The Challenge: Rivals - Laurel Stucky

Debuting on Fresh Meat II, this Wisconsin native paired with her mentor Kenny to dominate the competition, only to lose in the final. Then, on Cutthroat, Laurel took no prisoners and spared no feelings as she bulldozed her way through the competition. But her indelicate approach only landed her with another frustrating second place finish. On Rivals, Laurel will have another opportunity to clench victory. But when this tell-it-like-it-is vixen is paired with an overly sensitive partner, tensions will certainly arise...
Laurel! Anyone? No? Ok.
She's the prettiest I've ever seen her in that pic - hope she does well.
Laurel looks pretty is this picture. Unlike most people on this site, I like Laurel. Very competitive.

She is definitely a great competitor and probably one of the ones to beat, but how she interacts with people is why I would rather see someone else win over her.

We can all give her that, she's one of the best. I believe Laurel knows that she can take out most, if not all, of the female players and doesn't have a problem riling 'em up or saying whatever comes to mind because from a politics standpoint, I know no girl would call her out.
but what she does during the down time makes it really difficult for me to root for her.
AGREE! Very difficult.

I wouldn't go that far.
I wouldn't go that far.
I suppose I went too far with that one. Maybe not EVERY girl but most.
I agree that she does get out of order sometimes (confrontation with Carley at the FM2 Reunion, the whole Cara Maria thing), but it's just refreshing to see a female competitor that isn't trying to be in cahoots with the top males (Paula) or having a filng with a top male (Johannna on The Island) to get ahead.

Johanna's "fling" during "The Island" was simply a carry over from their personal lives. They essentially were BFF/B months prior to the show taping.
It seems to me that Laurel may not always have enough in the tank for the finals sometimes. There's been two so far and both of them appear to have broken her towards the end. That's not to say that she hasn't done well, but it will be interesting to see if she makes the finals again and how well she does towards the end of it. Laurel really is something special now isn't she.

The main thing I remember from Laurel that season was that she and Kenny won the majority of the missions and came in second in the final. I also had no idea that Kenny and Johanna were that cool before The Island.

Honestly, I want to like her had defended her against lots of abuse her last year, but at some point I just gave up... heartless ******* that I apparently am.

Funny you should mention that...

:laugh2: As I read that post that's exactly what I thought. I can't wait to see how that even plays out and what the other's reactions will be. But I like watching Laurel compete, like most of the rest of you here do. Hopefully she'll keep it going this challenge.

On Cutthroat, though, she definitely carried a LOT of weight for her team. The part where she was crying about being at her breaking point was after an event that wasn't shown.

I remember Laurel remarking on FM2 that she hates running. I've always had the impression that many of the girls could beat her in a long distance race (though I wouldn't rank Carley among them).
I also like Laurel... that is the competitive and mostly confident take-no-prisoners (in reference to the game) Laurel. I still liked her after her conflicts with other girls... everyone has those on this show it seems... but I really don't like her in her drunken and/or mean stage where she disrespected someone's physical being. Other than that, I hope she stopped at that and does well on this challenge, proving the naysayers that she is a good competitor.
I like Laurel, and I was actually a fan of hers during the second half of Cutthroat (although I still have trouble looking past her fight with Eric). While her behavior toward Cara Maria was harsh at time, I do have a certain amount of respect for people who will take their complaints outside of the confessional. I'm really interested to see how her and Cara maria will compete together.
Laurel is hot. She has been a little rude, but I don't count it against her because she is so pretty and she can compete too.
I don't care, I'm still rooting for Laurel. It's not like she's killing anyone or kicking puppies. She makes for good television and is easy on the eyes with the athletics that most of the other female cast don't have or have enough of to make a difference.
Do you know what the event was?
From what I heard, Luke forgot part of his puzzle and Laurel had to go back (I'm not sure if the other two went with her) to get it.
Am I the only one who doesn't really find Laurel all that attractive? Her Cutthroat and Rivals pictures made her seem so, but on TV...
Am I the only one who doesn't really find Laurel all that attractive? Her Cutthroat and Rivals pictures made her seem so, but on TV...
I find Laurel to be pretty, but its a different type of pretty than most of the girls. She seems to have a significantly larger bone frame than a lot of the thin and waif-like girls on the challenges. Even athletic Ev has (what I think from watching FMII) a smaller bone frame than Laurel. This is also what I think makes Laurel to seem a lot taller and Amazon-like than she really is.

I don't know their actual heights, but Katelynn, Aneesa, and Robin are the only ones who look like they reach 5'8. And if you compare her to Mandi, Cara Maria and Jasmine, it gets even worse haha. So Laurel looks like a giant. One of the many reasons why I love her; I'm tired of only seeing girls under 5'10 on this show.

I was under the impression it was more around 5'11 when comparing her height to the guys. That makes me like her more :)

But still, she's taller than the average, so that's lovely :)
