I'm not typically one to defend Emilee, but I'd prefer her over about 80% of the people we get on challenges these days. Then again, I'd prefer boring-*** SD Ashley over most of them as well if only because it'd be a fresh face. There's no reason Tyrie should have been asked for a fifth challenge, for one. Same goes for Sarah. And don't even get me started on Paula.
I agree ten fold. I would rather see Emilee than most of the Vets that Plague these shows.
So I was just thinking of this the other day. I think it would be safe to say that a lot of people that we saw on challenges up to Cutthroat, we probably won't see anymore. On challenges like Rivals, where they need to cast specific people to get the format they want, people that didn't get the show good ratings will not be contacted because they don't fit into the show. Same with this challenge, its sounds like its gonna be something with relationships. So that being determined, so many people are already weeded out because they may not fit the format. This is probably why they aren't doing a Duel III because its not a specific format that requires a specific group of challengers, like Rivals and this new challenge do. So they are coming up with formats like pairing you with your worst enemy or with your ex which everyone wants to see, which they hope to get good ratings. If they take 13 guys and 13 girls and do another Duel, there is a chance that some people may not bring much to the show and the ratings will suck. On The Duel 2, only about 5 or 6 guys got a decent amount of camera time. Nearly everyone on Rivals got a fair share of camera time because they're stories were being followed.
If what you say is true then I think that's stupid IMO. Because that's just asking for the same type of people to keep coming back. I know the ratings aren't the best but at some Point these veterans are gonna want to move on (**** some of them have already) so what BMP needs to do is to cast as many new faces as possible...they can still cast the vets(because they're established and have a fanbase) but at the same time Build up a new generation of challengers because I(and many others) are sick of the same old ****. And like I said before they cant keep relying on the same people forever.(although at times it seems like it).
I agree but without Tyrie we wouldn't have Jasmin.
Gah I dunno, i still got love for Tyrie because he was one of the best things about RW: Denver. I think if he would last more than 4 episodes we'd see that character everyone loved 5 years ago, instead we're just given an underachieving random loud mouthed dude who leaves early.
Yes she could. She was first out on Cutthroat and didnt do anything outstanding. I also thought she was the most boring girl on Cancun. Mandi >> Emilee
She didn't really have a chance to do anything, considering she left in the first episode. Not really a fair statement.
She didn't really have a chance to do anything, considering she left in the first episode. Not really a fair statement.
Aneesa and Robin left the first episode on Rivals, and so did Cara Maria on FM2. So i think it is a fair statement because those girls made more of an impression than Emilee did.
Aneesa and Robin left the first episode on Rivals, and so did Cara Maria on FM2. They were thrown into a position of making an impression. That's not even a fair comparison, especially as veterans of the challenge vs a rookie. Cara Maria went through the fresh meat boot camp against Laurel and was propped up as her main competitor. Another comparison that isn't fair.

I sure dont, cant remember anything about her besides kissing the girl with the iii's in her name. I remember Jonna, Jasmin, CJ and even that other guy with the piercings but cant remember **** from her, so if she cant stand out on her own season with only 6 or 7 people how is she going to compete for camera time with 28 people? I guess she can be her usual over dramatic self like she is on twitter but she'll just look like a drama queen. Bring back Brook from Denver before asking her back, she was a drama queen but she didnt do it just for attention, she was actually nuts. But I will say that there are some people that are boring on FM2 and I think they were only chosen to comeback because their partners were the main people on the show, same with FM1 like *** did Casey do that was so great besides being screamed at? I was surprised they asked her back cuz she sucked so much. Same with Mandi, she got yelled at by Jenn and I guess Theresa is still here cuz she wanted to bang Wes/Kenny but if she went after CJ then I doubt she would get asked back. Anyone who screamed/got yelled at is back besides Danny's girl lol.
We weren't talking about previous shows. We're talking about first impressions on the show they were eliminated on the first episode.
Busame with FM1 like *** did Casey do that was so great besides being screamed at?
I'm not Casey's biggest fan, and was especially annoyed with her on the Ruins, but I can see why she was brought back. During the FM season her dynamic with Wes was one of the more interesting things that season, and she always had a self deprecating humor to her which I liked. I'm glad she's not on every challenge but I liked her on 3/4 challenges she was on.

