The Challenge: Rivals - Wes Bergmann

These people are in a vacuum. They are on a reality show. They are basically entertainers. They put on a show for us. Do I believe that Wes goes up to random people on the street and pours a can of soda on their heads or go around his neighbors telling them that he's a Greek God? No. lol Just like I don't believe that CT goes around yelling in someone's face for 12 hours straight like he did to Wes or punching people on the street. I would like to believe that these people are a whole lot (in some cases) and a bit (in others) different than they are on these shows. So, I can't say that they are bad human beings based off some reality show character they portray for entertainment purposes. That's going too far.

I don't care what he's like in Real Life.
Sorry is just a word. It's more about the actions. On the after show, he apologized to Cara Maria but then on the Reunion show, he tried to justify what he did. If he was sorry, then he wouldn't have tried to justify it. I'm sorry but I don't buy this whole "Wes is a good human being" *********] It's a tv show so I am not going to say he's a horrible human being, a serial killer is a horrible human being, he's no saint but no one is. And some of the other people dont even apologize for their actions. And he already apologized twice to Cara Maria so I dont think a 3rd is nessesary, and if she really was calling him ugly and stuff and they jokingly throw insults like that then she's not all that innocent and he apologized to her and hasnt poured anything on her after that. It's ridiculous his worst is nothing compared to the **** heads on this show, and you said you always hated him so the rivals stuff is irrelevant to you. what did he do on the duel? Or was it FM1 where he really got under your skin? He said some bad stuff to Casey and Yelled at his gf, he apologized and hasnt said anything negative about either of them after it, did you hate him on Austin too? Who do you like? CT? The guy that tried to kill a dude and bullies people all the time?

