I think Austin and Fresh Meat 1 would be better off in the new school group because that way the teams would be more even. If new school started with Sydney, the teams would lopsided like they were on the Ruins, all the good, manipulative, power players on one team, with all the schlubs on another team.

Yeah, old school Road Rules used to be season one to season eight, while new school was season nine and above.
I think there are still a decent amount of Road Rulers who would consider doing a challenge. Katie, Darrell, Mark, Derrick, Dan (VR), Derek (VR), Rachel, Tina, Adam L., Jillian, Susie have all said they would potentially do another challenge giving the timing, circumstances and format.

If they are going to try a variation on Rivals but that is new, I am assuming it would be some sort of pairs and the couples makes more sense to me than Old Guard v. Newbies, especially considering most of the target audience would see most of them as oldies unless they paired Vets with First-Timers as teams.

You gotta be kidding me, I will be so glad to see Kelly Anne again on a challenge again. I will believe it once its official or once I hear it from Mrs. molds. I hope this an individual challenge or a challenge where the same people can't go into elimination.

She's friends with Mark and Robin and has met the new Vegas cast. She attended the premiere. I know she's friends with Jemmye too. Just cause we don't see the cast members interact on TV, doesn't mean they haven't met off camera, haha. Robin and Trishelle have never been on a challenge together but I'd assume the fact that they're both close with Katie means they became friends through her.

Yeah that's why I said they might communicate with her more than I assume. I had just went total creeper mode and went through everyone she follows on Twitter and noticed she doesn't follow many alum besides Mike Mike, Katie, Robin, Johanna, and a couple others so I just thought she didn't talk to many of them since RWers seem to all be so "close" on twitter lol

- Trishelle, Katie and Jonny Fairplay were once roommates in LA. (that's just a fun wasted fact...) And Robin knew Fairplay...
- Trishelle, Katie and Robin all worked for Beth (and me) on the same TV project in 2005 (See the images below from that video). They all knew each other then. LA is a "small town" in many respects.

I was told that she was actually under contact (and therefore paid) to be a replacement. I'd heard that she was having a tough time then in her personal life and that BMP was very kind to her because of that. It's one of the more decent things I've every heard they have done.
Starting from Rivals and the next challenge, they will only have cast members from Spring Break Challenge, the Real World, and Fresh Meat.
I think there will be no Road Rules cast members in the future challenges even though there should have been since there were plenty of rivals in past challenges and there were a lot of loose cannons, crazy people, egomaniacs, bad boys and bad girls.
They should invite the Road Rules cast members back to the future challenges even though most of them are old and retired. There should be a Challenge hall of fame, and team challenges where they have Vets, Rookies and Legends.
It's so weird, back in the day I thought it was weird when someone from the Real World didn't do a challenge...now it's a surprise if someone from the Real World actually wants to do a challenge :/ no wonder they use so many Fresh Meat people...I think they need to cast interesting/athletic people who would do challenges for the Real World....it'll keep things fresh and new in the challenge world and we dont get the same lame casts for the Real World that we have been getting since DC.

Sorry to break from the discussion but I just watched the Gauntlet 2 finale and it was the SADDEST THING EVER!!!! There was no physicality whatsoever. It was just so anticlimatic. Im glad they havent done a final like that since.

I understand for the After-Shows, and for twitter and their other online accounts, but if the Challenge is filmed over the course of 3-4 months (so Nov-Jan at least), and the Real World's season's airing ends around December, then the San Diego cast would be away filming the Challenge when they're supposed to be filming their Reunion and the S#!t They Should've Shown in December...
