If you were in charge how would fill out the remaining spots if you don't have enough of people from that cutoff to agree to do it to make an actual show happen? Would you just throw the whole show to the garbage or expand the options to have a bigger pool?

Define don't have enough--they can't get 20 people from pre-2006 to agree to do this or they can't get THE 20 people they want?   Using 20 as an estimate.

 

 

they just need to do a champs vs stars format but with ALL challengers, make it old school vs new school and put it in LA

anything that is not "The Challenge" but just them talking for 20 minutes about veronicas life today is an aboslute waste and will get 0 ratings 

It's a reunion show with production judgement of what is old school. It's not going to be the same as champs vs stars as far as the freedom goes because of covid & it's not going to be as extreme as a regular season. While they are older I still think if you put this people under the same roof with camera and alcohol they are going to deliver some type of shit show. 

So are there not going to be competition?

To my understanding yes and with a prize money at the end no idea how much/if it's for a charity.

No, I would keep pushing back the cut-off point until there are enough people. Not trying to start an argument. I'm just anticipating a reality where Paula and Kendal both say yes and they pick Paula. Not saying whether its a smart or dumb production move but it would hurt my old school heart.

That's fine--the 20 people they want--and, yes, the social media backlash is definitely something that everyone has to worry about these days.  Shocked The Miz hasn't taken more heat for the Jodi naked/swimming pool scene yet.

I doubt the Miz would ever get any backlash over that his origin storylines with many Divas (see the stuff with Layla and how he "owned" the contracts to several Divas to prevent them from hooking up/dating other wrestlers and sometimes telling them what to wear). His character is less of a heel/villain now but it plays into his ~journey and so would any "indiscretions" on this show..

I'm watching Inferno 2 on netflix right now again - I really hope we get the fun vibe and living conditions out of this OG Challenge (also a good ol' cheesy opening credits with the cast in it).  

Also PinkRose....is this, as of now, gonna be aired on MTV...or is this going to turn into a Netflix thing since Netflix is randomly showing The Inferno 2 and Duel.  And do those two seasons being on Netflix have any correlation with how casting is going for it?  Like to refamiliarize casuals with some of the great OGs? Or is it just legit they picked two good seasons randomly to show on there lol

lol read what we're writing.  There is no true definition of what old school means...we all have different opinions.  Some of use believe any challenge pre fresh meat is true old school.  We know MTV isn't folowing that rule - that's just what some of us long time fans define it as.

I can confirm with 100% certainty Paula will not be on the show. I work with her, and talk to her several times a week. She was heading a zoom meeting with our team yesterday, and after i stayed back and chatted with her about some work things. Brought up the challenge and the OG show, and she knew all about it, but said she wasn't formally asked to be on the show..and even if she was invited she wouldn't go back unless they paid her a million dollars (her exact words).

The zoom call wasn't recorded (Atleast not on my end), but I can provide proof that I work with her, and that we communicate almost daily