The guy that tried to kill a dude and bullies people all the time?
You really want to know why I don't like Wes? Austin - I didn't watch his RW. Actually, I don't watch any RW. FM1 - Talked so much trash about everyone including his partner and his girlfriend. Yes, he may have apologized but the fact is, he still did it. He liked to talk about how amazing he was, as a competitor, and look at his accomplishments but never looked at the details. His and Casey's weight they had to carry in the exiles and final was nothing compared to everyone else. Duel 1 - Talked trash again, like he always does. He went against one good player, Derrick, someone who had a large weight and strength advantage over, and barely won. Every mission except for the two swimming missions, he was towards the bottom of the list of who did the best. He lucked out in the swimming missions being at the end when it was crucial to win and he talked it up about how he is ALWAYS better than everyone else. Ruins - Once again, talked trash about other competitors and legitimately believed he was the only true champion on the team. Called just about everyone stupid when he has never showed any sign of being a bright person himself. Called everyone a ******* or lowlife because they didn't like him on the team and thought of him as an expendable teammate. Lost to Cohutta and it was blamed on his team for his losing because they did not help him. His fans make me like him less because there is always an excuse for when he loses. FM2 - Talked himself up while putting everyone else down... again. Built a majority rules alliance and ran it into the ground. It imploded. Made so many bad calls for his alliance yet believed he was the best around. Concerning his loss, yet another excuse comes from him and his fans - he quit. Everyone seems to think him quitting isn't as bad as him just outright losing. It's worse. That just went to show that had he had to carry as much weight as everyone else on FM1, he would have been **** out of luck. Rivals - Talked horribly about other competitors and his own partner. Sure, Kenny wasn't that amazing in the missions but Wes seems to ignore the fact that Kenny was the reason they won against Tyrie and Davis. He only looks at himself when their is a strong performance. He treated Cara Maria poorly and said it's because she's less than him. When he was the one being picked on, the bullies were "*******s" and "lowlifes" but when he is the bully, it's justified? Bull****. He had an awful showing on the final and he still has the audacity to say that it's somehow Kenny's fault. He cramps up and can't move and when Kenny literally carries him, Wes says that it's about time he carries him since Wes carried him throughout the season. Sorry Wes, but climbing a rope faster than Kenny does not equal being slung over someones shoulder. He makes mistakes like anyone else but the thing is, he calls himself a Greek God and gets under people's skin on purpose then goes and plays the innocent victim. This may all be a TV show and he may just be acting for camera time, but it's annoying and dumb. I do like CT, do I like how he beat up someone half his size? No. The thing about CT though is that once he realized he was in the wrong for hitting Adam, he hasn't done it again. He could have hit Wes, Johnny, Kenny or even Adam again for his **** show in their jungle but he didn't. Laurel gets hate (rightfully so) for bashing Eric and then going and bashing Paula. It's black and white with Laurel - either you think it was right of her or you don't. People who think it was wrong totally hate on her (again, rightfully so) because she didn't learn her lesson from the Eric incident. Yet, Wes gets an excuse from his behavior. A few posters above me said that after he was mean to Casey and Johanna he apologized and never picked on them again. Yet he did pick on Cara Maria. Sure, CM may not be the same person as Casey or Johanna but he still picked on someone else and talked down to them. Laurel picking on Eric, apologizing, not learning from her situation, then picking on Paula = Wes picking on Casey and Johanna, apologizing, not learning from his situation, and then picking on Cara Maria. I truly believe that Wes' nuthuggery around here is through the roof. It's just as bad as CT's nuthuggery but in a different way. With Wes, people try to make it out like he's the embodiment of perfection and can never do wrong but with CT, everyone thinks the bad stuff he did was awesome. And just so you know, I don't like the JEK guys either. I strongly dislike them.
False.
Whether it's false or not, that is one point out of everything I said.
You really want to know why I don't like Wes? And just so you know, I don't like the JEK guys either. I strongly dislike them.
You need to separate real life from TV. They have enough footage to edit the show however they want and make you like and dislike whoever they want to build the story around. I like just about every single character because they are entertaining to watch.
You really want to know why I don't like Wes? With Wes, people try to make it out like he's the embodiment of perfection and can never do wrong but with CT, everyone thinks the bad stuff he did was awesome.
Thanks for the log explanation, I will say though that Wes on Austin was different than Wes on FM1, you probably sould watch people's real world before you judge them because that show isnt a about money and there's no villian roles or underdog and they show things more fairly. Anyways what I got from reading that is that you dont like what he says in interviews that that he's cocky and thinks he's better than other people. That kind of stuff doesnt really bother me as much as someone hitting another person or calling some one bad names.Mainly because it's a tv show and I dont take it seriously and they need people to say dumb stuff and be over the top to **** other cast members off to make things entertaining. But not going and punching someone in the face or make some one cry. And apparently him and Cara's dislike for 1 another happened before rivals and they never really explain it and they're just 2 people that dont like 1 another but he hasnt cussed her out or called her names. Honestly everyone on the show has acted like a ****** bag and to me Wes is just the lesser of evils not including the guys that stay out of the radar and it's good to know that you dont like the other ****** bags but then liking CT sounds kind of odd because in the past he was one of the worst and is still a bit of a bully. As for FM2 he did own the whole house and would have took down Kenny's alliance easily if it wasnt for the fact that everyone in his alliance had someone to drag them down, call that an excuse if you want but Laurel was the strongest FM girl and Kenny is stronger than Luke. I was really impressed by him and Ev, they had two people pretending to be on Kenny's side and Kenny didnt catch on? Even after Jenn voted a different way than Kenny in 2 different deliberations he would still go and talk strategy with Ryab and Jenn's teams. And Wes was basically getting Kenny to send in who he wants through Ryan and somehow Kenny never realized that they were playing both sides. And some have said that some of the events on FM2 did not happen the way the editing showed but Iam not going to get into that. And I dont get the statement on bold, to me it seems that as soon as editing makes some one look good they forget the **** they've done, and CT is better than before but he's still an ***, he was screaming at CM too, said he's put her bf to sleep ( Iam guessing that means kill him) and said he'd go to Kansas and kill Wes' family, which yes sounds very funny it's still a little over the top like something a psycho would say. And nvm I get the bold statement now.
I would watch this video of Nehemiah & Leroy on the afterbuzz ustream. Nehemiah makes some great points about Wes outside of the show and the character that he portrays on television. http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/16998731
When I say I think someone is a wonderful human being. That dosen't mean that I think they are perfect. It just means that I think those people are fairly nice individuals. It's just like JEK, I wouldn't say they're wonderful human beings or horrible human beings. I would say JEK are troubled individuals.