FM is really unfair, especially when they cast horrendous athletes, felt bad for Ev too. But yeah Tonya/Jionny were funny to watch, they should have brought Tonya's partner back.
We weren't talking about previous shows. We're talking about first impressions on the show they were eliminated on the first episode.
Yes but to pick these people they should have stood out in their season, the girl was a filler and that's pretty much it. She didnt even go out in a bang. If they knew she was interesting they would keep asking her back, Ev was out 1st on FM1 and was quiet but I guess BMP thought she had something interesting and she was strong, and I think they keep the strong FM girls if Emilee showed she was a good competitor then maybe she would be asked back.

Just because someone doesn't get asked back doesn't mean they weren't interesting. And just because someone keeps getting asked back over and over again doesn't make them interesting and it doesn't mean they bring any entertainment value. I mean come on you mean to tell me that Mandi, Sarah, Camilla, Theresa, all are entertaining and good competitors and/or entertaining? You're telling me that Brandon, Vinny, and Luke are entertaining and/or good competitors?(well Brandon and Luke are more middle of the road but Vinny just sucks). Please. Oh and don't forget that there is a long line of people that BMP have casted that didn't stand out all that much on their respective Real World/Road Rules seasons. Jamie(San Diego 1) Nick(Road Rules X-TREME) Christina(Road Rules South Pacific) Chris (South Pacific)...And the list goes on and on. So this whole "if they stand out they'll get asked is just BS.

I agree with you on Brandon, Mandi, Vinny, Luke, Theresa, and Camilla though. They are horrible on these challenges. And by horrible i mean they are wall paper. I keep forgetting Luke made it to the finals on Cutthroat lol

Just out of sheer curiosity, does anyone know who Evelyn replaced on Fresh Meat II?
Just out of sheer curiosity, does anyone know who Evelyn replaced on Fresh Meat II?
Jonna, they said so on the show itself.
Jonna, they said so on the show itself.
It was only mentioned on one of the dailies
Jonna, they said so on the show itself.
Ahh... interesting, I must have missed that.
Ahh... interesting, I must have missed that.
You wouldn't have missed it if you were a member here when those spoilers started coming in ;)

And yeah as someone said those guys haven't done more than like 1 show. They seem to try and get the usuals and try out some of the new RW people and if they cant fill the cast they get randoms.
Okay another Challenge face off. Which challenge do you all think is better: Fresh Meat 2 or The Island. I personally don't care for either season but I would have to give the crown to Fresh Meat 2. It really wasn't all that entertaining or eventful but I do think it's one of the most strategic seasons in this show's history. Almost everyone was in on the game at some point whether they were winning challenges or just plotting and scheming to get to the end. Wheras on The Island everyone just laid down for "The Family" (which was a stupid nickname for an alliance) although it did have Paula losing and crying in the Treasure box in the Finale(which was funny as ****). So what do you all think?
Fresh Meat II was better. FM2 was boring, while The Island was just straight up bad.
I'd say the Island, the format was terrible but the Ev/Johnny drama was good and there were a lot of twists but no one besides Ev and as you said "the family" alliance was playing the game. But good underdog story I guess, even though the season was boring up until Ev's face off. FM is unfair, half the people are stuck by chance with ****** partners and its always 1 team that dominates, the person who gets 1st pick has a huge advantage. And they played up the Wes vs Kenny **** even though they seemed fine with each other in the dailies, they should have done the Wes/Kenny rivalry thing on an individual game.

I guess it's not much of an advantage lol. But yea Fresh Meat was better, the island is so unwatchable. The way the women were treated and the way the let themselves be treated was not entertaining for me.
Wait til the next challenge in 2012. I wonder who will be with who and what will happen. Most of the main alliance makers are not going to be in the challenge that's coming.
Not sure sure if you are talking about the one filming now or if you are taking a new contract for granted.
I'm talking about how on the challenges, the cast members form their own groups in order to make it to the end.
Both Danny and Darrell got first pick and they both got sent home first. I guess it's not much of an advantage lol.
Lol I know! What a weird coincidence theres some curse with picking the strongest girl, but I guess Darrel/Cara are dumb when it comes to puzzles because Pete/Jill had 1 of the worse times, and I have no idea what happened to Ev/Danny. But obviously if you're partner sounds good on paper then you would have a much better chance than those who got the left overs. Kenny had a huge advantage on fm2 and of course Ev was stuck with the guy that nobody wanted. And it was really pathetic that she had to carry more weight than him, like come on, on FM cast people that are some what descent, dont screw people with Lukes, Vinnys and Caseys. Some of the worst players came out of FM lol.
Where can I talk about the new challenge without reading spoilers? Other than the main spoiler, which are the cast members that are already there.
