I said the same thing about not getting spoilers for S30 and it lasted 2 days
i hated bloodlines to begin with. Except Mitch slid in my dms lol but other than that I hated every second and then it propelled Cara ******* maria to win and now she thinks she's holier than thou
Also I didn't mind Bloodines as a season, dare I say I enjoyed it. Two OGs Abram and Aneesa were primary focuses, Kelly Anne came back, I really like some of the missions, and it even had a team component. As far as play-out the format was straightforward by modern challenge standards. That and the CM Abram things was good tv to me
Old Schoolers shouldn't be taking focus away from the New kids if they really can carry this show. Everyone that has ever been on The Real World and Road Rules should be CONSIDERED and those that can add to show, new or old, should be cast. I hate AYTO but Tori adds to the show so I'll enjoy finally watching a new girl perform well against the likes of Cara & Camila. Hell, Hunter's fine with me because he's at least there to compete and competes well. I have no idea why anyone would be invested in Cory's elimination against Derrick H....does anyone believe either can do well this season? If so, kudos to you. Keep hope alive. Cory, even if he makes a final, isn't capable of winning.
With you 100% But my main qualm isn't competiton, its personality. I honestly couldn't tell you one thing that distinguishes people like Bri and Britni from each-other other than their hair and where they come from. The new kids are all cut from the same cloth. The ogs were not "only" cast because they could be reactionary, they all had a unique flavor and a interesting ******* life story or world view. Derrick, Darrell, Veronica & Aneesa are among the most mult-dimnesional people on this cast, the rest for the most part only have just one gear.
I think Challenge13 or Lurker brought her up in the spoilers thread a couple times, indicating there's tea to do with her. I also read on the wikia that LA Tami got a call which would be everything

You gotta take those rose-colored glasses off. All of them were cast the same reason the new kids are cast now: Because they can be useful to the show in some way wether that be drama or just appealing to a certain group of people. This isn't The Real World.
And in what world is Darrell Multi-Dimensional? He's the same person he's always been: Low-Key, drama free, will strike back if he's tested.
I think Challenge13 or Lurker brought her up in the spoilers thread a couple times, indicating there's tea to do with her. I also read on the wikia that LA Tami got a call which would be everything
Tami is way too good for this show lol
She's on Baskettball Wives now so that's debatable.

Basketball wives gets good ratings on VH1, you could cut it in half and it still wouldnt be as much as the challenge gets

Aneesa & Veronica were definitely multi-dimensional. Darrell was a good/great/elite competitor that had amazing one liners. Derrick was, at one point, the underdog that people could root for and then he became the champion everyone else on the cast liked and respected. Casting for The Real World & Road Rules was simply better back then. It wasn't about trying to find wannabe models that wanted to do reality TV

That's not multi-Dimensional though. In Derrick's case that's called just changing. Veronica changed too at some point.
To me. Multi Dimensional is someone like Abram: He seemed to have two sides to him. The Soft introspetive kind side and the side where he's just crazy, wild, roudy and just ready to kill.

Abram's bi-polar or psychotic. Multi-dimensional, to me anyway, is adding to the show in different ways. Confessionals, competition, drama, etc. but to each their own

That's called bipolar disorder.
Still multi-dimensional though.
No.
Cast members like Wes, Sarah and (even though I hate him) John are multi-dimensional. They add to the politics, the competition and the storyline of the show. Abram is just manic. Calling him "mutli-dimensional" is like calling Duel 2 era CT "a little bit hotheaded".
And to your original point, I love Derrick and Darrell but they're definitely NOT multi-dimensional in any sense of the word. They're good competitors, but they don't make game moves and they keep it too lowkey to be involved in any storylines (which is what I love about them).

No.they.were.not. Thats the thing, all these kids were invested in because they had a story and substance. Watch Veronica's original season, Road Rules pre eliminations was just as mucha documentary as it was a reality show. You were cast on the show if you had a unique perspective and you could add to the conversation. Veronica's parents were born in Cuba, she never met her grandmother and most of her relatives who decided to stay while her folks immigrated to the US. One of the first episodes of her season shows V and her cast going to Cuba during the first year that Cuba allowed American's to enter the country as long as it was with a student group. That was a HUGE deal. V met her family for the first time on camera and during the rest of the season you learn how that seperation plays a part in her relating to people. THATS why she was cast. Story and substance thats invested in.

Well then if that's the case then then Abram is still multi dimensional as he's added to all of that at various points so that still stands. And then you can't sit here and say that all the new kids are all "cut from the same cloth" or one dimensional because SOME of them have added to all of that as well(I know you didn't specifically say that but referencing the person I quoted).

But thats the thing, I'm not saying that V, Aneesa, Darrell etc don't have traits that production likes to see modern era challengers have, clearly they do, but you can still tell that thats not all thats going on with them character wise. They are deeper pools, they've proved it time and time again, it was hard to be cast on an MTV show pre Trishelle is your weren't. Perhaps I'm bias because I know their stories but when they come back to do a challenge I still see those interesting fleshed-out kids who are playing with a bunch of idiots who didn't have to be substantial to get cast (for the most part).
But even now their edits have been the most substantional. The edit has let people know Derrick, Darrell & CT are doing it for their kids, V wants to prove that she still has what it takes at almost 40, Aneesa is figuring out her sexual identity which has been hugely tested by Cory of all people. Alot more meaty than Camila getting diddled in a bush

I'm gald you brought this up because when she debuted she was a lesbian but she's meessed with guys as she's done the shows so I've wondered about her sexuality myself. I think she's more sexually fluid then she may have let on in this past. But that's just how I feel though.
Part of me thinks we've always been figuring out Anees'a sexuality at the same pace that she does lol, I think Cory caught her completely off guard and she was as shocked as the rest of us. But thats Aneesa's story, identity questions in all forms whether it be race religion or sexuality. Remember her fight with Robin? Classic shit. And thank you! Boston's my favorite RW season

Jo as in batshit crazy Gauntlet 2 Jo? When was she ever speculated lmaoooooo
I think Challenge13 or Lurker brought her up in the spoilers thread a couple times, indicating there's tea to do with her. I also read on the wikia that LA Tami got a call which would be everything

This show couldn't even handle Nia, y'all trying to get Tami to catch a charge lmaoooooooooo
When she pops Camila like she did Meeka in the club though..........

If they could even afford tami you already know that prize money would be like 50,000 split between 1, 2 and third place
lol I would DIEEEE at a Jo return, they'd have to bring back ruthie for that too

I think she's bi but prefers girls