Of course not....
I haven't had a chance to listen to that yet, but Nehemiah wasn't on FM2 and this topic was heavily discussed at the FM2 reunion. Pretty much everyone agreed Wes threw Danny under the bus.
There's a difference between not being able to help him any further and throwing him under the bus. Kenny and Laurel won the challenge, therefore one of the 4 teams in the alliance were going to go in no matter what. It would have been unfair to throw CJ/Sydney in for the second time in a row, or Landon/Carley who were arguably the strongest team in the alliance. Had they thrown either of those teams in they would have 100% lost their votes. Evelyn/Luke already went in and was one of the best teams in the alliance so it would make no sense to put them in. The entire alliance wanted Danny's team to go in, they all saw him as the weakest team in the alliance. Had Danny not been thrown in the alliance would have been destroyed.
Or they could have sent in double agent Ryan instead. He'd have gone home and Wes would have had the numbers advantage.
Kenny and Laurel won, so they were the team choosing who goes in. He wouldn't have picked Ryan because at that point he was under the impression that he was with him. He was going to pick one of the 4 teams in Wes' alliance. The alliance had control of Kenny's vote through Ryan. The alliance would basically tell Ryan who they want from their own alliance to go in and Ryan would tell Kenny to throw that team in (because Kenny thought Wes' alliance would vote Ryan in). The fact that Kenny/Laurel won the challenge sealed the deal that one of them would be going in no matter what.

I don't know why Derrick and other people claim Wes almost lost. Derrick clearly got his *** kicked.

Anyone else entertained by the Wes/Derrick twitter fight? I don't agree with whoever said Wes clearly kicked Derrick's butt. Umm..the reason why the duel is so memorable is because it was such a fierce battle from both sides. It went on and on and bothwere wiped out and in excruciating pain by the end of it. Classic final shot too. I remember Wes crying to Johanna (who he now claims he dumped) on the phone and saying he really liked Derrick. But Derrick on the after show spread rumors about Wes being on steroids that season.
I don't know why Derrick and other people claim Wes almost lost. Derrick clearly got his *** kicked.
Yeah he did, but it was a good elimination, Derrick didnt give it to him easily and Wes is just stronger. Definitely my favorite elimination, I dont like that Derrick now tries to say Wes only won because he was on steroids and that he was fat and Wes was supposed to win, that sounds like he's saying he sucked, like dude it's not like you're any better now, now he's just older and more flabby.
I don't know why Derrick and other people claim Wes almost lost. Derrick clearly got his *** kicked.
Derrick barely even followed the rules. They were supposed to stay on their knees the whole time. Derrick stood up multiple times to get leverage.
Derrick barely even followed the rules. They were supposed to stay on their knees the whole time. And no one follows the rules on these challenges, if you actually pay attention to the rules and then pay close attention to the challenge there's always someone cheating.
Brad managed to win without cheating. And the size difference between him and Big Easy is a lot more significant than Derrick and Wes. The difference is, one of the ONLY rules in Pole Wrestle was to stay on your knees, and Derrick didn't follow it at all.

Not sure why this turned into a huge twitter war of words. Unless they are trying to get invites back to next challenge or Derrick hates Wes THAT much. Wes's whole twitter post point IMO was to say he beat a good cast to win the duel 1. He spotlighted beating Derrick because that was his one duel that season if I remember. Than he said Brad, CT, Evan were also on that season in that first tweet as to say, "yea i beat all those guys". Not sure why Derrick flipped out on that original post. It wasn't bad at all. If Evan said that same post in reference to the duel 2, he probably would have rt'ed it. Derrick just hates Wes to an extreme. I am not a big fan of either guy tbh, but all the smack talk Derrick talks about Wes on every podcast, I think it was kind of deserving that Wes returns it a bit to say if i am so bad, I did beat you. Look at the result, he can dish it but not take it. Than he tries to make a huge deal so everyone will defend him.

The Wes fanboys and fangirls will say it was an *** kicking between him and Derrick...but it was nowhere close to that. How in the heck is at an "*** kicking" when the elimination lasted 20 minutes ? Wes did everything he could to win it and YES, it was close. Hence the reason why Wes was crying like a little girl and all cut up, scratched up, and bleeding afterward. Wes did win though, which is really all that matters....but anyone who said/says it wasn't close and hard fought needs to take their tinted fanboy/girl glasses off....

I'm not a Wes fan at all but from what I was told, when they were actually playing the game by the rules (both on their knees trying to rip the pole from each other) Wes ragdolled Derrick around pretty easily. It also sounded like a big reason as to why their Duel went 20 minutes was because Derrick kept breaking the rules by standing up and going out of the circle and then stalled while TJ reset them because he was gassed out.
