That's not exactly how it happened. Julie said the line about skipping circles around Katie in a confessional, and lost four or five skips into it. Julie was showing off (fast revolutions, not bending her knees) while Katie was just being as slow and steady as possible. Coral's beef with Julie was one of the few things I hated about Coral. I loved both of them most of the time, but couldn't stand Coral when she was flipping out on Julie. I'm glad they didn't do more than the Inferno together, cause they were both great separately.
Eh, same thing. So my rendition was more interesting. lol. I actually think the Coral/ Julie fight was one of the best in the history of the show. Doesn't matter if they didn't mean it all that much or you liked both of them. In my opinion, it was hilarious. It was interesting to watch for me at least.
Anything that Coral says is funny! LOL.
The good old Inferno days... Drama- Katie/ Veronica. Coral/ and Trishelle/ Julie Competiteveness- Timmy/ Miz/ CT/ Abe/ Darrell/ Holly/ Christena Missions- Window Washer, the Bungee one Life Savers- Coral and Veronica won it when they needed to the most Comedy- "This is the only time you will see me bang Trishelle" Timmy Shocker- Katie beats Julie and David and wins the Challenge Challenges just don't have that flare anymore.

Drama- Katie/Veronica, Coral/Mike/Trishelle, Sarah/Road Rules Competitiveness - Theo V, Dave, Adam, Veronica, Nathan, Alton, Mike, Rachel, Sarah Missions - Dukes of Saturn, Red Baron, All or Nothing Life Savers - Veronica won the last one to save her from going into the Gauntlet; Theo won a lifesaver, giving him the tiebreaking vote, which sent Abram into the Gauntlet; had Theo not saved Sarah, she would have gone up against Mike, and it would've been VERY difficult for her to win, potentially losing her 5th gauntlet Comedy - Sarah: Thanks for not voting me in. Adam: There's always tomorrow. ...Theo (RW): I had to do well, otherwise I'd go to the Gauntlet. Sarah: Welcome to my world..... (after Trishelle won Perfect Fit) Sarah: Who'd think Trishelle would be good at puzzles? Shocker - Sarah wins 5 gauntlets and eventually the whole challenge; Coral gets bit by a spider and Real World loses, in spite of having a stronger, quicker, smaller team
That was off the top of my head too... it just slipped when I was posting: Trishelle Leah Derrick Coral and Evan Kenny Melinda Eric Brad Adam and CT Shavoun Chet... Did Tonya end up going to the hospital on the Gauntlet? I remember her walking in with a cast, and Nathan made a comment... But I am not sure if the on site paramedics just gave her one.
I believe Elka and Tonya both went to the hospital. It wasn't shown, but it was definitely implied.

I hope that since The Real World: LV is going to air later that we have some of them on challenge 21. But my question is, Do you guys like it better when people appear on a challenge immediately after their season or the way it's going now?

I would prefer to get to know someone before I see them on a challenge. However, even if someone from the LV cast were to go compete on a challenge directly after their season, we'd still see their RW season before their challenge.
What do you mean by "the way it's going now?"
Since season 21 we haven't seen a cast member on the challenge that airs right after their season.
Since season 21 we haven't seen a cast member on the challenge that airs right after their season.
Oh so you mean that the challengers would essentially have no idea who they are because their season hasn't aired yet? That hasn't happened in a LONG time that I can think of off the top of my head. That's because recently the departure date for the challenges have either conflicted or been really close to the leave date for their season.
I remember Rachel telling Beth on BOTS that she wouldn't know her because her season just started airing. At one point in time The Real World or Road Rules and The Challenges would air simultaneously. The Real World or Road Rules was on at 10 on Mondays and The Challenges were on at 10 on Tuesdays. (Road Rules was on at the same time BOTS was and Chicago was on the same time as BOTSeasons)
Random thought, but if Brad would have beaten Evan on the Duel 2, how do you think that would have altered the Ruins?
Random thought, but if Brad would have beaten Evan on the Duel 2, how do you think that would have altered the Ruins?
The Champions would've still dominated. The Challengers would have most likely just acquired a rookie.
The Champions would've still dominated. The Challengers would have most likely just acquired a rookie.
I'm sure they would've gotten Evan in the spot that Brad had, considering Evan wouldn't have won a challenge yet. Would they still have sucked? Yeah, but they would have been a bit better with Evan instead of Brad.
It could've changed things a bit. Evan was the brawn and the mastermind of The Champions team, so they would've lost their best player from a physical standpoint as well as their master strategist to the other team while gaining a mediocre competitor who hasn't proven to be much of a leader or a very smart strategist at all.

