They're probably worried that if they cast a bunch of newbies no one will be tuning in to an already almost dead show. I think they should stay away from former reality people because they are too aware of the cameras/TV but I wouldn't mind IG people with decent followings.
Im in the final stages of casting for Season 33 of the Real World, and i really hope i get it. IM not your avarage person, ive been throught so much in my life, im not a IG model or a DJ, and i deff dont have abs. I feel like i have a legit story to tell and a story that can help someone out there struggling. Wish me luck yall. But if i get into a house with someone like Frankie Grande, id end his life, i cant stand people like him, these fake *** IG personalities nothings REAL about them, i really hope Casting realises that there old format wasnt making the cut and that they NEED to cast real people, i guess we shall see,

I think they just have to be careful and not make it another Ceejai/Jenna case. There have been other conversations before that have gotten through to each other like Coral/Mike but I don’t trust that with the majority of the type of people who wanna be on the show now a days

yeah it’s literally the Real World formula. The real stories come with the clashing personalities most of the time but they definitely set up conflicts with casting

Thats why GBOGH was a bit amazing since it had real shit in it but they better make sure to have more, and those people to have a good personality to back it up.

There is a plethora of Black men who are MAGA/overly conservative à la Jesse Lee Peterson or Tommy Sotomayor who are big on YouTube. It wouldn’t be neither new or interesting, to cast those people, because they would do nothing but embarrassing themselves, and by extension, the whole Black community !

They are looking for cast members that oppose each other. One will be a Republican (Not specific race) and the other will be someone that opposed that person since they will be an activist of one of those causes.

The reason this will still fail is because they're creating conflict rather than allowing it to naturally play out. In the older seasons a situation or conversation would arise and that is how the roommates with opposing viewpoints would have conflict. With this type of casting you're essentially casting roles for people to play so you end up with a Republican for example walking in the house with a MAGA hat on ready to pop off with their guard already up because they already know why they were chosen and what they're expected to deliver.
These ex-reality stars have to be real thirsty to sign up for an online reality show. And if they pulling reality stars then no MTV ones.
