I dont think it would be bad to have a Republican with an activist of any of those causes. That would create instant conflict.
The reason this will still fail is because they're creating conflict rather than allowing it to naturally play out. In the older seasons a situation or conversation would arise and that is how the roommates with opposing viewpoints would have conflict. With this type of casting you're essentially casting roles for people to play so you end up with a Republican for example walking in the house with a MAGA hat on ready to pop off with their guard already up because they already know why they were chosen and what they're expected to deliver.
I'd bet money that back in the day they purposely put people like Mike/Coral in the same house because of they're opposing views and knew conflict would eventually arise. I see no difference here. They've always casted people with roles in mind IMO (dumb hot girl, nerdy/loner outcast, hot jock etc)

I'm talking about the cast not the casting directors.
It's the fact they are telling them about it instead tho. I'm sure they have always picked who would cause issues but this time they are telling people who they expect to be in the house, they are basically letting the cast plan out the narratives ahead of time. Like if a Republican is cast and they know already that there might be a black lives matter activist, they already know who they are gonna be antagonizing. It also kinda hurts the growth people might get from being around different kinds of people since they will already go into the season with a idea of who will be there

This was the point I was making. I would say I expect to see a bunch of stupid fights but I won’t even bother watching.

We have Leroy already and they try to exploit that character with Cam AYTO7, it brought nothing at all to the show. There is a plethora of Black men who are MAGA/overly conservative à la Jesse Lee Peterson or Tommy Sotomayor who are big on YouTube. It wouldn’t be neither new or interesting, to cast those people, because they would do nothing but embarrassing themselves, and by extension, the whole Black community !
What? I think you read that wrong lolThey are looking for cast members that oppose each other. One will be a Republican (Not specific race) and the other will be someone that opposed that person since they will be an activist of one of those causes.
Indeed I did. My bad
That still wouldn’t work because it’s so unoriginal and it will eventually make things worse regarding BLM movement.
Those sad personalities they’re after, plus the fact this is on Facebook?? Keep it. 15 seconds into a 30 second vine compilation on Facebook and they want me to watch a 20 minute ad. I can only imagine how this will be. It’s a no from me.
Since it’s gonna have some “personalities”, Gio Rivera (AYTO4) where u at ?
It would have been the perfect show for him to talk about him having PTSD from being tortured while younger and police brutality since his young cousin died from it, and finally how he deals with it on the daily basis.

Ughhh I agree. Maybe not for RW, but I always thought he deserved a Challenge spot. He would be what Bruno was supposed to be lol.

I wouldn't mind him on the RW because he seems like he actually has issues but I feel like on a challenge where things are so strict he would lose his mind and do something crazy.
I'm from California. Has anyone gotten an email or contacted from California? I heard about casting calls for other states, but none here and I'm curious if I should expect if there is a chance I will be casted still

Bet Netflix would have gotten a better casting group to replace these idiots.