The Philly cast filmed Inferno 2 before their entire Real World season aired. I'm pretty sure the first episode of Inferno 2 aired the night after the finale of Philly.
Better yet imagine if Evan hadn't won The Duel 2 and CT being on the Ruins and both Evan and CT being on the Challengers team.
I don't think Alex was very non-athletic. It seemed more like he just didn't want to be there. My worst competitor list: Casey, Shauvon. At the top. No doubt. Maybe Cameran, Brooke, or Nick. Also, you saw Ashli in only one mission, with an injured toe. I think she should at least be given a chance to redeem herself, before we start saying she's terrible.
Cameran never shown weakness in the challenges she done. The only thing is that she quit going in the gauntlet against her friend kina. i can remember 4 challeges she did do and she didnt suck at it. however she got a dq for entering the snake pin to fast in battle of the sexes 2. She wasnt slow in the first two challenges in gauntlet 2 she was in. So she quit, and maybe she is weak but it was never show that way.
Better yet imagine if Evan hadn't won The Duel 2 and CT being on the Ruins and both Evan and CT being on the Challengers team.
Yea that would have drastically changed the whole challenge. It's interesting that certain things that may not seem like that big of a deal at the time, can have a pretty big effect on future challenges. Another example I find pretty interesting is if CT didn't get kicked off the Inferno 3, Derrick could still be looking for his first challenge win. I am not positive, but I don't think Derrick was friends with Kenny or Johnny prior to Inferno 3, which means he might not of been on their boat on the Island. If he didn't win on the Island, he would have been on the Challengers team on the Ruins, which would have helped their chances but wouldn't of put the Challengers over the top IMO.
I know there has been a discussion of the top 50 best competitors in challenge history, how about some of the worst to play the game. SOME OF THE WORST CHALLENGERS: In order for competitors to be listed: -They must be competitors who are always going home early -Lack very much athleticism (like Alex from RW: Denver) -Known for mental breakdowns -Horrible elimination record *BOLDED Competitors key the absolute worst *RED-COLORED Competitors meaning they probably don't belong in the category. 1. Jo (RW: San Francisco) 2. *Cameran (RW: San Diego) 3. *Casey (Fresh Meat) 4. Montana (RW: Boston) 5. Danny (RW: Austin) 6. Katie (RR: The Quest) 7. Tyler (RW: Key West) 8. *Brooke (RW: Denver) 9. *Alex (RW: Denver) 10. *Shauvon (RW: Sydney) 11. Ashli (RW: Sydney) 12. *Dave (RW: Hollywood) 13. *Nick (RW: Hollywood)
So if you quit a challenge that makes you the worst or weakest competitor?? Dave, Cameran and Jo shown no weakness in any of the challenges on the challenges. Jo didnt even compete in any.

It stopped when Inferno 3 premiered, and it was kinda weird to see the RW Sydney kids on The Island when usually they would have been on The Gauntlet III.

It aired after Denver but before Sydney. So while they where filming Real World in Australia they could have been filming G3 in Mexico with the new Road Rulers.
IMDB has a premiere date of Feb 1, 2005 for Inferno 2 and it appears as though RW: Philly aired through early March.
Oh then they must have overlapped even more than what I remember. Edit-Wait, I just checked TV.com. It says that the first episode of the Inferno 2 premiered March 7, 2005. It then says that the finale of Philly aired March 8, 2005. I thought I remembered that correctly! Well, I got them mixed up in terms of Inferno 2 being on before Philly but I knew they had the premiere of Inferno 2 and finale of Philly one after the other. I distinctly remembered thinking it was so strange that they aired the shows back to back and both had Philly cast members.
uhhh...how about the FIRST Duel where Brad "beat" CT in that lame DQ? The same way Beth got DQed?
It was posted somewhere that the Beth DQ was decided afterward and that there was some confusion, because the rule about the flag being ripped and not unlatched wasn't clear.
I still think to this day there was some shady **** that went down with TJ & production in that Landon/Brad match-up from Duel 2. They knew what the finale was going to be like and they knew what Landon does for a hobby... he would've killed everybody in the finale and it would've been boring and anti-climactic to watch. So... what do you do? Give Brad a freebie cheap point on a "rules technicality" and then allow him to break the very same rule that allowed him to get the winning point.
I completely agree, I mean if you look on the duel what was the last event before the final challenge? A swimming event. Like where the **** does that pop from. There's wasn't a single swimming challenge in duel 2 and the fact that one of the last 3 males has an definite edge over the others in this area seems a little fishy to me to have this as a last event. It's like they want to do whatever they can to keep CT from the final so its more entertaining And on the final challenge, where does this soccer goal **** come from? They know Wes played soccer in high school and brad's got no legs
And on the final challenge, where does this soccer goal **** come from?
I mean, soccer is Brazil's national sport...

I was watching The Duel again a few weeks ago and I noticed how Paddle Me went about. It started off with one partner already on the surf board and one partner on the dock. The partner jumping off would obviously be in the back. Svetlana, CT, and Aneesa were paddling in the front while Wes, Jodi, and Brad were paddling in the back. If you're in the front, you can only use your arms. You can't use your legs while the people in the back used mostly their legs. Paddling with your arms is a lot more tiresome than paddling with your legs. That's why when they got on individual boards, CT was exhausted. Jodi finished the race way before CT did and I'm pretty sure Jodi isn't a faster swimmer than CT. It was CT's fault he lost because he made the stupid decision of being in the front of the board. Wes was not exhausted at all and came out with the win. Brad and Aneesa just had no chance because they sucked in the first part of the race. And saying that having a water challenge in the first Duel and not having one in the second Duel isn't suspicious. I'm pretty sure challenges are predetermined before they even compete. And as Mold's said, soccer is a huge sport in Brazil so....... Yeah.....

That still has nothing to do with the final challenge. When in the history of finals has there been a 1 on 1 lets play the national sport part? It just came out of nowhere. Duel 2 the national sport was rugby. They used that for the first challenge. Makes a lot more sense than chucking it into the final because it gives a huge advantage for one challenger over another. I'm not entirely sure the challenges are predetermined. They're constantly trying to find ways to increase the ratings(Look how many times they've used CT for promotion and they promised a midseason twist which is completely false). It's not a stretch for me to think that they would as the season dwindles base a challenge that they think will draw in the most ratings They knew CT would smoke brad or Wes and it just seemed like they tilted the challenge in a way that would put CT in the best position to be eliminated. Obviously it was his fault DQ'd in push me but the events leading up to it were sketchy to me.
I'd be curious if there's a stat out there on who's hooked up the most on the challenges.

Also the reason that swimming was used more in the first duel may have something to do with the weather, im pretty sure they filmed the duel 2 during the winter where the duel was a summer challenge. Not everything has to be a conspiracy.
