...I am curious as to who took out Jenn. I'm not surprised she went home, but I would be surprised if Aneesa or Rachel took her out, or if Diem was able to beat her. And I didn't think Tori would be going into a duel until the very end, if at all. Oooohhhh, this challenge is looking so interesting!!
Hey V1! That's not nice! :cry2:
I know! And just last week I said I was going to be the one holding out the olive branch. I made the first move and there was nothing reciprocal. I just call 'em as I see 'em.

I am curious as well. Jenn is proven to be a good competitor, and I would be shocked to see Aneesa or Jenn go up against her, just because they are friends, not because it is not likely. Diem and Tori are left and to me Diem is capable of beating her in a few things but not many. Tori is just my guess.
This Challenge is shaping up to be great.
Jenn was someone I wanted to make it to the end. I kinda feel bad that she isn't going to make it. Seeing as that there is still 10 people, I am guessing the finals is going to have a bit more people than last time.
Peaaaaaaaace out Jenn and Derek. Once Evan gets out of there, I'll be really happy w/who is left for the guys.
I like Derek. I'd like to see Evan go, he was one of my favorites until he was part of the get rid of coral-katie-beth thing in Gauntlet 3.

I didn't really mean that I disliked Derek...he just hasn't had as big of a role on these shows as the other guys who are left. Except MJ...I'm not really a big fan of him either. I agree with you about Evan. And the whole thing about how he is in the "Vets" alliance with Rachel is just laughable.
Also...how awesome would it be if Mark Long won? Just...cause.

Yes but I wouldn't have minded him winning...he was a genuine person. I don't really like MJ, never liked him on his season either. I have always LOVED landon. I want Brad to win though. He deserves it.
I wonder if Mark is getting along with Evan. We need Mark to send him home.

I can't really remember a damn thing that he's done, but I will take your word on him being a genuine guy. I just remember MJ from G3? I think and he was really gone as fast as he showed up. I'm rooting for Brad too. But, like you, I wouldn't mind seeing Mark or Landon taking it.
Ugh...I think one of the bigger dudes could send his *** home. On the first Duel, he was so mentally freaked out by CT that he didn't stand a chance. We need intimidation tactics. Someone should develop a Boston accent and a ghetto thug persona fast...

I guess I should say that he seemed like a genuine person on G3.
Yes, and he tried to cheat. That seriously cracked me up. On G3, he considered himself leader of the vets. WTF?
